Truffle Mushroom-Swiss and Daily Greens Salad
    Josh W.

Solid burger place at a higher than expected price point in a charming, but cramped location. I brought my family here for my son's birthday dinner (he loves French fries naturally) and was impressed by the quality of the burger. The truffle mushroom Swiss burger was flavorful, full of fried onions and delicious. My wife ordered the paleo burger and we appreciated the many choices you have for your food (beef, Turkey, chicken patties, etc). All of the sides are al a carte which is disappointing because you're paying $15 for the burger alone. The restaurant is narrow (typical for orange Ave in Coronado) so it feels cramped when there is a long line queued right up to your table.

Casual eatery for smash burgers, fries, and shakes. There is some seating inside and outside and the workers are very friendly. We ordered a lounge burger, fries, and drinks. Five stars for fast, casual service but food gets three stars. The buns get pretty soggy and the soda was flat.

A year ago, friend recommended this place for their grass fed beef patties so we came here for my husband but I was pleasantly surprised at their in-house made Grain Vegetarian Burger. Main dishes: my husband tried the California burger. The bacon was crispy and the avocado added a nice touch. He said the burger didn't have excessive taste and was a little lack luster but overall, it's worth getting again. Apps: onion rings were crispy. Daily greens salad was great to share! We struggled a little with the wooden utensils but I appreciate that they were compostable and better fur the environment. Parking: if you're lucky to get street parking, that's ideal but it's a pretty busy road so unless you can parallel park under pressure, I'd park in the neighborhood behind the building or in the Vons paid parking lot. Food: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Great service. Juicy, fresh burger! And the juice isn't from the sauce, it's from the well-sized burger. Delicious!! Love the 50/50 fries/onion rings but you Only get 4 onions rings and they're absolutely delicious so you may want to just get those. Although their fries are fresh and crispy but not greasy. Stella on tap! Coke products. Indoor and outdoor seating (not a ton though). Free 2-hour street parking.

My family and I placed a to-go order at Burger Lounge today, and overall it was a good experience. The restaurant is located on a busy street, so it can be tough to find parking. We had five separate orders, and I appreciated that everything was accurate and neatly separated into different bags. I ordered the Lounge Burger with a side of half onion rings and fries. The onion rings were definitely the highlight--crispy and full of flavor. The burger had all the right ingredients, but the flavor didn't quite stand out for me. The service was friendly and efficient, and I'd return if I'm ever in the area.

We went to Burger Lounge and were excited to see they had a $5 menu! We ordered burgers, fries, and shakes--and everything tasted really good. The burgers were fresh, the fries were crispy, and the shakes were sweet and creamy. The staff was super nice and friendly, which made us feel welcome. The restaurant was clean, had chill music playing, and was a nice place to enjoy lunch.

Service was fast. And the restaurant was nice and clean. Burger and chicken sandwich were really good and tasted fresh! My chicken sandwich was massive with a lot of avocado! Fries were very good as well! Overall a great experience just a little pricey when feeding 3 people.

Delicious as always! We got there right before the rush, usually there's a long line of people. The food is always hot and fresh. We love the Lounge Burger, Grilled Chicken Club, and the Turkey Lounge Burger. We love the dairy-free milkshake and fries too. Burger Lounge is very clean and the staff is always friendly.

I'm surprised how much patio seating there is. It's a small place but they've used the space well. The music is a little loud. Why don't more places do Belgian style fries?? They're so good!! I love the variety here! It is definitely not a boring menu. I love the stainless steel trays although they do slide around if you need to cut your burger with a knife and fork. The knife and fork are lightweight wood and compostable. They did about as well as plastic would have but it was still hard to cut through all the layers of my Paleo Burger. Nice fresh veggies! Lots of chargrill flavor on the burger and bacon. So good. I loved my Modern Times Cold Brew milkshake even though the coffee flavor wasn't very strong. I'm very glad we came and we will be back!! The staff were friendly and worked to answer questions for me about ingredients.

Outside there's a lot of shaded patio seating.

It's all about the location and what you do with it. We love coming to Coronado and this was our first time at Burger Lounge. We found free nearby parking a block away and I ordered a codfish burger, large onion rings and an ipa. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the view of Orange and people watched. A lot came in to get their food to go. My food was delicious; the burger was one of the best I've ever had. It also isn't a big place but it's great s we hat they've done given the size and has an awesome vibe. My one complaint would be that the large onion rings weren't very large. Overall, it's a bit pricey but I highly recommend trying this place!

Location, location, location! This Burger Lounge trumps all other Burger Lounges due its location! Resting in the middle of one of the most fashionable as well as trendy beach communities in Southern California, and only steps from a gorgeous beach and the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean. Aside from the delicious burgers and fries prepared to your liking, it's a wonderful place to people watch, and oogle (wink). Take care while eating or you may bite your tongue in the process. The burgers are very good, the atmosphere is perfect, and the indoor seating and outdoor seating is well maintained and clean. Various beverage options, which also includes draft craft beers. I will definitely revisit in the near future, and highly recommend.

The service was excellent so that's all I'm going off of. The menu did look pretty fire though, so I'd be willing to give it another shot cause for all intents and purposes, the other people in the restaurant seemed to be really enjoying the food! But anyways... I'm a skillet cookie connoisseur. Any place that has a skillet cookie, I'm going there SOLEY to order it. If I ever get married, instead of having cake, my guests will be having skillet cookies for dessert instead. Some might say I love skillet cookies even more than Scottie Scheffler. My love for skillet cookies runs deeper than the Mariana trench and I've been to more than (at least) 11 restaurants to exclusively try them out. With that out of the way... I'm horrified to report this is the worst skillet cookie I've ever had in my entire life. It somehow felt overcooked, yet undercooked at the same time. It was also like they cooked it at an angle. Because it awkwardly occupied 3/4ths of the skillet. It had the consistency of a cake but the taste of a cookie? It was like they couldn't decide whether or not they wanted to make a cake or a cookie. So instead, they decided to half bake something that was in between. I couldn't believe it. It was also completely lacking in the chocolate chip department. All in all, this skillet cookie had a worse performance than Michael Jordan during his high school varsity tryouts. I'll admit it too... I completely lied to the waitress when she came over and asked me how the cookie was. Instead of telling her the truth, I gave her two thumbs up and said, " it's good!".... It was not good. It was terrible! I'm a coward.

The burger wasn't the worst burger I've ever tasted, but was drenched in mustard and grease. The fries were bland and burnt, and the fish and chips had virtually no seasoning or flavor. Our server was sweet and somewhat attentive. She checked in right after bringing our food and then we didn't see her again until we were done eating and out of drinks. I'm not saying I wouldn't recommend giving it a try, but at that price point, I expected better quality food.

Captain's Log, Stardate 21483…read more This past Sunday, I charted a course to Nicky Rottens in Coronado, a delightful establishment located at the end of Orange Avenue. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an uplifting open-air environment, truly a breath of fresh air that felt like stepping onto the observation deck of the USS Enterprise. The amazing views of the bay were nothing short of spectacular, bringing a serene beauty that rivals the finest star systems. Over the years, my wife, her girlfriend, and I have become frequent travelers to this culinary haven, beaming back for nearly 15 years--a testament to its enduring allure. The selection of IPAs and mixed drinks is impressive, catering to even the most discerning palates in the galaxy. The choices are vast enough to satisfy anyone embarking on this flavor exploration, whether you prefer a refreshing drink to toast a successful mission or something bolder, like a phaser on stun! The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite. You'll find that each dish is prepared with precision, as if overseen by a skilled chef with the abilities of a Vulcan and the passion of a true culinary Starfleet officer. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness! Aside from that, they're generic normal tasting tater tots. For the burger, I liked the bun and other ingredients, but thought the savoriness of the meat was just okay. Umami Brussels Sprouts (10/10) - The best Brussels sprouts I've had in San Diego so far! They had a nice crisp to them and weren't too oily or anything, but had a LOT of flavor, which I love. It didn't just taste dry and salty like Brussels sprouts sometimes can. Definitely one of my favorites. Molten Butter Cake (10/10) - This dessert is an angel food cake with pretzel toffee and caramel inside, then it goes in the oven to get warm before being brought out and topped with vanilla bean gelato and caramel. It was so well balanced. It looked really sweet, but because of how balanced all the flavors were, it didn't actually taste overly sweet. I don't even like caramel and it was SO good in this. The outside was soft, and the toffee and pretzel inside gave it a nice crunch. I really liked the combination of the soft cake with the crunchy pretzel toffee. Wagyu Cheeseburger with fries (8.5/10) - The patty had a smoky, grilled type of flavor that was really yummy. It was a good portion and was made really well. The fries were also a decent addition as a side choice. Egg Sandwich (8.5/10) - Pretty basic, but really well made and put together. The bun was a bit toasted, so it wasn't super soft and had a slight crispness to it, which I liked. The flavors were really well balanced and it was honestly so good. Service: The best service! Even when it wasn't a staff member in charge of our table, we were frequently checked on and everyone was super attentive and conversational, which made the experience a lot more personal and better. I love being able to share a laugh and have a conversation with the staff. The staff member responsible for our table was Heider, and he was super attentive, helpful, conversational, and patient. We also loved meeting Sasha! She's super nice and conversational as well. Thank you for having us! Ambiance: Such a nice restaurant inside and outside. We got the patio high top seating and it was really nice. It was hot out, but the big umbrella helped. It's super busy, but it still felt nice outside, and everything looked super clean and aesthetic. Really nice vibes overall.
