Came in here on a Saturday lunch-time after a forced overnight stay due to weather and less than 2 hrs before a flight back to the East Cost. Asked if they could get me in/out in 40 mins because I had a flight and they were confident they could oblige. The service was fast and efficient - I got the fish sandwich and fries and it was great, very crispy fish and the fries are excellently seasoned. I'm not sure what they're putting on the fries, but its addictive. Order came fast and quick to my booth which had a built in TV. They got me out in 40, very professional wait-staff a tribute to the owner - these are the subtle things which are important to the business traveler. Very clean, modern surroundings, but not-pretentious. Had the burgers here before and they're great - I don't see the issue with price, but then again - I'm visiting from the NJ/NYC area - so it might be perception. What kind of burger joint is this?! We stayed at the hotel there and had 2 young kids so decided to stay close... we were told to sit anywhere when we got there and chose a small booth off to the side just in case the kids decided to be kids. The waitress immediately let us know the waiters all debated over who would take us upon our greeting..."but she took us!" So that's nice I guess... the food and service from there were ok but mediocre at best, overpriced for what you get but its downtown...I was mostly irked when the waitress just brought us our bill when we were still eating. This is the worst restraunt in Omaha. No stars. It made me put a star. Zero stars. Burgers are tiny. They ask you how you like them done, but both mine and my boyfriend's were both well done and dried up. Waitress was strung out. Service definitely needs worked on. Most of our orders came out wrong and at different times. Very slow/bad service. I will say that the food was good though once we got our correct order. The decor is really cool and the location is great. If they can figure out their service issue I might go back otherwise I probably won't waste my time. Apparently the name is literal and making a burger was still untested, until tonight, and just a theory. The burgers are expensive and subpar to say the least. They made from what seemed to be the lowest legal grade of frozen meat like patties with buns that must have come from the $0.99 discount bread section at Bakers. I think it's a normal assumption that burger prices include a side....think again! You have to pay for almost burnt fries or a salad, which I can only assume are week old leftovers from the local homeless shelter. We ordered vegetarian burgers and got a big mouth of what seemed to be grade D beef. I had to send the burger back and have now been waiting 45 minutes for my burger in an almost empty establishment. Go almost anywhere else and I'm sure it will be less expensive and higher quality. We are sitting here cursing ourselves for not eating the soggy leftover sandwich we found under the drivers side seat of our car...it had to have tasted better. read more

I was timid after reading some negative reviews, but heard it was under new management and needed to eat after a CWS game. I am glad we did! Despite being very crowded we were welcomed by great service. A manager, Nick, stopped by to ask how things were and refilled our drinks. I stay at the attached Holiday Inn in downtown Omaha when visiting my work HQ. Burger Theory is a good addition to the property with a good craft selection and menu options. Haleigh takes great care of the guys at Fox Blocks when we visit. And, early AM they have a good hot breakfast to get us rolling for the day. We will be back. read more

I love this place! We've been several times and had great experiences. I love the farm fresh burger but my husband is a fan of the line star burger because it's going an onion ring on it. The burgers are always juicy and cooked perfectly. Their onion rings are fantastic and the service is even better. Everything tastes fine, the beer selection is decent, the place is clean - The price is too high. $7 for a beer is definitely on the high side, but combine that with $14-15 for a basic 1/2 lb burger with no fries ($3.50 extra!?) and that rubs me the wrong way. $23 before tip for a burger, beer, and no fries which left me still hungry afterwards is pretty bad. I had a good time at burger theory! The fries were pretty good, just standard restaurant fries, served in a tipped over bucket. Personally I didn't try the onion rings but my friend did and he said he really liked them, but they were also just standard and you could get the same ones at many other places. The burgers were GREAT! Cooked to perfection! The meat had a good flavor and a great texture, not too chewy. The only thing I would have changed was the buns, I thought the buns were good but they were just average and for such a good burger I would have just expected a better bun, but either way the burger was still great! The BOSS BURGER was wonderful it's huge and certainly worth a try! I had an alcoholic iced tea that tasted nothing like iced tea, mostly just a fruity lemonade. I also tasted a Bloody Mary and it was great as well! The inside was very nice looking, the staff was very friendly and very attentive. Would I go back? Of course! Well. My first thought would be, if you want to have burger in the name, the burger should be top notch. We ordered pizza and a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg. Burger Review- the mix they use is ok - but not worth the price. They should stick with 80/20 beef and make a badass burger. The burger was overlooked and the egg was way undercooked. The whites were still liquid. For 11 dollars for the burger alone, I expect a great burger. Stella's has you by a long shot.
