Pricing- I may be skewed, but I thought the pricing is reasonable. Some of the meat entrees I see usually run over $30 elsewhere in Vegas and California. Appetizers: Tried a few different appetizers, since we had a big party for a Birthday celebration: Calamari - excellent and tender. Fried just the right amount. Came with two different sauces - marinara and a tartar like sauce. I liked the tartar sauce. Brie with roasted garlic - taste rich and awesome. Italian Sausage stuffed mushrooms - roasted to perfection. The sausage was flavored just the way I like it. Good quality pork. Cream of Asparagus soup - heaven. Just the right amount of saltiness, creaminess and flavor. House salad with balsamic vinaigrette - very fresh leaves. The dressing was excellent with the right amount of sweetness. For the entree, I had the rack of lamb, medium rare, with squash and sweet potato mash. Both sides tasted great. Loved the sweet potato. The lamb could have been prepared a little more rare, but tasted like an excellent piece of meat with a very tasty sauce at the bottom. I also tried some of the NY strip. That was good, too. If you like meat and potatoes, with some tasty other sides and appetizers, this place is for you. read more

We come here a few times a year with our in-laws, who live down the street. For several years, the breakfast was beyond serviceable, with some really good choices, prepared properly and quite flavorfully. In recent years, though, things have changed...and despite multiple complaints to our server for the kitchen, they clearly don't get the message. So we are done. Issue 1: when serving a large party, while it is classy to serve the whole table at once, either you need to teach the chef to time his meals better or serve them as they are ready so everyone gets a hot, fresh meal. I received a plate this morning with cold Benedict and hot potatoes...yuck. Issue 2: speaking of the Benedict, poached eggs are served with an easy yolk, not a hard yolk. And hollandaise isn't supposed to be flavorless. Yours is. And when a patron wants a side, serve it warm...like their meal. I tell you this every time I come...and it hasn't changed. Not coming back. Customer service is a zero. Husband and I went for breakfast. He ordered a meat omelette with jalapenos. He received a cheese and jalapeno omelette. Things happen. No worries. My husband brought this to the servers attention so we got charged appropriately. The server insisted my husband ordered a made to order omelette with only cheese and jalapenos. He did not. I heard my husband clearly. My husband just said "okay", and we let it go. A few minutes later, said server brought over a menu and pointed at "made to order" omelettes. The server said "see the difference". Yes, yes we did see the difference actually. My husband did not get anything close to what he ordered. Bringing over the menu after we were going to let it slide was passive aggressive at best, horrible customer service at worst. Instead of an apology, the server wanted to give us an argument. Side note- the crunchy french toast was not cooked through, so is was runny inside. Very disappointing over all, and we are trying to be extra considerate during these challenging times. read more

We recently moved to the area and have been here twice. The food is very good and the view even better. But we will return more frequently mainly because of the staff! We felt they we all making sure we had what we needed, but more in that they all chatted as they were passing by. We love having a serving staff that engage in conversation not required to get our order. The Pro shop is adjacent to the dining area (in case you want to shop). I had gone to the Pro desk to see if they had some Advil. He told me they were out. A few minutes later he came to our table with Tylenol and wouldn't take any money for it. Just nice people! Valentine's Day Special Dinner: WOW! Our 5 p.m. reservation was perfect timing to see a beautiful sunset & watch all the Vegas lights come on. Julian our waitperson is great! (We have had him many times before.) Red tablecloths & white napkins with fresh flowers on each table. It was a 4 course dinner starting with a champagne apperitif which was unexpected, but fit perfectly (keep it up Buckman's). Everything was delicious! We each had the salmon stuffed with crab & a great pureed fresh mashed potato on top with a great sauce. Chad the Manager of the eve was very gracious. The chef outdid herself. I grew up in the NW, know my fish & go to Alaska to catch the best. This was the top of the top! Her special cannoli was off the chart & we lived in NJ close to NYC & know cannolis: super! We gave so many compliments to her Chad brought her out for a few minutes. Crystal is most gracious & super talented. I love coming here for the view and the food. The staff here are great. I would give more stars, but the wine selection is terrible! I wish whoever does the purchasing would consider broadening their horizons when it comes to the wine. Regarding the food, I have yet to have a bad meal. My husband and I enjoy the wonderful view and the service is first rate it is a friendly place to be casual and relax. Have a cocktail or a beer and order from a very extensive menu you will not be disappointed. They also have a daily special. If you feel like a steak I would reccomend the steak dinner which consist of salad or soup and potatoes and vegetabe and a great steak. First of all I would come here for breakfast all the time. They had a great breakfast special at a good price..! Great for locals. But like so many other facilities in this community they think everyone that lives here is rich so prices go up and the specials disappear. And I don't know where the chef comes from but what they offer as a club sandwich is anything but...! It's more like some funky sort of hammy sandwich thing....! Onions, salsa, guacamole ( this came on the side very small portion) sent back replacement had one tablespoon of black beans and corn plus more cheese!! Awful never order again! This is a gem in Sun City Anthem Henderson. When I wanted to take a professional mentor to lunch awhile back I called to make a reservation and got voicemail. The manager returned my call and took the reservation as I mentioned this occasion was special to me. The entire experience couldn't have been better. 1. Service: prompt and attentive. My guest made some special requests (items on the side, healthy options) which were generously accommodated. 2. FOOD: I should have paused to take a photo as the visual presentation was outstanding in every way. (Having had a roommate who had been a Home Economist at the Betty Crocker kitchens in the midwest taught me to attend to details.) WOW. And the taste and flavor were excellent. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. 3. View: seated by the window overlooking a gorgeous landscape. 4. Unexpected surprise: A stunning dessert arrived when we concluded our meal - artfully presented and scrumptious. The manager must have arranged that when I made the reservation. Impressive. My sincere thanks. Thankful that we have such an establishment in the community. Of note, I had previously gathered at the bar with a friend for a Knights Game - where there was an appreciative crowd to celebrate our local team. Was introduced to this spot today had no clue what I was walking into and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing view of Vegas and the well-groomed golf course. The options were plenty had to ask for a recommendation from my awesome server, got wings steak and a chicken sandwich all three hit my taste buds different in their own way. We came here for lunch one day. My turkey was raw and so was my brothers. I told the chef that it was raw and he replies with "it's ok the turkey is all natural, nothing will happen" are you kidding me? Lmao. The potatoes were raw as well the "grilled" vegetables were cold as if they didn't bother to reheat them since they're probably from a prep the day before. The food was just simply disgusting. My husband made a reservation at Buckman's for us to celebrate a belated Mother's Day dinner with his mother and her husband. We had been to Buckman's with them before and had a very nice experience, so were looking forward to our dinner there during our visit from Tucson. Though the reservation was made two days earlier, when we arrived on 5.19.18 at the designated time, the entire restaurant had been converted for a wedding reception. No one was near the front door to tell us what was going on. We had to search out an employee, who then found a manager. The manager said all the reservations for that night had been cancelled due to the reception. My husband asked why he hadn't been called, as the restaurant had his phone number. The manager gave a vague reply about 'trying to make some calls.' There was no acknowledgment that this was a disappointment or inconvenience to us to have our plans cancelled without our knowledge, just a very insincere 'sorry about that.' No offer to make up for it at a future visit (c'mon ... how hard would it have been to offer a free dessert, or something?) We went to another restaurant in Henderson, had a nice dinner, and were treated with courtesy and respect. We will never patronize Buckman's again, and will not recommend others do so. read more

I was in town for a wedding and we decided to play a round of golf. A friend recommended The Revere. Nice course with a great view of the strip. After, we decided to grab a bite at Buckmans Grill. I was surprised at the quality of food and service. Normally clubhouse food is so so. I had their signature revere salad. Spring greens with candied walnuts, cranberries, goat cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette. Really good salad. I would recommend stopping in and checking them out! read more

I ate breakfast here the other day and wasn't impressed with the food. The potatoes had that freezer-burn taste. You could definitely tell it wasn't fresh. The country fried steak, which took longer because they didn't have any ready, was very grizzly and tasted warm inside as if it weren't cooked thoroughly. I am stunned by the great reviews. The view is great, yes. When you get over that, there is nothing to recommend the place. Mediocre food, inconsistent quality, overpriced for what you get, not enough work staff, and an attitude that they are doing you a favor to let you in. We recently had a ladies evebt there. They ran out of food! Can you imagine? Never had that happen before in Las Vegas. So it was a set price for a certain menu (which we did not get). The people who came last in line (it was a buffet) got a cookie and a slider. Not a lot for $25 pp meal. I will say the wait staff tried hard to please everyone. I called Buckman's recently in order to place a take-out order, as I've done many times. The phone was not answered; it went to voice mail. The outgoing message was the same as always. This happens sometimes, when they are just too busy to get to the phone to take phone orders. I re-dialed repeatedly because, sometimes, they will eventually pick up. Finally, my husband told me that he would just drive over there, place the order in person, and sit at the bar and wait for it. He drove over there and both handicapped parking spaces were occupied. The parking lot was so full, he had to park all the way out near Hampton Road. He walked across the parking lot, into the building, only to find a lot of "dressed" people. He waded through them, walked up to the bar and observed one extremely busy Bartender. He got the Bar Back's attention and asked if he could place a take-out order. He was told "No," they are closed for a special event. He then had to wade through the crowd, walk across the big parking AGAIN in 108 degree weather, this time completely empty-handed. As he was leaving, three women who were not "dressed" for the special occasion but dressed for a casual meal at the golf course, walked in. Undoubtedly, they were also turned away. How terribly inconsiderate of Buckman's management. Simply changing the outgoing message on their voice mail would have saved my husband two long hot walks, as well as half an hour of our time. And a sign in the parking lot would have saved those ladies two long hot walks across the parking lot, as well as their time. This is very typical of Buckman's. Large groups overwhelm them and then their customer service goes into the toilet. read more

Never has been anything to rave about but in the past week I know of 3 people who have gotten sick within a couple hours of eating breakfast there. All I can say is WOW!!! From the views - to the food - to the SERVICE!! Everything was spectacular! I dined up here with my husband and 2 year old son for breakfast and my server, Diana, came out with the cutest Mickey Mouse pancakes for him! It was so adorable and my son loved it. Huge Mickey Mouse fan. How did she know?? The manager, Whitney, came by to check on us which is such a nice touch. Sweetest lady ever! I grabbed their lunch and dinner menu which look well priced and with lot of variety. We will definitely come back!! read more
