This place is awesome! I hadn't tried it before because I figured it was just a wine/champagne bar. The meat and cheese platters here are impressive and they have a full menu of shareable plates. They also have flatbread pizzas and salads. When we first came, we just stopped for a glass of wine before reservations for dinner somewhere else. I have been here twice so far, with two different groups I joined on meetup.com. Both times I ordered soda (not really a drinker!) Both times I've been there so far, it has been in the afternoon before dark. The second time was just last night (March 30) and this was the first time I had any food from this place. A small place but very nice ambiances. On my second visit, once it got past 6PM, it began to get noisy once more people filed in. One thing I just don't understand is why happy Hour is at 4PM, when most people are still at work. Our group met then, though some of the people did not arrive till after that time. We visited to get a beer and a cider along with an appetizer, but after being served water and provided a menu, we waited 10 minutes (timed) and the waiter did not return. I love coming here with my husband for a drink or 2. I love the vibe of the restaurant, and they have great outdoor seating for nice nights. Me and my friend stopped in last Sunday, on our way home from Monterey. She was taking a nap because 101 north bond had car to car traffic. I've been to bubbles wine bar once before and I was pretty sure she's never been there before. So I woke her up When I found parking, by the way parking was pretty easy to find. We were seated right away. We both order our drinks, and then we decided what to order to eat. The food was amazing like it was the first time. The way the lights are currently set-up makes it feel more like an interrogation rather than a lounge. I love this little place. It's a really fun evening stop for good wine, great little plates of meats, cheeses, and other goodies, and excellent service. The location is easy to find with nearby parking and the interior atmosphere is very welcoming. Update! I tried to come here last night around 10:45 PM (Yelp told me they closed at midnight), but we were told they were closing at 11:00. When we said that we thought they closed at midnight we were told simply, "Not tonight." The server suggested we could order a glass of wine and maybe "chug it." Huh? If you appreciate wine, don't come here. The wine selection is weak at best, the food looks and tastes like it's from a party platter purchased at Safeway, and the service is painfully slow and incompetent. This isn't a one time thing either, I've visited four different times before I had enough. The name Bubbles is comical when you consider their selection of 'bubbles' contains libations such as Lamarca Prosecco for $25, which can be had for $10 at Costco, Safeway, and everywhere in between. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the price markup as that is expected, but rather the product sourcing. The reason for going to a wine bar is to try something you can't get for yourself at the grocery store. And lastly, the service. Tasting notes? Blank stare. Food pairings? Blank stare. The bill? Blank stare and a 40 minute wait. Seriously, the service sucks. Hire someone who actually knows how to turn a bill in a timely fashion. Go at your own risk. You were warned. P.S. I'm not a big fan of wine in general (more like, I "try" to like it), but I did find "one" champagne on the menu that I love -- sparkling strawberry (or something like that) sugar rimmed glass, and cut strawberries within -- Mmmmmmm. I have many friends that like to go for a drink at Bubbles, and now I can join them, and actually enjoy the experience ;) Their small plate appetizers are really good also. We went to Bubbles because my sis-in-laws girlfriend had her engagement party there, and she raves about this place. BOY WAS SHE RIGHT!!! Everything from the wine, to the food, to the very attentive knowledgeable staff was nothing short of AMAZING! So, of course we had the Bubbles flight to start, which is a generous taste of three sparking wines, so tasty and beautiful. Then a delicious Syrah, recommended by our server. We also had the Warm Brie Croustini, Pear Leek and Blue Cheese Flatbread and a cheese plate. Everything was perfect, and their cheese selection is much more than I expected. Great place!!! Don't like the wine flight you ordered? Too damn bad. They don't do any substitutions or anything to rectify the situation. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc flight - the first one was really good, the second two, not so much. The second pour was definitely a chardonnay, which I strongly dislike, and the third pour was tasteless. I only took a sip or two of those glasses, and we tried calling someone over to possibly rectify the situation (most places would offer to swap you out, and the Bubbles menu doesn't specify that there are no substitutions), but we were told that there was nothing to be done. Paid $16 for a two ounce glass of wine. Sad face because we really liked this place the first time we came too. Food was good and service was alright, but I probably won't come back. read more

We live in Morgan Hill and we love to see our town has unique charm which included our local business grow. It's our first time to visit "Bubbles" and it might not be a right time. Here's our experience :-- Wine : We ordered one Cabernet fight and a glass of Pinot. Overall is good but we think it can be "great" if there's some short description of each wine in a menu. By briefly description can give customer some idea what they will get. You can make it even "wonderful" if the staff will briefly explain about taste of it when they served, this will not only show how professional you are (in term of wine tasting place) but can make customer get excited to taste and experienced themselves. Food plate : We ordered flat bread and a little bite. Our selection is good paring with our wine. The portion of each plate is good and reasonable price. Service : The staff gave us apologize since we sat and waited for 10-15 mins to get a service/menu and took another 10 mins to get a table clean. We could see and understand it's really busy night. The staff walked in and out and tried to do his best. This is a big area that needs to improve especially if you want to see the business grow. The service should be considered based on max capacity that restaurant can take. It's clearly that the staffs could not handle it. So, what to do -- increase staffs ? reduce max capacity ? clearly assign the role to staff then can efficiently utilize all resources ? Other things that also need to improve : Manner, one staff kept bumping my chair many times w/o single apologize while trying to serve other table. Water, we had to ask for 2 glasses of water after finished 2 glasses of wine. It should be a first serve ? Clean up in time, should not leave an empty glass of wine on table. Atmosphere : Noisy night !!! We sat inside at a pub table. We understand that it might be difficult to fix customer's manner : talks/laughs out loud with high pitch tone !! (and even louder when getting a bit drunk !!) , bang table every single laugh !! We know it's their happy quality time but should they respect other's happy quality time ? We think maybe the layout can help reduce some unpleasant. A large table for group party/gathering should Not be in the center, that will disturb all small tables around. We observed that not only us that feel ear-pain but other customer seems to be rushing drink and get out too. You may consider to seat group party outside (with lamp heater) or seat them in private zone or in corner which you should install insulator/curtain to absorb noise !!! With the glass window & hard wall, it just makes echo louder noise !! Well, we will visit you again surely but may not be so soon. Our ears still hurt !! Mind you they were not that crowded...sat down and after 15 mins was wondering if anyone was going to help us... finally someone asked if we wanted water..so we took the offer. Waited another 5 mins..no one said ill be right with you. We were afraid how long it would have taken for wine and food so we got up and left. Funny that the staff saw us leave and never said one word to us. It gave us the impression you don't care. If someone would have said (sorry) let's do this right we probably would have stayed. My girl friend that lives in Morgan Hill introduced me to this place. I lived in San Jose, but would definately recommend to make the tiny trip to come here. They have a large selection of wine & champagne, & their plates are yummy. Loved the atmosphere! they have nice lighting with comfortable spots with pillows! love how their stock is held in the vault since the building used to be a bank. We had a delightful dinner and wine/beer tasting at Bubbles Wine Bar & Bistro. We tried a charcuterie and cheese plate and a crostini plate. We also had a sparkling wine flight and a beer flight and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious! The server was very knowledgeable and had a fun energy--which made our experience that much more enjoyable. It is semi charming. The wine vault is cool. The wait staff has no personality. I ordered a $5 pilsner from the menu, the waitress offered a pilsner on draft without mentioning the $3 extra charge for it... I couldn't tell you her name or what specials they had....
