So far I have enjoyed all of my experiences here. The first time we came in, the person working the counter was very friendly and asked us if we had been there before and proceeded to explain how ordering worked. I got the avocado sandwich with all my customizations and some crinkle cut fries. The sandwich was good and I liked the toasted bread, however, the avocado was really a lot. I love avocado but it was almost overpowering there was so much on there. The next time we ordered it, the avocado situation was better, but I ordered on the app and chose no cheese and also added "no cheese" in the description and it still had cheese on it - bummer. But we will definitely be back as it's easy to hit it before heading to the beach. The fries are really nice and the sandwiches have a lot of available toppings. read more

From the moment my friend & I walked in the door we were greeted by a very friendly guy who told us how to order. ( They have paper bags to mark your order. Having never been there before we welcomed this help greatly! The guy could NOT have been any nicer! The sandwiches were fantastic. The bread was fresh and toasted to perfection. I highly recommend the Cali Club. It's cool that you can cross out any ingredients listed that you wish to omit. While we were eating, another worker offered to get us more dipping sauce for the fries, which were perfectly salted & the perfect texture. This is a great location that does the ordering differently than what I saw in Virginia. Menu board as you enter. Brown bags below the menu board sections. Fill out your order with a marker and take it to the register. Easy peasy as the saying goes. Their fries were very good. The Fitwhich regular size was all I needed to feel full. They have local craft beer available. Makes for a great meal at a reasonable price. Tables outside so me and my man pup enjoyed the meal in the sun while watching the people stroll by. This place is pretty neat. They have bags which have the ingredients marked on them and you check mark what you want on your sandwich. Love it! There only has been another place who does this and I found it pretty convenient because then you are responsible for your order lol The sandwiches were delish. I had a chicken and bacon one. I didn't finish it, I left a little piece because it was so big and fulfilling. My daughter had a turkey and cheese one. She also left a little piece but she liked it. Their fries were also pretty good. My daughter also had a milkshake and she thought it was delicious. The minus star is because they took a little to long to bring our sandwiches. Despite us being the only customers at the time. Also the cashier kept forgetting how to charge us and kept asking for help. I am not very positive that they charged us correctly. I tried the french dip with caramelized onions and a turkey sandwich with bacon and avocado added. Both were really good. The bread is perfectly soft, light and crispy on the outside. Went to Which Wich for my first time yesterday (1/17). I was a little overwhelmed with how to order, but after taking a step back it really isn't as confusing as it seems, haha. You choose what kind of sandwich meat you want, grab the corresponding bag, and check off what you want inside of your sandwich. I got a regular size of The Wicked, which includes 5 meats and 3 cheeses. I got practically everything on it just because there were so many choices to choose from..! The only thing I regretted, was getting bleu cheese as one of my cheeses. It took over my whole taste palate and took away from all the other good stuff. I ate the whole sandwich and was pretty full. I also ordered a regular sized Oreo shake with a banana, which was really yummy! I def. recommend that. Overall, Which Wich isn't my faaave. But I don't hate it either. I'll probably give it another chance some other day. After all, I filled out the survey on the receipt, and wanna claim my free cookie with my next purchase! Lol. read more

This was the fourth or fifth time I've come here over the last 4-5 years or so. We live in El Cajon, so it's not like we come here all the time, but we like it well enough to choose it over many other eateries on Coronado (when it comes to fast food at least). We were sad to see they took the Gyrowhich off the menu. At least in the way we remembered it. It used to be on Pita with the gyro meat. Now it comes as a regular sandwich with just the same ingredients as a gyro as opposed to it being an actual Gyro. Disappointed. So I got the Cheeseburgerwich. It was fairly good, but the sesame seeds weren't baked in and the seeds fell off all over my hand. Plus my sandwich hadn't been cut all the way through so I lost half of the ingredients just trying to tear it apart. It was greasy and messy. Not really what I wanted, though I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised getting a cheeseburger variety sandwich. The actual food was fresh and warm. Super happy there. We will likely come again as has been our tradition from time to time. But the lack of the gyro as we remember it will give us pause for sure. That's one of the only reasons we came. read more

I've only had Which Wich once, and this was the one I went to, so I don't have much experience with their whole setup, but I generally like it. They have all the sandwiches and main ingredients on paper bags, with sharpies galore. You fill out your bag with your preferred toppings, meat, sauce(s), and bread, and then pay for it when you're ready. In an order that included 6 sandwiches, mine was the only one they got wrong, and it was a smallish thing (they forgot the avocado). Overall, a positive experience, but a bit pricey, and I don't know that they are necessarily better than Subway, Togo's or Quizno's. But, if you're looking for some grub to eat at the beach, Which Wich is a decent choice. read more

Came back to try the Pepperoni typed sandwich and it was great! I also got a free chocolate chip cookie for doing the online survey. Another thing I tried was their chocolate Puck, which is basically a Resees with almonds; I would not bother trying it again. I think I just had the best sandwich of my entire life. Seriously, subway, togo's and any other sandwich place out there hasn't got a damn thing on you. So parking is non existent, as in you have to parallel park on the streets so that's the only real downside I had to coming here. Free WI-FI!!! (NOTE: THE WI-FI IS PASSWORD PROTECTED, THE PASSWORD IS 'hotwiches' IF YOU ASK AN EMPLOYEE THEY'LL TELL YOU. :)) And TONS of wall plugs to charge your electronics or even do some work here! I am definitely considering this place the next time I need to catch up on some homework. I think I counted 6 pairs (which is 12 ports) of wall plug areas for customer use; they pretty much had one for each table Here's how it works: Pick what you want off the menu, grab the corresponding bag that goes with it, and grab a sharpie. On the bag, check off how you want your sandwich, and they have TONS of options! 11 different cheese, 4 different mustards, 4 different mayo, 10 different sauces, 6 different dressings, 3 different onions, 13 veggies, and 7 oils/spices. Think Five Guys freedom + have it your way Subway + toasty PERFECTION of Togos and multiply that by, say 50. Anyway, you hand your bag to the cashier, if you want a meal pick up a bag of chips + drink. You have the option of making your sandwich a sandwich or a bowl (salad type thing). Let's start off with the bread. It is perfectly toasted. I love it. I always have this problem with subway toasting my sandwiches where it's good in the middle, but towards the edges and end of the sandwich it's way too crunchy and hard and I usually just peel those parts off and throw it away. I ordered The Wicked (3 different cheese and 5 different meats, with whatever else you want on your sandwich). I swear. It's like this sandwich was made specifically for ME. Okay, technically, it was, but you know what I mean. I had it with pepper jack, blue, and feta cheese, dijon mustard, light mayo, no spreads, no sauces, no dressing, no onions, lettuce, pickles, pepperoncinis, jalapenos, bell peppers, pickles, hot pepper mix, olive salad, oregano, garlic, pepper, and crushed red pepper. YUM. I also had their original BBQ house potato chips. Think ruffles, except crispier/crunchier. It was alright, I think I'll stick to Mrs. Vickie's chips though, 'cause I'm not a huge BBQ chips fan. Restaurant itself was fairly well kept clean, I noticed there would be an employee come out every 5-10 minutes sweeping floors and spritzing/wiping down tables. A couple of tables outside for outdoor seating as well, if you'd like to experience gorgeous Cornado's fresh air. It's only been my first ever visit to any Which Wich, but I think I found a new spot to frequent, I love it so far, will update if I feel I need to add anything. read more
