I was looking to purchase 4 new tires for my car, and after going to the actual dealership ($550+ quote), Discount Tire Centers ($450+ quote), and Costco (who were unable to quote me for some reason...), I called up Burbank Tire Pros, where I received the lowest quote and even though the grand total came to a little more than initially stated, my original quote price was honored. I was in and out of there in less than 40 minutes, with a warranty and free road-side service included. These guys are super personable too... during the wait, we all started chatting about soccer (Liverpool!) and other miscellaneous topics. Tire Pros?! My a**... If you don't know the difference between a Porsche 911 and a Boxster, you should not be working on cars. Ever! I came in for an alignment and balancing of the tires. No big deal... An hour later and with $83 less in my pocket I drive off. However, the steering wheel is straight and the car is pulling left. So I turn around and they make the adjustments. 10 minutes later, the car is done. Same symptoms. U turn. Now the car goes back on the lift and they start from scratch, without telling me what's going on. I ask the manager, and he tells me "nothing, everything is fine, just adjustments." I decided to ask the younger technician while the other one is test driving my car, and he tells me they aligned the car according to a different model specifications. Really?! I'm in here for two hours, no apologies at this point. I drive off and now the car pulls to the right. U turn, back on the lift... At this point I'm hoping to get out of here soon with a car that drives safely. As I'm complaining to the manager (Ohan) about the poor service, terrible communication, them wasting my time, and still NO APOLOGY, he tells me his MAIN guy (Richard) doesn't come in on Mondays and he didn't want this technician touching my car anymore. WHAAAAT?! Can I come back another day? NO! I'm sure they can change a tire properly or patch it, but I'm never taking my Porsche to the local "Tire Pro" anymore. Back to the dealership it is. You get what you pay for. P.S. Always a nice touch when a technician keeps his greasy gloves on and test drives the car. read more

Got a screw in my tire. They told me 16.00 Manager said $20.00 He was Not happy with HIS new employee I Didn't like that. He said ok for $16.00. They told me another screw was in same tire That I should get it fixed. I said yes if in same tire. They didn't give me an updated price. I expected to pay $16.00 They told me 30.00 due to other nail. I paid because that tire guy was new and I didn't want to have him lose his job. BAR requires shop to get authorization verbally and they must update price with customer. Sadly I won't go back because of this. Simple rule and one day they will get someone that will be viscous with them. My tires are about 2 mm from wear bar I was thinking about getting a set from them But because of this minor situation I will go back to western tires! read more

Trustworthy - yes, honest - absolutely I've been coming down to this location for the past 10+ years, and there has been quite of few management changes with new managers over the years Floor manager Edwin was always professional and provides great rates, however I wish him would be a little more flexible, when it comes down to a quick flat repair or tire mounts. I've been going there for almost ten years. I had a time when my transmission repair didn't seem right, and I took it back and it was made right free of charge. It was not Richard's fault--he hired a transmission shop to fix that part--and they took my car back and made it right. I feel I was charged a very fair amount for the work done (I needed work done on my breaks - pads, shoes, and fluid change) and he even spotted a nail in one of my tires that he fixed free of charge. Shout out to tire pros! My wife texted me and said her tire was almost flat. I thought it just needed air and said I'd look at it when I got home. As she had to get our child, she thought it should be attended to immediately so she pulled into tire pros up the street from us. The guys told her that it could be a patch or something more serious but they would first look at it and let her know. She was out of there in less than an hour, there had been a nail in the tire, they fixed it , re-inflated it tested it and when she said she was a first time visitor they told her "no charge, welcome !" I'm always skeptical when I go to a new mechanic. But I really liked this place. So far I've had minor work done, oil changes, fix tires, wind shield wipers and I've been completely satisfied every time. They show me exactly what they did or removed and always give me advice, but NEVER make me feel pressured into a sale... That is a different experience from what I'm used to, as at other locations, for some reason, something else was always wrong with my car... And it's a new car... Anyway, they are very friendly, fast and answer all my questions... I give two thumbs up and recommend this place. read more

Just updating because good mechanics are often hard to find. Took both cars in for oil changes and such and Richard had some recommendations. Car 1: 200k mile and more and so we did the change to all synthetics including some transmission and power steering flushes and refills with synthetics. Now I questioned it a bit but I knew from experience that fluids really do effect a cars performance. Had two long road trips since, both in excess of 1K miles and the car runs noticeably smoother and an increase in MPG to the tune of 10%-15%. Car 2: Started with oil but, he found things that needed to be made right including repairing parts that some knucklehead Glued on parts of the engine. He made it right so that even my wife noticed that it drove "Way Better" than it had previously. So yes, proper maintenance is not free or even cheap but, With one car in excess of 220,000 miles and the other at around 179,000 miles and they both are nice and reliable... that's good for me. I will refer anyone I know to this shop. read more

Im always getting great work from these guys, all of them. Hugo and Harry always handling business and very thorough and the mechanics do a proper job, I always notice a positive difference to my car. If something has gone wrong they have ALWAYS taken care of their warranty work. Never leaving me hanging. I have read some of the 1 star reviews on here and they're lame reasons and seems like the customer just isn't knowledgeable of what they want. Stop blaming the company for you wanting to take the Cheapest way out, or something just happens to go wrong afterwards. It's not their fault Sh** Happens. Do your research on what you want or part(s) you need and you'll be surprised What you can learn from pricing to durability. I happen to be a person that does not trust mechanics AT ALL, but I trust the staff up front and the mechanics putting in the work At Burbank Tire Pros. Do your research before you come in and know that the cheapest way out is not always the way to go. If you want the car to last, preventative maintenance is needed. But after reading about some of the issues people have with Costco, I decided to give this place a shot. They set up with 4 brand new tires, as well as alignment. I needed a new hybrid battery in my 2010 Prius, which is an expensive fix. The dealership was going to charge me $3800 for it! I found a website called The Hybrid Shop, which certifies people to refurbish batteries and recommended some local spots to me. Burbank Tire Pros was my first call and he told be they were doing a special deal installing refurbished batteries for $1995 (+tax) for a full install! It sounded too good to be true so I made some more calls and found some other places around town but no one could came close to beating that price. Ultimately what sold me was that he said he'd be able to work on my car after he finished installing hybrid batteries in a few Prius taxis. If he's good enough for a taxi service, he's good enough for me! Those guys wouldn't go to just anyone. In person, Richard was friendly, informative and very helpful. I've found my mechanics!!! Stopped in to have brakes checked and get a quote. Not only was Ohan very personable and polite he got my jeep checked and gave a quote within 30 minutes. Richard took the time to show me the brakes while giving options to help me stay within my budget. While waiting for the bill (which was very reasonable) noticed them helping an older gentleman, they were kind, knowledgeable and friendly to everyone that came in the shop. Before leaving I asked Richard to look at a small leak on the thermostat housing and he was able to give me a quote right away, will definitely be returning to have them do the repairs. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place and especially Hugo. I called a few different tires places for quotes and by far got the best deal here. I was able to get four brand new tires with installation/fees/taxes for under $450 which is a steal. Keep in mind there are brand name tires Kumho to be exact for my wife's 2014 Acura. Hugo was able to squeeze us in at 530 to get the tires installed and was out in about 30 minutes. Given this experience, this is our new go to place for tires. This tire shop is the best in town I take all my cars in for my tire and mechanic needs. They are very honest and have the best customer service. Prices are great and reasonable. I own 3 bmws and one Porsche. One day I took in my bmw m5 for a tire replacement and they took a look at my front and rear breaks along with the control arms at no additional cost. Having gone through 4 cars, I have a lot of experiences shopping/dealing with auto parts/services and know most places will treat women differently, usually higher price and/or lower quality. I've been a loyal customer of Western Tires, also in Burbank for the last decade. Purchased my last 2 tires there and recently needed 2 more. I wanted the same brand & model so called Western Tires and was given a quote $10 higher than before. Decided to shop around just to see what the competition offered. Called up 2 other places to find out that the model I wanted had 2 speed ratings and the price difference was roughly $25 more for the higher speed. I decided to go with Burbank Tire Pros who gave me the best deal and so glad I did! Service was excellent. Hugo was very helpful and the whole process was so simple! I later found out that Western Tires (last year) sold me the lower speed rated tires at higher price and never bother to mention about the 2 different speed ratings. In my family we have 4 cars. We have been taking our cars to this place for over 6 years basically for everything: oil change, brakes, tires, etc. 2 days ago i took my car there just for a turn signal bulb change. I guess the new manager told me that they are very busy and asked me to come back next day. So next day i took my car back. Same guy told me that i have to leave my car for 3-4 hours. Are you serious? For 1 bulb change? I was mad and I told them that NEVER will come back and I left. After 10 minutes police stopped me and gave me a ticket for a non working turn light. So i took my car to other mechanic shop. The person who was working there fix it in 10 minutes and when I asked how much should I pay the guy smiled and told me "what for? It was only a bulb change". I purchased a voucher for a Oil Change from Amazon Local for 3 Oil Changes, the instructions said to make a resevation. So.... I followed the instructions.... I think I was calling Mother Russia Black Market from the person who answered the phone. This was on a Thursday morning, His response was like a very bad Saturday Night Live Skit. In about a lifeless voice that sounded like a Zombie from the Walking Dead, if they still worked in the tires store after being killed, "no oil change today, tomorrow or Sat." I then asked when I asked when I should bring it in. Tueday 8am, no other responce just hung up. Sooo.... I show up on Tuesday 8am. All the service bays are open and empty, no other cars or customers present. All the signs Displays and Tires are out. I walk up to the counter where 2 gentlemen (I use this term very loosely) talking at the counter. I wait until they finish their conversation in their own language, and wait for a very simple "can I help you". Instead I get "why are you just standing there, what do you want." , Hmmm As I stand there with the Amazon Voucher on the counter. I am now thinking no way in hell am I going to have these 2 touch my car. But I figure it is just a oil change. I then show the gentleman with the extensive Tat collection the voucher card and he again states what do you want? I respond just a Oil change with the voucher. Now comes the responce that by now did not suprise me. "leave you car we are too busy now" it will be at least 4 hours or maybe longer! I don't know about you but I worked hard to buy my car and there is no way in HADES I would let these guys park my car let alone work on it. Years ago I had managed 3 different service stations and if we spoke to people in this manner we would have been out of business within a month. I wonder how they actually make the money to pay for their location, as whenever I go by there It is empty. Called ahead to make reservation for oil change and ask what the price out of pocket would be. They said I may come in on my preferred date, a Saturday morning at opening. They never took my information down to secure an actual reservation. Since I wanted to purchase a multi-use voucher to use strictly for oil changes (3 "free" oil changes) I confirmed what the price would be... $25 plus $2 for oil disposal fee. I bought the voucher to use since indeed the oil changes should be free and I expected to only pay $2 out of pocket. I brought the car in and they said it would take between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. That's a long time considering there was only one customer ahead of me also getting just an oil change. Left it. Received call to pick up 3 hours after drop off. They informed me that during the inspection my brakes that they are needed of replacement right away as less than 5% are left. I knew for a fact from 2 other vendors when pricing out tires during the past 3 weeks that the brakes were low but at just over 20% left and in need of repair soon but not immediately. I said I would need to come up with the money during the next week to get my brakes done soon and just wanted to pay the couple of bucks to finish the oil change transaction. They took my voucher and charged me more than the quoted $25 for the oil change. I said I would happily pay them the $2 disposal fee but not the extra $8 for the oil change because the voucher only covers $25 and the oil change is not actually "free." After explaining that I called and was quoted those prices the guy started arguing with me about the money and transaction. He actually said at one point that he would not even release my car because having less than 5% of brakes is dangerous and he is legally obliged to do so. After his yelling and finger pointing (of which I asked him why he is yelling at me and shaking his finger in my face) I just wanted to get out of there as there is no good that can come from my little kids seeing his rate of violence ramp up. Currently the service guy I am talking about is pictured in the business description. Maybe he is the owner or not, I don't know but I would not trust my car to get ANY work done here. Don't do business with them. Don't buy any vouchers to use with them. Don't take their word for anything they say. Get verification of all charges before you let anyone do any work. This was a great way for me to find a new service station to get both minor or major work done. Why scam over a few dollars when you could scam the customer for the major work that needs to be done? He's not even a good scammer. read more

Trustworthy shop and tire place. I bought tires through TireBuyer and they were one of the shops recommended for installation. I also bought a tire warranty from them, especially with SoCal roads being full of pot holes and such. I am recognizing for their most recent service, though I was without a car for several days (due to rain, and obtaining the right parts), they handled it well, and didn't break the wallet too much. If it wasn't for them and their keen eye for the multi-point inspection, I wouldn't have noticed the suspension bushing AND frame issues with my car. The car would be done... like completely done, broken gone... Richard handled it, and was able to get the parts and my car back to operating condition. I'm surprised Galpin Honda didn't even notice the front suspension bushing tear AND the rear crossbeam sub frame tear -- they just tried to pass it off that i needed to get an alignment from them.
