What a wonderful surprise! Our second visit to the area, riding around looking for a lunch spot. From the minute we walked in the hostess was welcoming and the atmosphere was perfect. Large, comfortable booth, excellent service ( thank you Jeannie) and fantastic food and cold beer! We shared the Wedge Salad, best we ever had, and the spicy shrimp, yummy. Pricey but good While on vacation we had the chance to eat here for lunch. My hubby got a cheeseburger and I had a bbq chicken sandwich. They were very good. It was your typical restaurant food and fries. A leap up front fast food joints but not Steakhouse quality sandwiches. The staff was super sweet and very attentive. We went at an odd time so I think we missed the rush. The bread or they called them rolls was surprisingly delicious. It was warm and had course salt on the top. The cons: it was pricey for the quality of food. Being in the heart of pigeon forge I attribute that to be the reason. The music selection was very bad too. I wished they would have turned it down or to something else. This place seems more of a sports bar kind of place. There were no televisions in the dining area and it was rather dark but that's what the food felt like. Not sure I'd eat there again. read more

Service is great staff is prompt and friendly. The tuna wonton appetizer was pretty good not much to it for the price but the flavor was okay. My wedge side salad was delicious my. My fish and chips was mediocre at best the breading had pistachio in it so it did have a little crunch but I was hoping for beer batter my bad guess I should have read the description. But the Coca Cola was perfect the syrup to carbonation was better than a McDonalds coke. Overall decent just not much to say. Probably would try somewhere else in the area. read more

We decided to stop here for dinner as we were driving by (on vacation). Food was ok, nothing special. I had blackened salmon (subbed for Tilapia on New Orleans dish) and the sauce that was supposed to have seafood maybe had chopped pieces. Baked potato and broccoli were the sides. Our family of 7 had a great time at Bullfish. I kinda wanted to keep this place a secret since so many other restaurants have long waits around here, but I want to give 2 big thumbs up to the staff. Food was great, portions are HUGE, but the staff made our experience incredible. Our waitress (wish I remembered her name!) was amazing and helped us keep our kiddos happy and occupied. She was also working so incredibly hard the whole time we were there and the managers giving everyone a helping hand too. I highly recommend that you come here if you are in the area. read more

I was not expecting much from this restaurant based on some of the reviews I saw. But we were looking for a not so busy non chain option on our family trip to Pigeon forge. Seated quickly. We all enjoyed our meals. Portions were huge. Fried green tomatoes were excellent (one of my favorite things to order if they are on the menu. My husband and I shared a pasta dish and a wedge salad and still couldn't finish the meal. I could tell- like everywhere else in this post Covid world our server was busy but he did a great job and was quite personable. The food and service wasn't to friendly. No follow-up to see if everything is ok at our table. It wasn't even many people there when we got there. Our table service was kinda poor. Food was good. Hostesses we're not very friendly. Like they were put out to be there. When I left I asked them to smile more. My rice and broccoli was hot and good. My grilled chicken was cold. Our waitress, Candy was amazing. She came by to check on us because she could see we'd been sitting awhile. The hostess put us at a table where there wasn't a waiter/waitress assigned. People just standing around and didn't bother to stop by. Candy was attentive. Took the chicken back. Brought back fresh, hot grilled, yummy chicken. I forgot to mention...My husband ordered the PISTACHIO ENCRUSTED TROUT, he loved it along with broccoli. Broccoli is awesome. Oh and the bread! It's to die for. You do not need an appetizer. 3 1/2 stars. Besides Southern fare we have found many generic bar/restaurants in the area. Bull Fish Grill is one of the nicer ones. The place has a warm atmosphere, with a mixture of booths and tables. I wish I remembered our server's name because he was exceptional. He just had the patience of a saint for tired Mom who could not decide on what she wanted after a day st Dollywood. He was very attentive, kelt our glasses full, and had a great attitude. Our food was generally good. I could not resist some of the warm fresh baked bread. It went well with a cup of the soup of the day....tomato. I am not always a tomato soup fan but this soup was excellent....thick, with just the slightest hint of sweetness. For my main I ordered the Strawberry Salad: Greens, fresh strawberries, blue cheese crumbles, caramelized pecans, grilled chicken, with a balsamic reduction. It was a flavorful salad and I enjoyed all of the components except for the chicken. I found the chicken to be a bit dry and there was something off about the flavor for me. Other items ordered at our table were the Pot Roast which was tender and flavorful and the Chicken Pasta which my son did not like at all. Solid choice for the area. STEER CLEAR!! The service at this place is a JOKE. They don't take reservations... fine. I got there early, They don't seat the party unless everyone is there (and they're rude about it) even when only TWO TABLES in the entire place have someone seated. SO -- I waited at the bar where I was told to wait.... But wait, the same rude guy from the front came over and told me, "well you can't sit HERE in the bar you have to sit at the ACTUAL bar. So -- I move to the bar. The bartender asked how things were going and I said, "well so far, there aren't very many nice people here -- I'm following directions and still having rude people snap at me." I ordered a lemon drop -- and she made one -- very tasty but the glass was LITERALLY HALF FULL for a $12 drink it was the final straw. I asked "where's the rest of the drink?" And she said that's it -- that's the entire drink. She should have served it in a shot glass. I put a big fat zero on the TIP line (I have NEVER done that in my 63 years of eating out) and said, "I paid $12 for a half a drink, use the $6 that I overpaid for the drink... for your tip" My party arrived and the waitress we had for dinner was fun and personable, the food was adequate, the wine I ordered was the right amount in the glass but MAN was it hard to stay long enough to find out and I'll never go back again.... AND all of the people who always ask me where to eat -- are going to hear about the poor service and bad attitudes. No wonder nobody was in the place!!! read more

We made reservations and they got us straight in. The food was wonderful and so was our waitress. We will definitely be back.

I was excited to take my parents somewhere that didn't have an hour long wait. I assumed my food would be mediocre since the place wasn't packed-Wrong!!! The trout was amazing and my parents were so happy with the ribs. I had two amazing punch drinks and the room was quiet enough to enjoy conversation. We received our food fairly quickly, I got the salmon which was a little over cooked but I'd rather have that than undercooked fish so I'm not really complaining. Everything we ate here was delicious. The Prime Rib was so tender and flavorful. I also appreciated the warm bread and my salad was great. Even my rice pilaf which is often a throw away item was so good that I ate every grain of rice. The filet (which I didn't try) was enjoyed very much by the person who ordered it. The sweet potato pecan side was outstanding. The strawberry cake was well regarded by the person who ordered it. Our server was adequate but not very friendly. We are there last week. Our server was very nice and attentive. . Good service. The pecan crusted trout is delicious as well as there spicy shrimp appetizer. The mushroom rice pilaf was flavorless. My husband had the white cheddar cheese mash potatoes for his side, He said they did not have any cheese taste to them and there $8 glass of Cabernet was tiny. Overall a good place to eat. Burger was dry and very over cooked (asked for medium, came out well-done). BLUE CRAB BEARNAISE was great; but a very small portion for $3. Fries were great. Salad was fantastic, though salmon was over cooked (asked for medium rare and came medium). The vinaigrette was PHENOMENAL. Gumbo was some of the best outside of Louisiana (coming from someone who has lived in Louisiana). Asked for bread and didn't receive. Service was very slow, the kitchen was quick (waited less than 10 minutes). Waited for nearly 10 minutes after we finished eating for our waitress to return with our checks (and then she misplaced our credit card. BIG no-no) FOOD: 3.5, the gumbo and the vinaigrette on the salad made this a solid 5, but the incredibly over cooked burger took it down to a 4, and the over cooked salmon to a 3.5. SERVICE: 3, the kitchen was remarkably fast. I don't think I've ever sat down and had my food so quick. We were in and out in about an hour (5) The waitress however was slow, really slow, and misplaced our credit card upon payment (1) OVERALL: 3.25, and while I typically round up, I couldn't justify a 4 considering all the events. read more
