We are in the San Diego area for a business trip, and we decided to stop in for lunch. Wow! Amazing flavor and wonderful, lively atmosphere. Our food came out quickly, and it was hot and delicious. After one bite, we knew we made the right decision for lunch. Huge burgers wrapped in lettuce (our choice as we stay away from bread), onions rings, and a fresh garden salad. Oh my ... How awesome. I had been craving a burger for a while, so I was thrilled to find this restaurant while visiting Coronado Island. It was delicious; totally satisfied my craving! The menu is very simple, but we found something for each of us. My kids enjoyed the chicken tenders and my husband and I each had our burger. The meat and toppings were delicious and the bun was fantastic. The fries and onion rings were good, not exciting, but good. Service was great! Most places where you order at the register and have the food brought to you don't provide any level of service once the food is delivered. Not Burger Lounge! Went here the other day with a friend. It was a Friday at noon and it was busy! We sat and talked for 2 hours, and they always had a line. Not necessarily a long line, but some sort of a line. After eating their food, I know why. The menu is pretty simple, nothing too extravagant. Burgers, salads, fries, milkshakes, and chicken tenders. I ordered the turkey burger w/white cheddar & grilled onions. Yummy! :) The grilled onions were delicious. I also ordered the onion rings & my friend ordered the fries so we could sample both. Both very tasty, but the onion rings were my favorite. They were flavorful and the onion didn't come sliding out when you took the first bite. The workers were friendly and came by multiple times to clear plates or ask if we needed anything. We had a great lunch and the food was awesome. The only cons I experienced was that my burger was a bit salty. Don't know if that was because I ordered the turkey burger or the chef just had a heavy hand for my burger. Also, I asked one of the workers for some mustard when our food arrived. They never returned with it. Like I said, it was really busy and they were friendly, so I'll let that one slide. Burgers are in! This place is a fantastic group of restaurants in San Diego...the meat is top quality grass feed beef and all the food is fantastic. My daughters enjoyed the veggie burgers while I tried the turkey burger. The turkey burger seemed breaded or something and was not quite as tasty as the veggie. My first Burger Lounge experience was at the Adam Ave. location. I wanted to check out the other locations in San Diego. Burger Lounge at Coronado was next. My two brothers and my sister in law went here for lunch. The Coronado location is smaller than the Adams Ave location. I walked in and there are seats outside and some benches on both sides. There were even pillows on these benches. Two signs with words describing the food decorate each side of the restaurant. This place was really laid out really well. It still had that lounge feel. However, this location didn't have the bar stools. The burgers are still great and the onion rings are still the best! read more

This place made me think of a line out of the movie 10 Things I Hate About You: I wasn't overwhelmed. I wasn't underwhelmed. I was just whelmed. Burger places are popping up everywhere these days, so I think you have to put out a really good product to stand out. The burgers here are made with grass fed beef, and while they are juicy, I found them to be a bit greasy. The breading was not staying on the onion rings very well and the fries were nothing special. Over the past few years, this cute trendy Burger Lounge has popped up in several San Diego locations. I've tried it in La Jolla Cove and now in Coronado. Loved it both times!! I've never had a turkey burger in my life and decided to give Burger Lounge my first turkey burger experience. It was absolutely delicious!!! The turkey was perfected cooked to where it was juicy and yet firm at the same time. Grilled onions, special sauce, fresh tomatoes and lettuce was a truly mouth watering pleasure experience. I'm drooling just writing this review now. Everything just tastes great here! The fries are also amazing. Not too greasy, but very fresh, crispy, not too salty. You can definitely taste the difference in the peanut oil they use to make their food. I try to tell myself it's healthier than other burger places just so I can justify eating here. But it's just so yummy, i'm willing to throw out the calorie counter and come here again!! read more

I wish I tried this place earlier. It is a small burger joint with a limited menu. There's a choice of vegetarian, beef, or turkey. I tried the beef just to be on the safe side and it was really fresh. You know when a burger patty isn't frozen when it's lopsided and uneven. Oh, and grainy. I'd rather have it that way than any McDonald's perfectly round-shaped patties. My fave part is the thousand island dressing in a burger. Reminds me of a classier In-n-Out burger. read more

Burgers are grass-fed! I really like their burgers but wouldn't say it's better than many others. Prices are fairly expensive but I guess that's what you get for cows fed with grass. Burger Lounge has been on my radar for awhile, so when we passed the Coronado location on the way to meeting a friend, I knew that was where dinner was coming from. We got there at about 7pm on a Sunday night, and got there Just In Time. We sat in a booth in the very inside of the restaurant - yesterday was super hot, and it was nice and cool in there. It turned out to be pretty loud, so don't sit in there looking for intimate conversation. My husband ordered the beef burger, and while he still prefers Hodad's, he ranked it as one of the better burgers in the city. I had the quinoa burger, which I was excited to try, and it is one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had. I've had quite a few unique meatless burgers in town lately, and this is probably the tops in the typical "veggie patty" category. The use of quinoa instead of oats and other grains I think is what makes it so tasty. Add grilled onions and a pretty tasty bun, and I am sold. I had no idea that Burger Lounge had to-go service, so I am glad to know that the Hillcrest location is available to me as an "on my way home from work" stop. Yum! read more

So lately the burger joints I've been to (if they weren't something I can drive through) have been blah... or just something I ordered wasn't right, so when brother bear said "Lets eat at Burger Lounge" I kind of cringed. Coronado has a TON of places to eat at, so brother bear chose this one because they have been to a different location. We pulled up to the place and it looked very sheik and modern. The decor was eye catching and BRIGHT!!! It was fairly cold so i loved how they had the temperature inside was warm and welcoming. Brother and sister ordered in like 2 seconds so I really didn't have time to take a look at their menu, good thing they don't serve too much. I really love when I dont have to stare at a menu for more then 2 minutes to figure out what I want. In this particular case I didn't have too much to chose from (which in my case wasn't bad), so I went with the turkey burger w/ white cheddar cheese no tomatoe and got my side order of fries and drink and went and sat with my sibs. The service here was great. Most likely because we were the only ones in there on a Tuesday night. I've heard that it gets pretty crazy on the weekends, so I was happy it wasn't crazy busy! But the waitress was super sweet and she checked up on us fairly often and then brought our food out super quick. This was THE BEST TURKEY BUGER I have ever had, other then the home made one's my brother makes. But it was HUGE and I'm a big girl so I know what a HUGE burger looks like. and the grilled onions were AMAZING!!! The french fries came in that cute little box and it was just the right portion for me. I was starving and I ate the ENTIRE burger and fries. The burger was juicy and not DRY like a lot of turkey burgers tend to be, but not this one. It was ONOlicious!!! I read one review that said the burger was slippery, and I have to agree, but I didn't mind it much because it was very juicy and delish!!! I didn't mind if it splattered all over the plate, I'd probably have had licked it all up!! But I definitely would eat here again, even though it is sort of pricey.
