The coffee here isn't good... it's excellent! I've been coming here every Sunday morning. It gets a little busy, but it's worth the wait. The staff is very friendly. Spacious cafe with a warm, homey vibe. Ordered the Pastrami sandwich - fresh and flavorful pastrami with cheese melted perfectly. I ordered the honey lavender latte and my husband had the mocha. One of the best honey lavender latte's I've had; the perfect mixture of all flavors. Staff were very nice and welcoming. During this visit, an older gentleman came out to check on all patrons. I've only been here twice, first time the lady was extremely rude, she seemed bothered that I had even walked in she was sitting at the bar and hollered at 2 young girls to help me . The coffee was good but ambiance left a lot lacking. The second time a Hispanic man helped me , soon as I walked in the door he was able to alter on of their specialty drinks for me. Place was pretty empty... on the way out the two young ladies from my previous encounter walked in , so I'm not sure if it's family owned & operated, but will be back to give them a try again. I stumbled across this coffee shop on accident because I was lost. I went back a few days later with my son. The location is hidden amongst homes and by the freeway. Such a quaint and cute location. You have an outdoor seating area and as you walk in, it reminds me of Olvera st in LA. It's so colorful and vibrant, very cool paintings on the wall, the place is lit with color and classic oldies but goodies. There is so much to choose from as far as drinks go. Some of them are not indicted, that's probably something I'd change. I was a little confused when walking in, didn't know where to order or what was what, so maybe that could be a bit clearer. Great customer service. Seems like a family owned spot, dad and daughter? Not sure. The egg sandwich was good, I probably would have melted the cheese, but overall good. The mango empanada was also soft and tasty. I'd definitely go back. What I didn't enjoy wad sitting outside and there was a smoker a seat behind me and while eating, no one wants to smell nasty cigarette fumes, he should have gotten up and walked away from the outdoor seating area. The place is full of Latin culture. I was digging it though. I hope it improves for the better and thrives. The girls working there take their time to draw on every little bag. To start off, the staff was very friendly since the beginning. One of the owners greeted us immediately as he was walking inside the business (we were sitting outside). He was even nice enough to bring our dog treats. Another employee also greeted us as she was walking inside the business. Our food did take a while to come out, but when I went inside to check on our order the staff was so apologetic. They went above and beyond to fix their mistake. Really was appreciated. Overpriced for southside park, I'll just grab Starbucks for $2.00 less. It's also annoying that they keep blocking the sidewalk with tables.

We were looking for a place that was dog friendly with outdoor seating and happened along Cafe Bueno. What a cute place! We ordered sandwiches: one pastrami and one Mozzarella melt. Both were excellent! The staff was friendly and pointed out where we could find dog treats for our canine companion. A delightful place. Calm and peaceful in the mornings when I go there. The service is good, and the wait-staff are friendly. The coffee tastes good and is nice and hot. I sit outside, and on these summer mornings that is a very pleasant experience in an enjoyable neighborhood. A bonus - yesterday I watched wild turkeys, about 5 of them, walking around across the street while I drank my coffee. If you see them, you'll want to take a picture, but remember, they're wild animals and, I've been told, can be dangerous if your get too close. Turkeys there are rare, but I have seen them in that neighborhood several times before. And, while your are there, be sure to admire the huge, old tree, a walnut I believe, that is a half block away at about 421 T St. It is magnificent. read more

This cafe is absolutely lovely. I love coming here. I live right around the corner to this business and it's my favorite weekly ritual. Their specialty coffees are great (I recommend the horchata or carmelito), the pan dulce is fantastic, the sandwiches are tasty and staff is friendly and nice. Their grand opening was so much fun to attend. I'm new to the Sacramento area, but I come from a heavily populated Latino community and this place made me feel right at home. After trying this cafe over 5 times (on weekday and weekend mornings), I want to be able to give in a good review, but...holy cow. I have never been to a coffee shop with such weirdly inconsistent customer service. There are always 6-8 people working behind the bar, and the vibe is that it's everyone's first day on the job. No one seems to know what they're doing, where they should be, or how they should be acting. You'll have a line of customers 7 people deep and for reasons unknown to me, the person standing at the register taking the order will change with each customer. Ordering takes an incredibly long time, as it seems like no one knows where any buttons are, or how to properly enter orders, and it isn't clear who is in charge, so employees are routinely just asking each other what to do. Blind leading the blind? At my most recent visit, my partner and I ordered 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches. We were asked if we wanted a receipt, and we said no. Our coffees took about 10 minutes to come out, no big deal. It was another 25 minutes until the food was ready (by then, coffees were gone). The person running the food called out the orders with an order number, despite no one at the register GIVING us an order number. The order number, as it turns out, was on the receipt, which they didn't tell us we needed and presented as an option. The runner seemed confused by the fact that they were holding sandwiches in the first place, and confused by the fact that customers had ordered them. Again, it's always everyone's first day on the job here. The fact that there is no clear system for how to get orders to tables is baffling. Give us numbers, or write our names down, or have buzzers - this is not a new problem, and these should not be challenging solutions. How is it that this place can't figure it out? The coffee is fine. The food is fine. The vibes are WEIRD. I just wish I could walk into this (objectively cute) neighborhood coffee shop and feel any sense of confidence from anyone working behind the bar. I wish I could see someone in charge giving directions to the confused teenagers they employ. I wish anyone seemed like they wanted to be there, or that they would acknowledge that there was a line and move with a tiny fraction of a sense of urgency. Most of all, I wish the owner would DO something. Most every time I've come in, I've waited AGES for food or drink, watched the employees fumble around like lost lambs, and the owner is on the patio shmoozing or chatting with someone instead of guiding and training his employees. Good, classic breakfast sandwich and the pastry was FANTASTIC. Service is very friendly and I can't wait to try a panini for lunch soon. Cool art on the walls too.
