I have to say that they have the best burgers I've ever had so 4 stars why not 5 the service i went with my husband and 3 other friends while we were in town we showed up and the line was out the door but everyone recommended it so we waited in line when we finally got up to the register there was no one there one girl was making milkshakes which i understood she was busy but a small blond girl just kept walking by and not even saying on word to us about it being a second she just kept walking by ducking under the counter then walking away until the girl at the milkshake machine ran over took our order the other girl finally came over and took our friends order the girl who help us was so friendly and sweet she recommended the train wreck and BBQ Bison the garlic fries and O.rings were amazing especially with their ranch i wish they had name tags so i could give her credit for suggesting two awesome choices our friends complained to us about the blond girl being rude and short with them when they asked her for recommendations she was just like its all good being rude like just pick one we waited for a table the place was packed We finally found a table we waited 30 mins for our food but the place was super packed so we understood the wait finally our name was called when they called us the girl in the kitchen I'm assuming the kitchen manager told us that our fries weren't ready but our burger were and apologized we told her no worries 5 mins later our fries were at our table she apologized again. Our friends order was wrong they asked for cheese and for bacon on their burger and it wasn't on their we checked the ticket on the plate and half of the stuff they ordered wasn't on there she didn't add their fries or O.rings the girl in the kitchen apologized and fixed the order and gave them the O.Rings for free to make up for the mistake. While we were eating the rude girl came to our table and tried to clear our plates but we weren't done when we told her we're fine she looked mad. while sitting there we watched her continue to be rude to customers and even co-workers rolling her eyes at all times and being on her phone while there was people in the line. The other girl took on a huge line for hours while the rude girl just walked around we didn't want to ask her for more ranch or a to go cup because when we asked her the first time she was very rude about it like we were bothering her the other two girls working last night made up for her rudeness read more

Ok, this place ROCKS! I'm a regular, but just so you know, it took me a little bit to figure out how to get the most out of my visits... First, seating can be a challenge, but it seems to be rule of thumb that by the time you've ordered your food and it comes out, something has opened up (not always, but I'd say 95% of the time). And yes, you kind of have to "vulture it" especially during the holidays. Next, it can be a bit overwhelming -there is a lot to choose from. I highly recommend having the guts and ordering from the featured burgers list. I see people writing on here sometimes about how they weren't "blown away" by their food. Well, if you're going to build your own and not do anything special, then what do you expect? Try trusting the professionals and order something that they've already put together for you. Among my favorites: The Truckee Trainwreck (Yum! among other things, this thing has a homemade onion ring on it, house made chili, and a fried egg! Sounds creepy, but it's catching on and it's super good!). *Warning, this is definitely NOT a "first date" kind of burger. Well... then again, maybe it is. :P The Italian Stallion: Bison burger (not dry or gamy -tastes like REALLY GOOD beef) piled high with Genoa Salami, these peppers that are super good and a couple of italian cheeses. It sounds like meat "over kill" but it goes really well together. My mouth is so happy every time I get it. The Ahi sandwich: Marinated and pan seared sushi-grade Ahi with this slaw that is just a touch spicy. It's definitely got a wasabi kick. Really good, really healthy. The Turkey Burger: However you want to do it.. I normally hate turkey burgers -dry, no flavour. But THIS... wow. THIS is the farthest thing from any of that. One of the guys who works there said that they completely prepare this themselves. It's made with apples and celery, but there aren't any chunks. I can eat this patty completely solo -and quite often, I do. I'll order a big Caesar salad and have them throw that right on top and I'll eat them separately. Oh yeah, and before I forget... they have handmade shakes. My favorite is 1 scoop of strawberry added to the vanilla and a dash of chocolate squeezed in there -Neapolitan! I finally had the chance to visit BurgerMe in Truckee and try their famous Cowboy Burger, and let me just say--it absolutely lived up to the hype. Located right on the main street in the heart of Truckee's historic downtown, the place already has an inviting vibe. The moment I walked in, I noticed how full it was, which for me is always a sign that the food is both popular and consistently good. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even though they were clearly busy handling a big crowd. They made sure everyone felt taken care of, which added a really positive touch to the whole experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the Cowboy Burger. This burger comes stacked with bacon, crispy onion, jalapeños, fresh lettuce, juicy tomato, BBQ sauce, smoked cheddar, all nestled in a soft brioche bun. The flavor combination was bold and layered--the cheddar and bacon paired perfectly with the sweetness of the BBQ sauce and the slight kick from the jalapeños. The crispy onions added just the right crunch. One thing I really appreciated was that BurgerMe lets you choose the doneness of your patty, which shows they care about tailoring the burger to your taste. Mine came out perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. Overall, the experience felt like more than just grabbing a burger--it was the atmosphere, the energy of the place, and the kindness of the staff. After much rave and seeing it each time I drove through town, I decided to try it with my kids. For a place that only makes burgers I would expect the best burgers ever. Unfortunately we were all disappointed. For starters, the guy who took my order was very unfriendly. He made me feel like I was inconveniencing him and never cracked a smile. Then he got my order wrong. We ordered a chocolate milk shake which was delicious and the only reason this place is getting a star. The kids burgers were super tiny. If you are providing sliders for kids meals then list it as a slider on your menu, not a burger! The apples were covered with parley and pepper. I guess they use the same cutting board to cut and season everything. The turkey burger was dry with a huge bun and my blackened fish burger was tasteless and smothered with tarter sauce. It was more bread than fish. For such a small order, it took forever to come out. We waited 20 minutes for the burgers to come out and my fish burger wasn't even ready at that point. A burger should be tasty and juicy, full of flavor and fast. This was not the case here. My kids said they will never go back and neither will I. What kids doesn't like a burger? You are better off getting your burger somewhere else. read more

This place is solid. Is it amazing and wildly inventive? No. it is a standard burger, maybe dressed up a little. The real strength is the fact that they do different kinds of meats (bison, beef, turkey and veggie) and will do it all on a gluten-free bun. They will customize whatever you like, but if you are looking for something wildly exotic, you won't find it here. The music is often a little loud considering the poor acoustics of the place so at times it sounds a bit more like background noise than real music. That said, the last time I was there someone seemed heavy into the Christian music, which was not exactly my taste. All this said, you have to be careful about what gluten-free really means to you. Firstly, the gluten-free buns here are not something approximating a real bun. They are indeed dry and do fall apart easily. It is a lot like a bun crumble. We are not talking Udi's here. Secondly, they are not real careful about cross-contamination. If you are a serious celiac, you may want to tell them so and keep an eye on them. It is a good spot for a quick bite and way better than a classic fast-food burger which I'd rate a 1 of 5. read more

I recommend choosing a different restaurant than Burger Me in Truckee. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and most food prep staff were not wearing gloves. One person with gloves was observed touching surfaces without changing them. Additionally, there was more laughter at the cash register than cleaning tables. Staff behavior can significantly impact the establishment. The food was HORRIBLE! I ordered the beyond meat burger, and my child had a kids' burger. The fries were room temperature, and both burgers were dry and terrible. Nothing seemed fresh; the fries appeared frozen, and I suspect the patties were too. I'm inclined to believe this place pays for reviews because there's no way anyone could find this food delicious. Overall, a disappointing experience. read more

The shakes here are more than amazing. Whenever I need a good chocolate fix...I get the large. The turkey burgers are so tasty (and less fatty). The only drawback is Burger Me is less than 100 yards from where I work so it's way too accessible! Go there...it's a tasty, fresh burger & fries. And definitely go for the shake! And, if you do have to wait (since they've become very popular), head down to the cool shops just steps away. Fair & Green (a fair trade gift store), Riverside Studios, Drake & Lulu's Art Shed (both great, local artists' boutiques) and Feather's Edge Finery (tons of sustainable gifts). Went Back in tonight after not being in for a while because of my last bad experience but nothing was open and we were hungry so we went in and it was wonderful the girls ( I don't remember their names they don't have name tags) working were super nice and helpful we told them about our last experience they apologized really took the time to make sure our experience was better they made sure our order was correct and brought our order to us. They made us want to come back again. The food was amazing, the cook did awesome cooking our burgers just like we asked them to. You would think that a restaurant that serves nothing but burgers would take a little pride in their work and cook the burgers properly. My burger came so well done that it was dry in the middle and crusty on the outside. What a disappointment! It's not like the place was jam packed and they just didn't have time to do it right. We stopped by Burger Me in Truckee, CA, and had a mixed experience. I tried the Caesar Salad with Elk, and it was very good. Its a unique and flavorful mix. However, the kids' burger was a letdown. My daughter didn't like it at all. The saving grace was the fries. They were excellent and definitely a highlight of the meal. Yummmy yummy yum. Probably I would have to say, the best burger for take out or eat there that is located in town! The only thing is make sure you have extra time, they take awhile because if busy you will have to wait your turn.
