I ordered double bbq chicken and ribs, potato salad, Mac n cheese and baked beans. They were out of brisket and hush puppies. Everything was good/great with the exception of the chicken. Also such a cute vibe when you walk in, very clean everywhere in this little restaurant. The food came out in 15 minutes and presentation exceeded our expectations. The food was terrific, and the service was exceptional. I came to visit this location on Friday, and I am back on Sunday. I initially purchased the 3-way ribs, brisket, and links. We ordered the catfish and links and my sister in law had catfish sandwich on a roll. Our meal came potato salad, bbq beans and string beans. Everything was delicious! We could taste the flavors of each item from the fish to the bake beans. Gotta give this place 5 stars. First time trying this restaurant and it was so good. Right across the street in Antioch, from the El Campinil Theater. We both came hungry for lunch, and the food was delicious. I had the ribs, green beans, and potato salad. Good home cooked food. He had the brisket sandwich with coleslaw and green beans. Nice portions and the homemade sauce were so good. I was disappointed in the serving size of the fish dinner. I have purchased this meal 7 different times, and the portions were whole pieces of fish today they cut one piece long ways and put 3 pieces like this in my order, so one and 1/2 pieces. The other restaurants that were in business in Antioch did the same thing cut down on portions until no customer. The food is good and the staff very nice. I went to Buford's BBQ for my first time on Saturday and it was amazing and my expectations were finally met. The staff was very nice and welcoming and I couldn't ask for a better experience. Once I got home and we ate our 3 ways which I ordered the ribs, chicken, and brisket it was hard to share with my kids it was so good. The green beans, mac n cheese, and the baked beans was so fresh and tasted amazing. The next day I returned to get another plate this time I ordered there hot links and again was impressed. The sauce was so good tangy, sweet with a bite of spice. These people need to learn what seasoning is. I bought ribs and fried catfish. Neither of them had a grain of salt or any other spice on them. The ribs were meaty, but not as tender as i like, and as with the fish, the meat was not seasoned prior to cooking and only had a "glaze" of sauce over them. I suspect they are cooked on a grill and therefore lack true bbq flavor and there is no "bark" on them. The fish was cooked perfectly, but lacked seasoning. We decided to take my mom here for her 94th birthday to eat some barbecue. We made reservations and they had a table ready for us. The food here was terrific. I had the hot links, green beans, baked beans and a salad. The lemonade was terrific and the chocolate ice cream was wonderful. We were able to watch the Olympics on the tv while we waited for our order. There is also a public parking lot next door for easy access. The folks that run this place are special. The ambiance is relaxed and you feel like you are around family. They tended to my mom in a very loving manner and we are grateful for their level of service. It was a really special thing when folks at other tables chimed in to wish my mom a happy birthday. And for the record, my mom ate all her ribs and had a huge barbecue sauce smile on her face.
