We went there a few weeks after it opened and thought it was a keeper for us. Everything was fresh and lots to pick from . Loved the sushi, crab legs and peel and eat shrimp. The shrimp sauce was the real thing not that ketchup stuff most places give you. The service was great. I know we will be back. It's the best buffet we have had here so far. read more

This place is by far the worst buffet I have ever been to! I will never ever return. The chicken tasted rubbery and fake even their ice cream was nasty. The egg rolls are the by far the worse! Jack in the Box has better egg rolls. My sister came on a different occasion and she threw up at the restaurant bc of the nasty food. The food isn't fresh at all! I went later in the evening so it seemed to me the food they had out had been sitting there all day. Im getting sick from my stomach even writing this review. read more

Went here on a Sunday, paid about $12, and left stuffed. The variety of food was great and the staff keeps everything very fresh. Was super surprised to see such a large sushi and hibachi bar located in the same spot, and included in the buffet. My daughter invited me to meet her and the grand children at this restaurant which is generally not my pick for places to eat. The place was really busy and can seat lots of folks with large families and friends which are s a huge plus. So family style eating with large oblong tables. The buffet stations serve many varieties of food but focus is Asian with no spicy flavor so for me the food was bland. The lady service staff make sure you have water or sodas are very helpful and keep the finished buffet plates off the table. Please leave a tip for them as they are very busy tidy your table even a couple dollars to show them it's appreciated. They do have a Mongolian station where you can have them prepare a fresh off the grill dish. That is a plus. They have a sauce station as well though very bland. Also Sushi is available too. Also if you do not come for Asian cuisine they have a station that serves pizza, fried chicken, fries, hamburgers and more. The prices are very reasonable and fair. Food was good. Its a good mix of food, I have been to buffets that have a wider selection, however, the food seemed fresh and the restaraunt looked clean. I especially liked the mongolian section where you pick the protein, veggies and sauce and they prepare it for you. I sampled some dessert from my daughter's plate and I did not like the cheesecake too much. Our meal for 2 adults and I child, 2 teas, 1 soda, on a weekend came out to $29.00. Awesome price!! Love this place! A million times better than any of the other Asian restaurants I've been to on the south side. Food is delicious, Mongolian grill is fresh and tasty, and their sushi/sashimi is made fresh in front of you. Also, the restaurant itself is kept very clean, and the service staff is very friendly. It's a busy Saturday so the food is constantly being switched out. There were no complaints about anything so this is a win win for me. The sushi is filled and fresh. I loved the salt &a pepper shrimp. I have seen Mongolian grills at other buffets but they are never manned. This one had two workers there. So you don't have to wait around for service. So organized! Terrible service. Terrible food. I was asked to sit in an aisle where tables had been placed -- yes, in the middle of an aisle. I asked to be seated elsewhere, at a table next to a wall. Nope, can't do that, four chairs at that table, they might get busy. So I was seated elsewhere at another table -- with four chairs. And 30 minutes later they were not busy -- only three tables occupied in the entire area. This is crap. As for the food. Cukes inedibly sour. Chicken tough and stringy. I wish I lived closer! Buffet City is a true GEM. Everything on the buffet tasted fresh and the flavors were spot on. Even the enchiladas were tasty (I have never had a good enchilada at a Chinese buffet). Aside from the excellent selection the staff is very friendly. So hubby and I were looking for something to eat. We were on this side of town and I looked on here for nearby restaurants. This one was the first to pop up. We road down a lil further, then came back. Walked in and I was already impressed! The foire was beautiful all by itself. Selection was awesome. Went here for the first time last week. My boyfriend recommended we go because it just recently opened up across the street from his work. We were very pleased with the nice clean atmosphere, pretty light fixtures and friendly staff. Food selection is amazing. A nice mix of sushi, Chinese, Mongolian BBQ and they even have american selection like chicken wings, fish, fried shrimp and chicken nuggets which were great for my 5 year old daughter. Outstanding! Had an opportunity to finally try out Buffet City. Loved the environment. People were obviously enjoying their food... lots of eating little talking! The service is superb, everyone was exceptionally polite and speedy. I was very impressed by their selection. Wide variety ranging from: BBQ, to seafood and the traditional chicken and beef mixes. I was most notably impressed that they make fresh sushi there. There was a plethora of sushi to choose from, hence my palate never became bored. You can even choose from a selection of uncooked meats, veggies etc.. and they will cook if fresh for you on the grill. The floors were kept very clean and the air was fresh. I'm giving this place 3 stars due to the front desk customer service. We're regulars and have noticed some issues over the course of our visits but never said anything to the staff. This particular visit the AC was down on one side of the resturant and instead of seating everyone on the side with the working AC they continued to sit folks on the hot side. When we expressed our discomfort they offered no relief so we paid and left. The front desk didn't offer to relocate our seating but instead offered ice water. We won't go back ever. Crab legs or not- I'll find another dirty buffet for my husband to gorge himself at. read more

ROACHES IN FOOD!!! On Friday, March 8, 2019 my friend and I went to have lunch around 11:30. We went in the restaurant and immediately sat down. First off whatever they put on their floors made it EXTREMELY slippery. I was sliding around through the entire food bar. The second I stepped off the carpet area I almost fell. I had to walk around extremely slow. We sat down and ate our first plate fine no problems. We went up for seconds and I had got fresh rice noodles among a few other things. I go back to my table sit down and grab the soy sauce to pour on top and there was a nice size roach CRAWLING on my noodles!! I immediately got up and called for my waiter because at that point it crawled off my plate and onto the table. The apologized and picked it up with a napkin and took it to the front cashier to show her. They apologized and we walked out. Never again will I return and I suggest no one else go to this establishment again. read more
