I have heard great things about burger me so I had to try it. I loved the location. The parking was easy and the atmosphere very enchanting. I enjoyed being in the rustic setting of Truckee. I had a great view of the trees and I enjoyed the passing of a slow moving train right outside the window. The service was prompt and pleasant. I ordered the double cheeseburger with mild cheddar and a small order of onion rings. They had a good selection of condiments. The place is small and at times was hard to navigate around but once I was seated I felt comfortable. The onion rings were amazing. They were batter fried and delicious. The ranch dressing seemed like it was made fresh. The burger was good sized. I almost had a hard time getting my mouth around it. Everything about the burger was fresh. I have no complaints about this place. I was surprised to see that they did not have a wifi hot spot available. That would be my only suggestion. read more

Fianlly went here after a year and got to say I missed it a lot. This was one of the best places that I went to while I was vacationing the Tahoe area and I was really happy either quality of food and the service that was there. I found this place from a tv show on foodnetwork and I'm happy that i did. I cant yell I'm back in December for my snowboarding trip and this is the first place I'm going to. read more

Good Burger and Fries! The place is small, but on a nice day they have some outside seating. I would say it is worth the wait. The burger was great and tasted very fresh. The fries are nice and crispy. We did have one problem, our sweet potato fries came out very cold. We mentioned it to one of the waitstaff and before we knew it, we had a fresh hot order of sweet potato fries. Parking is a hit or miss, but don't give up! I think this place is worth it. read more

Burger Me is my go-to place when I'm in town, heading back home from skiing, or not in the mood to cook. The wait for food can be long, but the food is delicious and consistently well-prepared. Considering that it's a mountain town where many locals run on "mountain time," I'd say they are downright speedy in getting your freshly cooked food to you. The food itself is not the end-all, be-all, but it's a great option any time. I am a burger eater (no bun) and I'm always happy with my food. I always get the sweet potato fries and ask for a side of their homemade ranch. Yum. I've taken friends there many times and they've eaten just about everything on the menu. The reviews from them are always good. In particular, the veggie burger always gets good comments, as do the onion rings. For those who complain about price, or say the food quality is on par with McDonalds, I say if you don't know the difference or don't care where your food is sourced, then by all means go to McDonalds. But in my book, this is many steps above. I have easily eaten there fifteen times, and I never leave unsatisfied. read more

First we are regular vacationers in Tahoe and we visited Burger Me restaurant for the first time. I checked Yelp for a good reasonably priced restaurant in the area of Truckee. Burger Me was one of many and with a good rating we went. On the good side, the burgers were really good with them offering wheat bun and cheddar cheese. Great add on in my opinion. They also have beer, tap and bottled. The garlic fries were delicious too. It's a small restaurant and it gets busy because it's popular and good. The parking lot is small, so you might have to park across the road or walk a bit. read more

If I was told I could eat only one food for the rest of my llife - it would be cheeseburgers. My last meal before an execution would be a burger. If I was stranded on a desert island, as long as I had burgers, I'd be just fine. I have eaten more cheeseburgers at more places than most people I know and the cheeseburger I had at Burger Me was the BEST burger I have ever had in my entire life. We recently moved to Truckee and I would be happy eating there everyday. The menu is vast, but easy to understand. The food is the best burger joint fare I have ever had. The restaurant itself is inviting. The staff is incredible - even when I took quite a while looking over the menu - they just very patiently guided me though the choices and options. Everything is cooked fresh so you have to wait a few minutes - fast food, this is not. Ingredients are fresh and local! I loved this place and will go again and again and again! read more

I love Burger Me. I wish I could eat here everyday. I am a big fan of the Turkey Burgers. They have great fries. Only problem is that is is popular so you hit it at prime time it can take awhile for food. read more

First impression was... "This place is packed so it must be good!". However!, it was so packed, that hubby and I waited about 20 minutes for a table to clear, by the time it did, two families of 4kids, 2 adults walked in, so of course we let them have the first table, then the second, while we waited by the soda machine, before finally grabbing two unused chairs and eating our food on the video game table. The burgers were awesome, and the sweet potatoe fries amazing, but it was so stressfull trying to eat while another family of six stood 2 feet from us waiting for our little spot. The burgers were a little on the pricey side, so they should be able to afford a little more seating....addition maybe, come on, business is hopping, you must be able to afford it! :) read more

Slightly steep on the prices but not crazy-perhaps worth it considering the fresh ingredients. Would not consider the burgers here great. Decent. Small (1/3 lb) and not that tasty for the price. It's $10-$12 for a burger and drink. Fries are extra and not that great. I had the Italian stallion and regular fries. My wife had the special (patty stuffed with cream cheese, jalapeños and bacon) on GF bread and the garlic fries. Her bun was very dry and pretty much crumbled in her hands. The patty needed salt and pepper bad. She didn't taste or see any jalapeños. read more

It was absolutely delicious. The place was ridiculously overcrowded, but they managed to get our food out in a timely manner. Be careful! It is about tiime someone looked out for the community. Mark Estees got his prices for his burgers and was like no way. Talk to everyone involved, like Truckee Bakery and said I need you to lower your cost. He did this with every company he worked with. Lower the bun, lower the cheese, lower all my sides to help this community to have a reasonable priced places to eat. Finally someone has got our backs. If you like your burger rare or medium, you better say so, otherwise it is well done. My only complaint. Otherwise, the Truckee River Sour Dough Bread buns, which were grilled, were excellent, the burger good size for $5.95, and the sweet potato fries were huge. The shake was great too. The people were nice, and service fast. Of course we were there at 3 pm. Won't be eating dinner now, we were stuffed. The burger had lots of tomatos, lettuce and pickles on it. I didn't even miss going to the condiment station, because there was plenty. Oh, and don't forget to ask for the free carmelized onions. read more

I went here for lunch for a couple of weeks ago and was quite impressed. I had the: Dirty Bird which was 5oz. of free range chicken, pepperjack cheese, fresh pico de Gallo, and Chipotle mayo. I ordered the combo so a drink and regular fries came with it. The place was really busy, but it didn't seem overly long to get my order. When I went to the counter to get my order there was garlic fries instead of reguar fries, awesome!! I went over to the condiments section and took a look and my giant burger and thought you know what maybe it won't need anything else. Boy, was I right. It was tasty with just enough spice not to be overkilled. The garlic fries were good too. My friend had the Patty Melt and said is was enjoyable too. He thought the prices were a little high, but I think it's to be expected for the high tourism area. It was pretty crowded and noisy, but to be expected in the middle of the day on a hot Saturday in August. There really is no real service other than getting the right order, and like I pretty much stated earlier I was glad to have gotten Garlic Fries lol. Took my family visiting from Lincoln for a late lunch. My turkey burger with added bacon and egg was great. My son liked his bison burger and my wife loved her ahi burger. The sweet potato fries were great. the only problem was waiting to get a seat. There were three young women in a corner table that ignored that people were waiting for seats even though they had finished their meals and were just sitting and talking - just rude. This is possibly the worst burger place I've visited in the last 10 years. I actually gave Burger Me a second chance tonight after a less then stellar meal this past fall. Well - they didn't disappoint me. The food here is mediocre and the prices are outrageous. A burger where they use the tomato crown, stem and all. The fries are dry, burned and have mostly small pieces. A grilled cheese sandwich in a burger bun that contained burned cheese - badly burned cheese. I could go on with the poor quality of the food but I'm sure you all get the point. And the cost is very steep. I will never be back and suggest all avoid this place. read more
