I have always liked this family style Italian restaurant a lot. This location is extremely popular, there is always crazy wait, definitely make reservations on weekend nights. Had a family Chinese New Year dinner here, at first they seated us in a super tight booth, it was impossible to relax and eat for the 6 of us, WAY too cramped. Hubby asked to change to a bigger table, one of the host girls was accommodating enough to give us a bigger booth, glad they could sort that one out! The menu is family style, small and large options for all the items, but even the small ones are not that small. We decided on garlic bread, apple Gorgonzola salad, supremo Italiano pizza, seafood linguine and stuffed shells. The garlic bread was definitely one of the best, apple Gorgonzola salad was so refreshing, everybody loved it. The supremo Italiano pizza was so comforting, everybody enjoyed every single bite of it. The linguine frutti di mare has always been my favorite pasta here, tender seafood in spicy red clam sauce, so fresh and yummy. The stuffed shells were a little heavy but still very tasty. For dessert we shared a huge brownie sundae, I have never seen a sundae that huge, it was massive, and very delicious! The food was fantastic, we brought our own Moet champagne, just ordered bottle of San Pellegrino. Service was very friendly but slow at times, they really could use some more work on that. Poor experience at Buca. For those who have potentially poor experiences in the future, don't even bother submitting feedback on their corporate site or contacting whoever coordinated events either, you won't get a response from anyone. I think that alone will force myself and my guests to reconsider future events at Buca. The gist of my review revolves around 1 thing; I reserved a private party hosted a birthday event for 25+ people on a Sunday. None of their restrooms (both M/F) worked throughout the event and we weren't notified until we actually showed up. It's frustrating when all my guests are confused and are asking me where they can use the restroom throughout the entire event. Half the staff is telling my guests they can use the employee restroom (which they couldn't), while the other half is saying otherwise and sending them across the street to other restaurants. Besides that issue overshadowing mine and my guest's experience, our server was good and the food plentiful but average. Each of my guests were able to take food home afterwards. read more

It's no longer a set trio platter; order this if your group wants to try small bites of more options. Portion sizes are smaller than if you ordered the item individually. The antipasti salad packs a punch-you get the saltiness of the pepperoni and salami to offset the acidity of the vinaigrette dressing. It's a great choice if you don't want the standard salad. The chicken saltimbocca is a salty dish with the prosciutto and capers. The chicken was on the dry side; there's not that much sauce so I'd recommend to ask for extra sauce if you want your sauce smothered on your chicken. For a small, you get 3 pieces of chicken breast. We ordered the shrimp Florentine as our pasta dish. We couldn't remember which seafood pasta we ordered before, so we settled on this one. This was the only seafood pasta that didn't come with a spicy red sauce. The sauce in the shrimp Florentine is lighter-garlic butter, and the pasta comes with garlic shrimp, Roma tomatoes, and spinach. Very simple and on the bland side. Flavor wise, I'd pass on this pasta dish. Colossal brownie sundae: Wow! Aesthetically eye popping and belt pinching dessert. Share this! You can also bring your brownie sundae leftovers home if you can't finish it in one go. Ambiance: Loud and chaotic time with your family and friends. If you want a quiet romantic dinner, this isn't for you. Most parties here were celebrating some kind of special event. Service: Hit or miss. On a Saturday night, servers were rushing back and forth and items dropped (several cases of butter fingers that night). We needed to ask for water refills throughout the dinner. This is in contrast to another visit on a Saturday night when everything was covered. Price: Pricey for sometimes bland food. You'll get more bang for your buck if you get the Buca gift cards at a discounted rate at your local warehouse store. Our party of 4 easily had a $100+ meal. So why come back? Buca has generous buca club deals on someone's birthday. Currently, you get $20 off your meal and a free colossal brownie sundae (worth $10+). This is my sister's favorite restaurant or should I say was. We were so excited to go out and eat dinner. Bucca in general is always a nice restaurant and ambience but this spot was completely ruined by our server. We were seated quickly and as usual great decor, decent parking, and restaurant was empty. We got seated near the bar. The only people in this area at 730pm. Our server approached us rudely and curt. Had an obvious attitude. Had to ask her twice for bread and each time was given eye rolls. Wish I got her name. She had short black hair, glasses was near the bar area when "attending" to us. Then we ordered short rib pasta and honestly not worth it. No flavor whatsoever. Had to put tons of salt and Parmesan on it. Worst money spent and honestly would not go back to this location. I love Bucca. However, I stopped going after a few issues at a different location. I went today due to my wife taking me out for my birthday and it changed my mind for the better. The staff was awesome and friendly! The manager was funny, and our waiter Kathy was hilarious and friendly. She treated us like she knew us from before and miko who was another waiter joined in and helped out to make sure we were taken care of. Establishment was very clean, bathroom included. They serve complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil although garlic bread is must try. Service was good, waiter was attentive. Sad to say they serve Pepsi products. As a finisher, ordered the tiramisu. One complaint about my meal was the tiramisu, which turned out to be a layered cake version of tiramisu, which was okay . Our server gave us a little tour through the kitchen to our seat. We were astounded by their large menu & prices! Then realized their portions were HUGE. We decided to order the carbonara (meat on the side) & a margherita pizza. We had leftovers after we all ate and were satisfied. The pasta was creamy and not so heavy. First of all this is not our first time in buca but definitely our last. We ordered the apple garganzola salad was good, the chicken wings as appetizer was good. But when we got to the stuffed chicken it tasted pasty. We returned it and we ordered chicken parmasean, also had a pasty taste to it. Our table was right where the kitchen entrance was and the chef sneaky came out to get a soda fountain drink but caught him looking at our table a few times to see who returned the food he prepoed/cooked. Word of advice as a chef if you have an issue with someone returning your food perhaps go to the table and ask what was wrong. At the end I figured out what was wrong the flour they were using was pasty and that's what gave the chicken a pasty taste. Worse was we paid for our food so overpriced and the manager not once came out to see what was wrong. read more

Went to Buca with my family the other night to celebrate my moms birthday. It was such a great experience . From the moment we got seated, our server, Rosie, greeted us. Her energy was so upbeat and lively . It was some of my families first time going so they were unsure on what to get . Food was family style and as always, it was delicious. Couple that with the great service we received from our waitress, Kathy, and it made for a wonderful dining out with the family. We ordered the Ziti Pasta and Penne Pesto as well as an appetizer of bruschetta which looked pretty cool like it was something out of a Beetlejuice movie. Bruschetta was the best I've had as the garlic bread was very tasty just on its own. The ambience is very homely with pictures and decorations everywhere and wine bottles adorning the ceiling where we were sitting. I love going to Buca and wish there were more around. read more
