Oh my.... I've never been to BWW before, so a group of us went on the $.60 wing night, which as you can imagine was packed! I guess people go here for the atmosphere, and not the food. Our waiter came promptly, took our order and got it right... The wings came out in shifts - so not everyone had their food at the same time (I don't fault the waiter for this) so it was weird eating when others werent. The wings were OK, but the variety of sauces went from "lightly sprinkled on" to "took a swim in a sauce pool" and there was no consistancy. One person at our table who didnt like wings got a burger and they said it was one of the most disgusting burgers he ever had. Especially with a piece of that terrible fake cheese they serve in schools. (We LOVED the fries, however... that was a pretty unanimous decision) Now... lets talk about the environment. 1.5 stars - and those are for the food ALONE. From my experience last night and the other reviews here, I think the staff at this location need to be completely re-trained. The amount of time it takes to get a beer - or anything - at this location is both ridiculous and embarrassing. The food itself isn't half bad, but I would stick to the wings. I got 5 Jammin Jalepeno and 5 Honey BBQ. The Honey BBQ ones were way too sticky, but I liked the kick I got from the jalepeno sauce. The wings were decently sized so no complaints there. Our table also got the veggie platter appetizer - supposed to come with cucumbers, red peppers, celery, carrots, pita bread, and hummus - but we didn't have any cucumbers and the hummus was a measly portion the size of a small condiments container. Beer took almost 15 minutes to arrive at our table - almost an entire quarter of NBA Finals Game 4 had elapsed. I saw our waitress wandering around but not seeming to pay attention to any of the tables in her section, including ours. At a place where there are servers everywhere, it's hard to understand why getting served in a timely manner is so difficult. Greeters at the door are unprofessional and goofing around with each other instead of doing their job. From the minute you walk in, you're doomed to poor customer service. My advice? HAPPY HOUR! Lately, BWW has been my spot for Happy Hour. Happy Hour is M-F from 4-7 pm. You can enjoy $4 margaritas! ... regular, strawberry, or mango... and frozen or on the rocks! My favorite is the strawbery margarita on the rocks with sugar rim! Sooo good. For Happy Hour there are also draft beer specials. I used to get a tall Angry Orchard (hard cider) on draft, but each time, I was disappointed that the drink was not cold enough to my liking. There are also $4 appetizer specials such as fried pickles and mozarrella sticks. I really enjoy the Ultimate Nachos (regular priced). Since I an dairy-free, I get the sour cream and cheese sauce on the side, so my friends can actually dip the chips. Each time I order nachos, the waiter/waitress were happy to accommodate me wth cheese on the side, or extra salsa, or extra jalepenos. On Tuesdays, wings are 60-cents, all day! Happy Hour on TUESDAY is especially worthy! Lots of different sauces and seasonings to choose from. Also you can request all flats or all drums and they are always happy to accommodate. read more

I've never written a yelp review. That's how bad the service is at this BWW. My family and I do take out due to our medically complex infant. Initially they were accurate, not that we have complex requests..just extra crispy. As time went on their ability to deliver a quality service and product deteriorated. Twice they've messed up the order and one of those I asked the server to repeat back my order and still messed up. He also apparently is not familiar with what a "dozen" is or that 12 plus 12 equals 24(please pay attention in math class kids..only subject that is applied daily and not up for debate). Tonight for a 3rd time they served me dry wings with no parmeson garlic sauce. I could have made dry wings. But this pattern seems to be the same at every BWW I've visited. They're great for 3-6 months then turn to a notch above McDonalds. read more

Well over 10 mins to place an order for 20 wings, kids meal and wedges. The person on the other end of the call did not understand the menu and had to have the order repeated a number of times until it was taken correctly. Update February 8 2018: I wish I could say things have gotten better...placed and order online and said it would be ready by 7:00. Showed up just after 7:00 and now it's 7:20 and I just got my order. Came here on a Thursday with some friends during lunch for their Half-Off Boneless Wings and I gotta say that this location is lacking a serious dose of customer service. The food that I ordered was okay. I'll start off with the bad before I move onto the, okay, side of things. The customer service here is awkward at best. Our server seemed like he's very inexperienced. When he came with our waters, he put them all in the corner of the table, not in front of each of us and he handed out straws to 2/4 people on our table and just tossed the other 2 down. Then he left. He took our order then came back and didn't know who ordered what. Then literally, a few seconds later, he asks us how our food is when we didn't even get to dive in yet. One of my friend's dishes was also late, but that could be either the kitchen or runner or server's fault. After the meal, it took what seemed like forever for the server to come back with the check, knowing that it was lunch hour rush. My boneless wings were okay. Kind of difficult to mess those up. One of my honey bbq baskets were under sauced, so I had to ask for more. The chicken wasn't dry, even though it was boneless white meat. The price can't be beat at $0.60 per piece, though it would be sweet if it were that price for the entire basket. All and all, the chicken here is good. The atmosphere here is cool. This place has the worst customer service and wings ever! Cold fries, too! I ordered carry out and it's been a nightmare! I picked up my order at 6:33 pm, sat down to eat at home by 6:43 pm, and it tasted like they took two hours ago cooked wings and dipped them in warm sauce because the chicken was cool inside, and hard/tough. The fries tasted like rocks. I called back at 8:50 pm about my order and told Tiffany I didn't eat it and why. She said they could only remake it or give me a store credit. I responded that I'd already found something else to eat (don't need a remake) and don't eat often there (don't need a store credit), so I'd rather have my cash back. I was honest enough to even tell her from the beginning that I only wanted the money back for my order (at that time-now I want all my money back $59) and that I didn't have to have the money back for my son's order since he'd eaten most of his anyway. (A smart, honest company would've given both). I even told her I'd bring my food back right then since they didn't close until 11pm. Then her story changed to she didn't have access to get the cash, only Megan did. When I said I could pick it up the next day from Megan (who she said was gone by then), she got smart with me and asked why did I wait two hours to call back. Then she said Megan wouldn't be able to give me my money back either. Wow! Poor customer service! Poor business practice! Would you like it if you paid almost $60 for carry out food, called back within a few hours and volunteered to bring the food back that you couldn't eat because of the poor quality, and they tell you you can't have your money back? It's dishonest! How do you keep a customers money, after they've told you within a reasonable amount of time that they're going to bring the food back right away because of the poor food quality..... food they can't even eat. BWW cheats it's customers. That's ripping off customers! On principle, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I received an email from someone a few days later just saying they were going to contact me but nobody ever did. So I had to contact the corporate office and speak to someone and then they transferred me to customer service who must've contacted somebody at the store. They called back today. I spoke with Courtney, a manager at this restaurant, and she was no help whatsoever. She said the same thing. They refused to give me my money back but maybe the owner, Mark, can. Well, she knew what I wanted so why did she waste my time if she couldn't do it. I will be drafting a letter tonight and mailing it tomorrow via Next Day to the CEO and Presidents, Paul Brown and Lyle Smith, at the Corporate Office Headquarters in Minnesota about the sorry quality of food, poor customer service, and this questionable business practice!! This is why I don't eat here often - the food and service is mediocre- but I'll NEVER go to this place again if this is how Buffalo Wild Wings treat their customers! read more

I'm definitely a fan. Being a city girl and coming home to the suburbs, I was skeptical to enjoy a place to watch sports. My friend who lives in NYC checked in and mentioned how much fun she had, so I wasn't expecting too much since we were in Gaithersburg. We made our way there, walked into the bar area and I was amazed at how many TVs there were, even in the dining are! How great! Plenty of TVs, the vibe is exciting (shame on me for going to a Cowboys game.... there is an uncanny number of Cowboys fans in MD). I thoroughly enjoyed my nachos. They were delicious. It was my favorite part of the meal. In the sampler, you get mozzarella sticks, wings, nachos, onion rings all for $12.99. Ridiculous. Miss living in the burbs. I had fun here! read more

Let me start with a confession. I am not a sports fan. And this place is all about the sports events of the day being shown on televisions all over the place. I go to BWW for the wings and their trivia game. The wings are among the few truly hot and spicy foods that I've been able to find anywhere. I always have the blazin' wings, which are the hottest they serve. But somehow the wings here are different from those elsewhere. I think this restaurant drowns them in more sauce than most other BWW locations. The result is not good. The wings are completely overwhelmed and eating them--a messy process at any location--is made even messier than normal. The trivia is very fun. I wish that more BWW locations had a regular trivia night. But maybe not this one. Since they opened, the wifi has been absolutely terrible. As a result, it is impossible to play from many tables in the restaurant. I have pretty much stopped going here. Other BWW locations are fine and I can still be found in Rockville or Urbana. I tried this location again recently and nothing seemed to have changed. That's a shame because this place is only 5 minutes from home for me. They need to fix some things. The service has been fine. Worst restaurant ever! We arrived at the place at 8:00pm and it is already 9:20pm and we still haven't been served. We waited for 1 hour and 45 mins before they served iust the fries with cheese. The waiter didn't even update us on what the delay was. When I asked how much longer it will take, the manager said the kitchen is having issues with the wings because we ordered 40 pieces of wings and the restaurant's specialty, WINGS! wth! So we got up and just decided to leave and the manager even asked us to pay for the tenders and fries that were served for the kids. Smh! Never going back to this horrible place! read more

I understand it's tough times with Covid. So this won't be a super long review although it could be as I have ordered three different times from this specific restaurant and they have not ever been timely to deliver nor had the order correct. They are the worst location out of the several I have been to and suck because it's the closest one to me. If I ever get the urge again for BWW I will drive to college park MD or another location that can at least prepare and execute an order correctly. This Buffalo Wild Wings hurts my soul. My experience with BWW in general is usually pretty good. Great beer, junk food, lots of sports... but this one is the pits. The service is clueless and slow and the food is way greasier than the norm for a wings joint. We visited the Gaithersburg BWW this evening to eat and watch the World Cup. When we walked in, the greeter was fiddling with his cell phone and trying to unplug his charger from the wall. We were an afterthought. As we were walking back to the table, he almost smacked me twice while he was swinging said cell phone charger like he was trying to lasso something. We sat down and then waited over 25 minutes for someone - anyone - to come over to us. Finally, a waiter and waitress showed up at a our table and then gave each other the stink eye over who was going to wait on us. We ordered a beer and a pepsi and then waited another 15 minutes (at least) for the beer to come. 5 minutes later the Pepsi showed up. We ordered. We waited over an hour for our food. An hour for chicken wings, a philly cheese steak and some fried pickles. Our waitress (who was very sweet, but super untrained) came back to apologize and told us that the kitchen had dropped our food all over the floor and they were re-making it. What? Seriously? Who does that and then tells? I would have rather heard "The kitchen is backed up right now." When she asked if my boyfriend wanted another beer, he said, "I'll take whatever Heavy Seas you have on draft." She looked at him like he had 3 heads then started rambling off other beers and prices. He then ordered a Natty Boh. She had no idea what a Natty Boh was. At all. So he just ordered another Yuengling (which took another 10 minutes to come out) that came out with a suspicious looking orange slice put on the side of the glass. Maybe she thought it would make us happier? No idea... When we were getting ready to leave, she asked if we wanted a box for the fried pickles. When we said no, she actually chastised us for not wanting to take them home. If they would have come out when an appetizer is SUPPOSED to come out... we might have eaten more. We're never going back. This restaurant is in a prime location and has the ability to be a cash cow and an awesome neighborhood hang out. Stopped in here Saturday mid-afternoon. The place was nearly empty. A sign, perhaps? In any case, I sat down in the bar area. I ordered wings (with side of celery) and fries. The wings came out almost immediately...as in 2 minutes after I placed the order. They were warm but not hot. They were clearly pre-cooked and being held under warming lights or whatever else they have in the kitchen to keep food warm. Ten minutes later the fries arrived. I later waved down the waiter and asked about the missing celery. That showed up a few minutes later. I finished my drink half way through my meal. The waiter was nowhere to be seen and hadn't checked in for 10-15 minutes. I flagged him down and asked for another drink. Food quality was OK overall. Fries were quite good. But the aforementioned wings were just OK as they were clearly not cooked based on my order. And my order appeared in stages over a 15 minute time frame. The service was quite lacking. I should not have to flag down a waiter for things I ordered that were never delivered or for a refill on a drink. I don't see myself returning to this BWW. read more

I was searching for a particular barbecue sauce, so I have called a few BBW in the area. I had mixed experience with this store. Good experience - the young man answering my call was very helpful. Even though they didn't have the sauce I wanted, he told me about the "Create a crate" deal where 3 bottles of sauce would cost less than $15, with tax included. He told me the date they might get more sauces in. And he reminded me to call them first before heading over. Not so good experience - I was very happy that they finally had the sauce I wanted. The young lady who helped me ringed up my purchase. It was more than $15. When I asked about the deal, she said "no, they don't have a deal on the sauces". I told her that I was told that they have the deal. She then said she will go check. Please train your staff so they can better help the customers! read more

We've ordered take-out twice now from this location. Both times they have messed up our order royally and I've had to wait for them to fix it. The first time I waited more than half an hour, last night about 20 minutes. One mistake like this is understandable but two in a row is becoming a habit. Its a shame because its so convenient to our house, I want to love this place! This is our favorite BWW in the area. The staff here is always up beat, polite, and kind. Damien especially gave us excellent customer service. I actually just found out they give salt and vinegar fries through him! He also mentioned to us BWW rewards program and sure enough we signed up considering we often come here. read more

The specials which are not publicized on their website are Tuesdays (traditional) and Thursdays (boneless). Just went last night (Tuesday) for their traditional wings. Got the small which is ten pieces and you can mix it up. I started with the sweet flavors - 5 honey bbq and 5 sweet bbq. An order of small with the Tuesday special is only $6. Six dollars people!!! It got three stars because the wings were great. I dropped a star because service was slow. Took quite some time before our first batch of wings came out and our waitress did not check in us before we wanted to put in our next order. It dropped another star because when we got our bill, we were charged for multiple celery and ranch dressing when we had specifically asked the waitress at the very beginning whether the celery was included. When we brought that to her attention, she said, "I told you when you asked that I wasn't sure." Yes, she did ask but continued to ask us if we wanted celery or carrots. Shouldn't she have checked before bringing us all the celery and ranch dressing (which she didn't tell us was also not included in the special)? It wasn't until I said, but I did ask you about it, did you budge and said I could take it off. I said that would be great. This could be "the place"... big bar, lots of tv, wings, beer, ample seating for family... but it's such a relic to a place that hires apathetic employees who are more interested in talking to each other and watching tv's as opposed to getting their server game on. We were a table of 8, two families, and had a big order. Kids had 3 sprites (or whatever the Pepsi version is) and a ginger ale. What seemed like a long time, server comes down and puts down 5 sprites and an ordered club soda minus the requested lemon and a few waters, leaving us to figure out which are which....No straws. Appetizers come and a few of those paper basket plate things... no napkins, silverware. Not sure why they changed wing sizes from a specific number to small, medium and large. How many is in each? How often is that asked? Is this so they can serve by weight? For a wing joint, the wings aren't that good. read more

Service at BWW isn't usually great no matter which one I go to, but this one was the worst. We were seated immediately and had our drink orders taken by the host. Then we waited for about 30 minutes before we realized nobody had come over to help us. We got the attention of one of the servers, apparently from a different section, and she wasn't sure who our server was but said she would be back to help us. We noticed a server that seemed to be for our section, but we got no kind of acknowledgement, and no attempt was being made at finding help. Not going to sugar coat this... just not a good place to eat. My wife and I had a gift certificate that my work gave me so we decided to use it up. I ordered the bacon burger with cheese curds. The cheese curds were just dropped around and on top but I had to basically build the burger to put them back in. I just ate them on the side and they were good. The bacon on the burger had a funny taste and the burger itself was just lackluster. For $11 I should have gone to BGR and got a real burger. My wife asked decided she was going to get wings. The waitress, who appeared to be as dumb as a box of rocks had an impossible time explaining the wings. First, my wife asked how many wings came with each of the choices, so she knew what size to get. The waitress told her it was a special for Thursday so it didn't matter, as you just paid by the wing. My wife told her that meant nothing as she wanted to know what each was to determine what she wanted. There was an awkward pause of about 10 seconds while the waitress tried to explain. Finally my wife said which one she wanted and the waitress asked her what side sauce she wanted, ranch or blue cheese. My wanted both and the waitress explained that since it was a night that the wings were on special, she would have to pay .60 for each. We were fine with that but to me I cannot stand when places upcharge small items. When the wings came out, they were boneless, which my wife doesn't like. We asked why they were boneless and the food runner asked "did you ask for boneless". My wife replied that she wasn't given the choice.
