I feel absolutely obligated to give this BK a 5 star review! I placed an order through the mobile app and it wasn't allowing me to customize anything in my order. When I pulled up to the drive through, I actually got extreme anxiety over having to ask them to customize my order. I know I got that way from the horrible customer service going on at so many places, but especially at their competitor (McDonald's). I couldn't believe my body was actually having a physical reaction to this (fear of asking the worker to customize my order) but it was! The man at the drive thru was actually so friendly. He had no problem customizing my order. When I got to the window, a woman opened it and chatted with me for a second. She asked about my day and explained they were making me fresh hot fries. When my order came out, they had forgot the capri sun with the kids meal and I felt nervous to have to ask for it (who knew you could have mild PTSD from bad drive thru experiences ... sheesh!) but she apologized and gave it to me with a smile. Whoever was working today (8/18/22 @ 4:45pm) thank you so much for your friendly demeanor. For some of us, this goes an extremely long way. I have to shout out this Burger King because the service is always great. the staff here seems so good-hearted and continually like they're all in a good mood. this drive-thru gets slammed during the weekday lunch rush and they seem to do a very quick job of getting everybody through and there's never been any issues with my order. I think they deserve more stars at this location. read more

As a vegetarian, when I need to grab a meal on the go, I am a fan of the Impossible Whopper. Or, as I like to call it, the Impossi'Whopper. But Impossible Whopper is fine, if you're not in to the whole brevity thing. ;-) I've rolled through this Burger King drive-thru more times than I'd care to admit. There is a traffic light right at the entrance, so it is easy in-and-out from always-busy Transit. They usually keep the drive-thru line moving along, even at busier times. I like to order on the BK App because they almost always have a deal going for a $6 small Impossi'Whopper meal. For under $7, I add cheese and customize all my toppings (extra everything), and it's a fresh and filling sandwich with small onion rings (or fries) and a small soda. Check out the BK app for lots of good deals on their meat and meat'less options, it really is a great savings off of regular menu prices. read more

When it comes to fast food, my bar isn't set very high. I'm not going in with an expectation for the fries to taste like the potatoes were perfectly peeled, and the char on the burger mimicking some overpriced gourmet place. This is Burger King. Sometimes you'll get a full head of lettuce on your Whopper, salty fries to make your physician worried, and a Canadian helping of mayo. And that's ok. My family has a Friday night BK tradition where we pat ourselves on the back for eating in all week and indulge in a Whopper meal for two coupon that comes in the mail each and every month like clockwork. This is a Burger King we frequent, and the service (I can only vouch for the evening crew) has been nice and fast for a long as I can remember. Thankfully, I've never had to do a U-turn fueled on an internal rage of hangriness because my order was wrong. The food satisfies our weekly fix (there's something about fountain Cokes here and at McDonald's ... I swear they put crack and fairy dust in it), so I don't have complaints. Plus, this particular Burger King location just had a major renovation (you know things look nice inside when you see suburban folks on their phones and laptops treating it like a Starbucks), and it's really pretty. read more

Everyone has tried Burger King right? Am I right, or am I right, or am I right? I bet when you saw that I reviewed Burger King you were wondering if I like Burger Kings fries or McDonald's fries? Right? Well, every once in awhile I like a BK cheeseburger. Sometimes plain. Sometimes not but definitely no pickles. Is it good? Yeah, sure, whatever. Every once in awhile I like a Junior Whopper. No pickles. Is it good? Yeah, sure, whatever. But mostly, I enjoy a crispy original chicken sandwich and that's what I buy. A side of high blood pressure please, please and thank you. Ya know? Yeah, sure, whatever. Oh, and an apple pie. Hold the fries, I actually like McDonalds (never ever decomposes) fries and if I'm feeling really dangerous I will drive thru both drive-thru's just to pick up a BK chicken sandwich and Micky D's fries. Yes, I'm that person. One of those people. Or at least I was. Nowadays, I try to avoid these drive-thru's altogether. I'm getting older, I'm smarter, I'm healthier, this happens in life if you're lucky. Not everyone is lucky but that's for another conversation. Burger King. Breakfast. Hmmm... Um, Sausage, egg and cheese croissan'which and some French toast sticks please. Double chin mode and a muffin top in full effect. Eh, I sport it well. Does it taste good? Yeah, sure, whatever. It's too much to ask for a drive-thru green juice cafe, places like that might prevent obesity and that would be a tragic loss for doctors, big pharma and hospitals. Imagine if everyone was healthy. Woah, the thought. Mind blown. Moving forward. I have been to this Burger King more times than I care to admit when I'm rushing on my lunch breaks because I went shopping instead of someplace healthier to eat and let me just say that the service here is pretty good! Their staff always seems upbeat, courteous and friendly. Bravo to hiring employees that actually like working in a fast food joint! They've never made any mistakes with any of my orders either. However, I do NOT recommend eating at Burger King. I frown upon it very much. Considering that someone might be traveling in the area and let's assume they don't mind eating this unhealthy trash, they might want to know if this is a safe spot to stop at and for that reason alone I am rating this Burger King location a four. Clean location, safe neighborhood, great customer service. I think most people know what to expect with the food. Quality food, healthy food... I stopped at BK to grab lunch for me and my friend. I got two tacos and she got a burger combo. The burger combo was as always pretty much met with expectations. The tacos on the other hand were gross! The shell was glued together with the pasty filling. I have no clue what it was. The first bite was all stale shell, the second bite I got some of the filling. It was the consistency of oatmeal, not really anything recognizable. I stopped there and pried this thing open. There was nothing in the shell that could be called cheese or lettuce. No sauce? And the "meat" was like baby food. Just don't do it. Spend a buck and get something from somewhere else. read more

This is really close to my house so you'd think I'd come here a lot, but I never do, not since the first time when I got a Whopper, of course. Their sandwiches aren't anything special, but they're not bad. Extra Long Spicy Chicken... not awful for fast food. Jr Whopper... it's okay, but it's almost $2 now. I have to say the Whopper is not that bad... the flame grilled taste... it almost starts convincing me that it's not actually pre-packaged and frozen and generic and plastic. It's hard to rate a chain so poorly when it doesn't taste that bad, but then I remind myself that they are one of the biggest of all chains, and that they contributed massively to the downfall of thousands of wonderful eateries around the country, and indeed they and their type are taking over the cheap dining scene all across the world... not just in the USA. But I have to be honest... while the Strawberry Shake is too sickly sweet and Yogurt tasting for me, the Chocolate shake is probably the best (although also the sweetest) out of all the fast food choc shakes, except maybe for Jack In The Box. And this particular location has a cutie with red hair working here who is super nice to me, as all the girls are here. So I'm raising them up to the 3 that they deserve for the lovely shakes late at night, the decent sandwiches, and the sweet service. I should mention, I only rate national and global chains on a scale of 1-3. I rate family businesses on a scale of 3-5. Here is why: Would you rather support the local family, or the multi national corporations and the rich men on yachts in the Carribbean? Why are the parking lots of the awesome local places usually half empty (or completely empty)? Why are the fast food chains always so busy? Why can they afford to open so late and get all the TV advertising and all the prime intersection locations? Why are they taking over all the airports, stations, and rest stops? Why go and support McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King, KFC, Wendys, Cold Stone, Subway, and so on? These places have systematically and coldly taken over the national food scene by using the cheapest ingredients, pre-packaged frozen systematic meals that are identical across the nation, ridiculously cheap prices for the polystyrene food on dollar menus, overpricing for everything else, rude underpaid servers on way less than minimum wage, and a ridiculously expensive mass brand advertising campaign that gets inside the heads of all the kids and the 20somethings and keeps them under the illusion that if it's not a brand name, it's not worth visiting. They spend all the money they should be investing in food and service, in advertising and cornering the market - the local places can't compete - and someday all we will be left with is the same chains serving the same food all over the world. That is our future. It's the way we're heading and you know it. Every time you eat at a bland national chain, you buy into that, you support that. Boycott chains. Support your local eateries. It's an embarrassment that generic brand national chains are even listed on a proper foodie website like Yelp, let alone getting 4 and 5 stars from so called foodies. Wake up, America, before we're all just batteries in the matrix. read more
