The antipasto chopped salad overflowed with generous toppings of meat, cheese, olives, and pepper-chinos. A large container of salad dresding nicely topped it off. The pizza has a thin and crispy crust and fresh toppings-I love the shredded basil. The spaghetti with meat sauce was rich but no cheese to sprinkle on top with take out. They did include an extra container of sauce. Both the meat sauce and marinara were flavorful without being overly salty. Warm bread fresh from the oven completed the meal nicely. We were serviced very well. The food was delicious. We had a group of 15 people and were immediately helped by our servers Emily and Jessica. They quickly served our drinks and took our orders right away. They constantly checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. We'd been here several times pre-pandemic, and the experience was always fine; though it's always busy and hard to get a table. Now that we're getting the food delivered, I think I have to drop the rating by a star. Right now it's all about the quality of the food rather than the dining experience, and the food is just ok. It's fresh enough and nice enough, but noodles are just so so, and the sauces are kind of generic. It's fine for a chain restaurant, but you'll never mistake it for someplace like North Italia. I suppose that I wouldn't mind as much, except that the food isn't exactly cheap. So if I'm paying the same price right now for home delivery, then it's not a winning option. I think that once life gets back to normal, I'll be able to rate it while taking more of the overall dining experience into account, and I'll probably give it another star. read more

[Review #41] Originally we were planning to eat at Rock & Brews but we couldn't wait 30+ mins. at 7:00 PM with 3 starving kids so we ran across the street to Bucca di Beppo. They're were packed as well but we still managed to get seated quickly. The dining room, where we were seated, was dimmer (mood lighting?) than the other sections, & the decor was busy, loaded with kitschy stuff & a wine bottle lined ceiling. Our server didn't look happy to have us in her section because we didn't look like a big order (usually = big tips). Since we, the adults, were still full from lunch, we ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce & garlic bread. Our order came fairly quick... however, the most basic of spaghetti was not al dente (MUSH! It's like leftover pasta reheated, & it most likely was!) & this was made only with meat sauce. How can you mess up such a basic/main staple? While the garlic bread was garlicky (it's quasi-redemption), the bread was hard & slightly charred (on the crust), which left a burnt taste instead of the nice buttery garlic you get from well-made garlic bread (sigh). Barely into our dinner, H's godsister needed to go, then she chimed in that she had to as well. As we were gathering the girls, H's godbrother started to get up too so I told him to grab his mom's purse since no one was going to be at the table (yeah, one might think we're doing a dine & dash, we're not; even if the food was subpar, I don't do that sort of bad behavior, especially around kids). Just then our server happened to walk by & asked where we were going-to the restroom & we can't leave our purses hanging on the chairs. I was miffed & slightly insulted when server thought we were trying to skip out on the bill when we barely started eating. Hello! we're moms & we can't help it if one child announces the need to go potty that the others will follow. And it's not like we can leave our purses at the table if no one is sitting there. Nonetheless, our server refilled our water glasses quickly & checked in a couple of times (we didn't need anything since it was a simple meal). An extra star for my belated birthday song. This group carries a tune well (redemption)! We were hoping to close the evening with an ice cream run but sadly, one of the kids was feeling chilled/sick & he didn't bring a jacket. Oh well... I'll mark Handel's for a future visit. If you have a large & hungry group that isn't too finicky, this is the place to go. read more

I love this establishment. As I walked inside we were led to the bar area to order our food to go. It was slightly dark, and the pictures of the walls brought you back to the 1950's and earlier. The bartender instantly greeted us, took our orders and made us drinks while we waited. We ordered 2 martinis and got bread. It was such a fun wait I can't wait to go back and eat there. After we got our drinks and meals our server disappeared, he never asked if we needed anything else or how was the food and drinks, empty plates were never removed, we called the server once because we needed more bread, that's the only time he came to us and when we asked for our check. quick and simple. went in today for the valentine special. hostess were great, servers were great. food came out quick and was great. only issues were , the seating with the little black round tables were flimsy , moved a lot while dining. very awkward silence, music needed to be just a little louder to makes us comfortable to talk. we had about 4 different servers come up to us in a span of 5 minutes to ask us if everything was okay. which it was. just seemed a little rushed , almost as if they wanted us to get out asap. but overall food was good, just needs work on making the scenery more enjoyable and romantic for this one day! read more

We went with a party of six to the Redondo Beach Buca di Beppo, and what a great time we had! Hands down, if you want a reasonable priced, delicious meal, this is the place. Our servers were fantastic(Christopher) - attentive without hovering. And management (Vet) was accommodating and helpful to the extreme. I felt like their entire goal that night was to ensure that a good time was had by all - and they definitely succeeded! I love the family-style dining because you get to try little bit of all the different entrees, so if one is not your favorite, there's all the others on the table to try. Did a great job at checking to make sure everything was in order and all guests had their orders and drinks. I know it must have been chaotic with all the different tabs of drink orders and with how large the party was but the professionalism was truly great!
