I thought I would try Buddys again. The pizza I have always loved. Thick fluffy inside crispy outside. Right amount of cheese, toppings, sauce. 3rd tine a huge disaster. Deflated $23.00 non filling overly chewy pizza. 3 strikes you're out, Buddy's. Never again. Just close this location. It's horrible. I had my fist bad experience with this location on 2021. I thought I'd give them a try in 2022. Here we are again in 2023. Same quality. Flat lifeless pizza. They're not even trying.

BBQ Chicken Pizza and The DPTV. Delicious!

My fiancé had yet to try Buddy's Pizza ever and tonight was the night. I had the original once before at their main location and already love it. We polished off several sizes this pizza! It is well made from high-quality ingredients and the cheese! Can we talk about the cheese!! The crush is pure parmigiana perfection! It is not greasy at all and I noticed a hint of spice in the tomato sauce but I am a weakling when it comes to heat They put plenty of sauce on as well. I detest a dry pizza slice . It was ready for pick up on time and we used a two dollar coupon off one of the 8 inch large square pizzas found online. I like the style of the box too. Aesthetics matter! We will be recording this for sure again.

    Bread was warm and yummy

I simply adore the original buddy's. This location was a surprise to me when I drove by. Went in and ordered the lunch combo. Cheese slice with buddy bread and a pop. First sign this was not going to be good. No Diet Coke! Lol. They had coke, and Coke Zero. The pizza was cold. It obviously had been sitting out for a while because the box was soaked in grease and it was cold when I ate it in my car after walking out. The bread was good though :-) I'll stick to a sit down restaurant for buddy's from Now on

My FAVORITE Pizza!!! Grew up just a few blocks from the original location on 6 mile & Conant. I have eaten at Sterling Heights, Warren, Farmington Hills, Livonia, Auburn Hills, & Grosse Pointe locations but, I must admit that the original is my most bestest favorite! Nostalgic! Try them! Salad, bread, & pastas also great. Bon appetite! xoxo

This place is great because of the pizza but sometimes the execution misses the mark. For example sometimes the pizza is undercooked or wilted, missing something like the signature crust is lacking proper cooking or something. Otherwise this pizza is the bomb. This location is inside a strip mall so it's kind of small and doesn't have beer or wine. Also, where are the little pepperoni's? They were better by far, anybody older than 30 knows what I'm talking about. Better pizza execution is at the original location on Conant in Hamtramck and a better sit down location is on 13 mile and Van Dyke. Those are closer to 5 Stars.

The BBQ chicken pizza is awesome. We always call ahead for a to go and they are usually late with getting it ready.

Staff was good and lobby clean. However pizza slices were under cooked only has 1 pepperoni on it. Really poor taste and quality.

We were celebrating a birthday, so we decided to pull out all the stops -- and I'm really glad we did. I'll say right up front that the prices are a little higher than what I would normally spend on a meal, but honestly, it was absolutely worth it. They started us off with garlic bread that was incredibly delicious, and from there the experience only got better. Our server, Andrew, was fantastic. He mentioned that they might have been a little short-handed and apologized that he felt he couldn't be as attentive as he normally would be, but honestly, we never would have known. He did an excellent job keeping our water glasses full and making sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. At our table, we ordered the Chicken al Pastaio, Spaghetti Carbonara, Gnocchi Romana, and I had the Chicken Parmigiano. Every dish was excellent. I sampled a few bites from the other plates and genuinely enjoyed all of them. The real highlight for me, though, was the Beggar's Purse appetizer. It was pasta filled with goat cheese and pear, and it was absolutely divine. I can completely understand why they also offer it as a main course because I could have happily eaten an entire plate of it. For dessert, we shared cheesecake and tiramisu. The cheesecake was more traditional than what you'd typically get at places like The Cheesecake Factory, which caught me a little off guard at first, but it was still excellent. The tiramisu was also delicious, and we all got a good laugh when one of our guests accidentally inhaled a little cocoa powder off the top and started coughing and sneezing at the table. It honestly just added to the fun of the evening. At the end of the night, nothing we ordered disappointed, the service was wonderful, and it turned out to be a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We'll definitely be back.

We had about 25/30 guests. The area was set up upon arrival with water, bread, and dipping oil. The staff was incredible! Jordon was one of our servers and unfortunantly cannot remember the other servers name. The area was cozy, intimate, yet free to roam to the bar and visit in that area. Paulo printed out a specific menu for the occasion making it easy to choose fir our guests. The food was amazing! The drinks were perfect, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Thank you all for the excellent service. Sincerely, Rapaski Family

We have been eating here since they first opened their doors, literally. The food and service have…read morealways been great. However, our takeout experience on November 14, 2025, was horrible. We ordered two Pasta Frescas, one Pasta del Estate with shrimp, and one Chicken Cacciatore. The portion size of the two Pasta Frescas was embarrassingly small (see photos - I apologize for the messy desk). When I opened the containers and saw the portion size, I called the restaurant to inquire. The young lady who answered the phone was incredibly rude, defensive, and disrespectful. She told me that they now have larger to-go containers, so it just appears that the portion sizes are smaller. In addition, she also stated that the portion sizes are pre-measured. I told her that I have been ordering the Pasta Fresca since the restaurant opened, and this is the smallest portion size I have ever received, regardless of the size of the to-go container. I was very nice to her, despite her rudeness. After about two minutes into the call she said to me, "...we're very busy, and I don't have all day to spend on the phone with you." I then asked if I could speak with a manager, and she said, "...that's not necessary..." I then requested to speak with Armando, then she put me on hold, came back on the phone, and said that I could not speak with Armando, and that the owner would be calling me. It is now December 20, 2025, and I have yet to hear from the owner, or any other representative of the restaurant, for that matter. The Pasta Fresca is priced at $15.95. A pound of dry pasta can be purchased for $1.00. These portions contained about 1/4 pound of pasta. In addition, the vegetables in these dishes barely cost $1.50 each. The margins on these portions is obscene. The least they could do is add a little more pasta, which is dirt cheap. I understand and appreciate that restaurants, like every business, exist to make money. However, restaurants only make money when they have customers. When customers are happy, they keep coming back and spending money. That being said, after eating here since the doors opened, we will not be coming back, and this is so incredibly disappointing and sad. I was so hopeful that the restaurant would have made this right with me, but they failed to do so.
