My response to a PM inquiry from David, the owner. It's worth sharing. My husband, two friends, and myself were visiting the area for a week. My parents, who live on Mt. Madonna, highly recommended Bubbles. We dined there with our friends in the early evening of Friday June 6th. Our waitress provided wonderful customer service! There was not even one area she could have improved upon. I love when I am dining out and the wait staff glows with happiness in their position. This was clearly displayed at Bubbles. Our waitress definitely helped set the tone for an upbeat and very enjoyable evening. We will be sure to stop in the next time we visit, possibly around the holidays. read more

We came here on a whim because we heard there was live music - and we were not disappointed. Although the outdoor seating was initially full, we were able to snag a table close to the live music shortly after. The band playing that night was James Mitchell (?) and they were awesome. He sang a ton of country/hip hop medleys, that made you want to get up and dance. My group had a great time! Last but not least, the food was delicious! Stopped by here on a whim as we were traveling home to Marin from a week in Santa Barbara. What a great place. Check out there happy hour. Great wines, any of their wonderful "shareable" fare. I was very reluctant to even give 3 stars. It really hurts that me and my friends have always loved coming here listening to music sit in the patio have a great time. I would give 5 stars BIT the last few times we have come here omg the services was terrible just terrible. The owners are so beautiful and very friendly but I have to say I'm not sure what's going on. We were there on Sunday listening to the music and this dog was in front t of us barking away could barley hear the music I'm a dog lover don't get me wrong but it was really annoying. I tried to let them know but almost got into an altercation it wasn't worth it they told us to leave if we didn't like it. BUT THE WORSE THE SERVICE we ordered a simple appetizer took over an hour to get we were done with our wine when I finally got up and went to find our food. They never came to clear our glasses from the flights we ordered never came to ask if we wanted more drinks. They were serving the tables around us but just bypassed us the whole evening. We had to get up ask for our bill and we left. Again love it but unexcepable service. By the way most of the dogs out there were great. read more

Came Saturday 8/27. Band was awesome!! This place is a gem BUT the service is really lacking. Our server Steve NEVER came back to check on us after our initial drink order. We had to track him down to give him our food order. The tables were never bussed. The bus boy walked by multiple tables multiple times and NEVER picked up the empty plates. We along with others bussed our own tables. Lou was doing great to cover the others. I think that the staff needs more training. You have a great opportunity to be awesome. Maybe a model you could consider for music nights is to have customers come to the back door to order their drinks and food and the servers could bring the food to the tables. I've seen this done successfully at other restaurant/music venues. All in all we enjoyed our time and the food was good. We look forward to coming back. read more

Great place for a nice date! Went there with my husband for one of their music nights outside. Music was great, service was fast and on point, food and drinks were yummy. (I'm a Keto eater, and there were lots of options for me. But if you don't care about that, the flatbreads and crostini others were eating looked great, too). We got there early (while band was warming up... about 4:30) and didn't have a problem getting a good table. I'd recommend doing that. read more

This place only got one star because our server finally took our order after my husband flagged down a server after he took others orders who sat down after us. We looked around seen the OWNER and other servers paying attention to other tables who obviously weren't ordering anything, the owner finally came to our table to ask us how we were doing, then walked away right away. I have worked in a restaurant for 7+ years and never would allowed this horrible service. Apparently you have to not be a minority to get service here. We ordered sangria they brought the carafes but took 10 minutes to Bring out glasses. We also ordered food(a pretzel) that took 30 minutes to come out. We really wanted to just walk out an leave but we're good people and wanted to pay for what we ordered. This place is absolutely the worst! read more

What a gem! It was my first time coming to downtown Morgan Hill and it is so charming! We discovered this place with its cheery ambiance and lucked out on having the front patio to ourselves on such a lovely sunny day. This place was such a great find and my ideal type of menu. They have so many choices to choose from its overwhelming; charcuteries, flatbreads, salads, tapas, wine flights, etc. We ended up going with the 3 cheese selection and chose camembert, manchego, and irish cheddar. I was a little disappointed with the other cheese pairings which were just mediocre and not as eye appealing. However, the cheeses were delicious and the fresh warmly sliced baguette pieces and crackers made up for it! We also ordered the ahi tuna tartar which was layered with avocado and mango drizzled with a soy sauce glaze. Their chardonnay was also good and the service was prompt and excellent! The waitress did a great job of checking in and always re-poured our wine glasses when they were getting pretty low ;). I will be coming back! read more

This review is waaaaaay overdue -- especially for how amazing this place is! I've come here many times and plan to come back many more. All the staff here is always very friendly and fun to chat with. They have great knowledge of the wines here and can always recommend something to you. Food is incredible and recently their menu has expanded and the additional choices are great. The crostini's are a must try -- the brie w/ strawberry, balsamic and the salmon are two of my all time favorites here. Pear salad is fantastic and the prawns they just added on are delish. It's a good thing I live 15 minutes away -- any closer and I'd probably live at this place. read more

I'm so happy I finally got a chance to come here. Staff was pleasant and their wine selection was terrific. I loved the sparkling sangria with fresh fruit in it! We had the meatball sliders, prosciutto flatbread and meat platter. I think the meatball sliders were my favorite thing we got. So yummy! We sat outside on the patio...and it was a pleasant atmosphere. It's the type of place you can take your time in. They definitely don't rush you out. We will be back. Great atmosphere, food, wine, and service! My husband and I have been going to Bubbles for at least five years. Every time we go, we get greeted with a smile and professionalism. Both Kim and Lindsey have gone out of their way to make our stay pleasurable and memorable, and they always succeed on their wine recommendations based on our taste and food selection. The owners (lovely husband and wife team) take pride in assuring everyone feels welcome and at home, they stop at every table to talk to the guests, my husband and I really appreciate that gesture. The food selection expanded since David and his wife took ownership, about three years ago (keep it up, guys!), we are fans of the prosciutto-wrapped shrimp, the tomato soup, the salads, the sliders, well, you get the picture: we love the food appetizer selection! They claim that the kitchen is small, but rest assured that the food prepared in their kitchen is make with love and pride, using local and fresh produce and ingredients. The wine is displayed in a vault room (literally), as the location used to be a bank before. Their wine selection is nice, they have selection from local wineries to Europeans. I find myself drawn here every night I just wanna relax with a glass of wine and some tapas. Very high quality local wines, I would say the best in Morgan Hill. Simple high quality ingredients on their appetizers , I would think local farm to table foods. Experienced cooks and servers. Wonderful atmosphere , goof decor, nice location, very very clean. The owner very attentive and genuine (not so overly friendly, relaxed). I love this place, been here quite a few times now. Certain nights they features local acoustic talents, goes great with the wine and tapas. I've been told they hold parties to sponsor certain fundraisers for the community. This is what a local place should be, this should be the blue print for business in this wonderful city of Morgan Hill. They don't try to do too much, just what they are good at which is wine, appetizers, some music, great outdoor seating, wonderful servers, great management/owner, smiles everywhere and happy vibes . This place has improved tremendously since my last visit. The wine list is extensive and there is a larger selection of small plates. Service was much better too. I enjoyed the Happy Hour white blend, the ahi tower (wanted to lick the plate - but not very lady like), warm brie crostini with aged balsamic and the shrimp melts. All were delish. Im sorry guys, but not impressed. After seeing the 4 star yelp rating, a wine lover like myself was excited to visit this wine bar. I sat at the bar and was only the second person there. The first left shortly after my arrival. I was greeted promptly, but it ended there. The service was very slow. I wanted to try the food, but it took so long for the wine flight to come out, and I wasn't revisited by a server for close to 30 minutes afterwards. Once I was, I still wasn't offered a bite, even if my appetite had since expired. The wine flight was good. Had the CA pinots. I would have liked a glass, but service just was not there. I may try again, but I'd have to take a group of chill friends that won't mind if service is not up to par again. read more

They are literally across the street from a great Thai restaurant and have the nerve to sell overpriced disgusting shrimp with BBQ sauce and call it Thai shrimp. The "all meat flatbread" lol tasted exactly like frozen pizza, that distinct frozen pizza taste. These were some of the items offered in a special they were running. read more

My favorite thing about Morgan Hill aside from my boyfriend ;) This is a great place to grab a drink and just chill, I wish it stayed open a little later though. They have a great selection of wine, drinks, and cheeses. I would definitely recommend Bubbles to any of my friends looking for a low-key drink to end the night. We Stopped in last night with friends..and I realized I have not updated my review, and comments on the 1 table dog policy. I'm happy to review they have opened all outside tables to be dog friendly!! They have also even added a "pup plate", after we chatted with the owners one afternoon and mentioned how Monterey/Carmel have them. They took it a step further by offering actually a nice fresh home made type dog food +lasts nights even included a side of doggy ice cream! This review isn't for the service but rather their advertising for happy hour. Bottom line up front - beware they don't honor happy hour advertisements. So my wife and I went there for our date night - we recently moved from the East Coast and it's a treat to go have some good wine. We walk up to Bubbles and notice the advertisement for $5 glasses of wine! Score. Or so we thought. There are no indications happy hour is restricted to a set of wines or beers. So we ordered a decent glass of wine. Both of us. Then the bill came. Whoa. What a surprise. The advertisement doesn't jive with what they charge so beware. Full price ambush for the bill. When I confronted the server he seemed to think it didn't apply to all of their wines, yet there wasn't an exclusion clause excluding particular wines. He didn't want to work with us and thought my complaint was an issue. He did finally work with us, but did not honor their advertising. I just sent a note to David via the generic email address on their website. Wicked excited there is a dialogue between owners and consumers. read more

The wife and I stopped in here on a tip from a friend. Since my wife is a fan of sparkling wine, this was the natural choice. After some quick investigation I found out that they also had a small but excellent selection of craft beers. SCORE! As soon as we walked in staff greeted us with friendly smiles, and the friendly service didn't end until we were out the door. After scanning the menu we picked a couple appetizers and a couple glasses of sparkling. We were sitting at the bar so I was able to notice the kitchen. After seeing the selection on the menu and seeing the well plated dishes coming out, I was floored at how small the kitchen was! I have to say, the two girls knocking out food orders are magicians! The decor in the place is very well designed, it really made for a relaxing but fun atmosphere. We got a chance to talk to David, one of the owners. It turns out that he's only recently purchased the place, and in that time he's expanded the menu substantially and added the beer selection. I would have to give him accolades for this decision. These additions really made the place appeal to me more than it would have before with only salads and a wine selection. Not that I wouldn't be drawn by the wine, just that I'm more likely to come back more often with the food and beer as well. David was exceptionally friendly and I enjoyed talking with him and his staff. Linda has apparently been with the location since before David was the owner, and so she knows the place inside and out. I would definitely recommend pulling up a seat at the bar and saying hello over a glass. All in all I will definitely be going back again. If you haven't been in, you really have to. What can I say this place is cozy yet classy, has amazing ambience, is quiet and peaceful, and most of all they serve up fantastic wines and wonderful food in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere!!! Today I enjoyed a delicious Moscato from Italy as well as a fabulous local Viognier that had a beautiful delicate flavor with notes of apricot and fresh fruit. The service was friendly and cordial and our server was knowledgeable without being pretentious or snobby like some other wine bars. They also have fabulous food and the Warm Brie Crostini is artfully prepared with a fresh strawberry and a delicious syrupy balsamic reduction on top! Do not miss it! They also have great cheese boards and charcuterie plates! Great desserts too! If you're looking for a relaxed environment to enjoy fabulous wines and food then this is the place for you! YES! My friend and I wanted to go out for a nice evening. Nothing too crazy. She likes wine a lot. I like champagne a lot. And *cough* this is where Bubbles comes in! We both got the flights. I the Bubbly&Brilliant (3 different types of champagnes). Her the Sweet wines. $15 each flight. And sooo well worth it. I loved this place. It was NOT crowded, only three other parties where there on a Saturday night around 7pm. Wow! :) Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Kept checking up on us. The look of the place is very nice. Columbia Crest H3 stood out as an example of what I was not looking for... the wine menu had no description, just a list of what they had... so there was nothing to entice you into choosing a wine you never heard of before.
