Service was good both times. They were packed today so we didn't get our food until later. I've been here a number of times and I really wanted to share how much I love this Chili's…read more Every, single, time I have been to this location, we have been met with fantastic service, little to no wait times (even during a dinner rush), and the most amazing food. People think I'm kidding when I say Chili's is my favorite restaurant, and I think if they came to this location they would see why. This past Saturday, we came during dinner time, and were sat almost immediately. There was an influx of people at the same time and the manager worked fast to get 20+ seated and constantly communicating with everyone. We sat at the bar, and the young woman who served us was extremely attentive and truly so nice, and made the experience even better. Finally, obviously the food. We always get a 3 for Me and a Triple Dipper, and it was so tasty I almost had to order more to go. The food was so fast even though like I said, the restaurant was packed! The restaurant was pretty empty except for the bar area, Our server was good with drinks and appetizers. It was just my wife and I at that point. The rest of our party joined us about 15 minutes later. The server was right on it and got drinks and appetizers. Total of 10 in our party. He took our orders and read them back. That's when things got bad. While waiting for our food our salads came out. Having waited more than a 1/2 hour my wife got up to talk to the manager who assured her our food would be out shortly. In the meantime our server was busy sharing phone whatever's with the receptionist. When our food came out it was obvious it was under a heat lamp for some time. All who ordered steaks ordered them rare. My wife's steak came out medium at best. A different server was flagged down and took her steak back to the kitchen. As we were waiting for her steak everyone else was eating so their food wouldn't get cold. About 20 minutes later the steak came out perfect. The only problem was that everybody else was finished. We asked for togo boxes and the bill. The bill was totally wrong. Extra steaks were added and several other mistakes were rectified ,10 minutes later we finally left. 1 hour and 55 minutes for dinner at a casual restaurant is unacceptable. I arrived at the exact time my order was supposed to be ready. Since I never received the text that normally allows you to notify the restaurant that you've arrived, I called instead. I gave them my name, told them which curbside spot I was parked in, and was told my order would be brought out soon. I then sat outside for another 20 minutes in the rain, and no one ever brought my food out. Eventually, I gave up and went inside. I explained that I had called 20 minutes earlier and had been waiting outside. The employee immediately walked over to the bar, picked up my bag, and handed it to me. Clearly, my food had just been sitting there the entire time. There was no apology, no explanation, no attempt to make the situation right, nothing. It was basically just, "Here's your food." When I got home, it was even more frustrating. My Cajun chicken pasta was cold and looked extremely skimpy, with barely any chicken or sauce stuffed in this small container. On top of that, the bag containing the biscuits was visibly ripped open, which is completely unacceptable for a food order. What makes this worse is that I chose not to leave a negative review the last time this happened because I understand that restaurants get busy and things happen. But now I've had essentially the same experience twice, sitting outside for 20-30 minutes waiting for an order that was apparently already sitting inside, with no communication and absolutely no concern from the staff. At this point, it's not just about having to wait. It's the complete lack of customer service or accountability. If curbside pickup is being offered, customers shouldn't have to eventually come inside and track down food that has been sitting there getting cold. And when something clearly goes wrong, even a simple apology would go a long way.
