a burger and a drink on a table
    Virginia B.

My flight was delayed 2 hours so decided to eat here because they are one of the few places that have brewed sweet tea. Lucky that I got one of the cushioned seats, rest are steel. Not very clean. Didn't see anyone cleaning tables. VERY rude employee at the place where you pick up your drink cup. They have fountain drinks as well as the tea and a full bar. Burger was ok, meat had NO seasoning at all. Even some salt and pepper would have helped. Tea was good and it was good to sit down for awhile after walking around for almost 2 hours. Would not return

Will they ever get my order right? First did you know when sitting at the bar counter you have to order an alcoholic beverage? It's their policy. So I had to order a Truly - that was ok but really not wanted. I ordered their veggie burger with no cheese or special sauce- I'm vegan and try my best to avoid dairy even when it's hidden in your food. I also ordered a basket of fries and onion rings. Crazy prices!! My veggie burger arrives with cheese on it which I guess was a blessing because I learned that they not only put cheese on top but inside the veggie burger Patty. I looked at the menu again and no where on the description does it state that there is cheese inside the patty. So my server sends it back and asks me what I want to eat again. My only option is the beyond burger. So I order that since I'm now obviously committed to eating there and at the bar. While I'm waiting for a new burger I start eating my fries and onion rings. The fries are ok but not as hot as I would like. The onion rings are much better. For the neatly $8 I paid for the combo I got 3 rings. So frustrating. I had to remind my server twice about my burger being remade but eventually and long after my fries were gone my burger arrived. Taste? It was ok. It would have been better if I could have enjoyed it with my fries/rings combo, Maybe next time now that I know more I will try you again BurgerFi? Or maybe not if there are other options at the airport.

Where do I start? The cheeseburger was just okay, as the bun was cold and the flavor was light. The onion rings were barely warm and extremely oily. They let me order iced tea, but were out is it, so when I went to get my drink is when I found out. I paid for a Diet Pepsi that I didn't really want. Only good thing about the place is a half decent hamburger and a good place to sit.

Saw the line and decided to give BurgerFi a try. Service was excellent and my burger came quickly! Freshly made, organic meat, double patty, melted cheese and onion, tomato and latticed dressed this glistening burger. Great bun, held everything and didn't disintegrate! One bite in and I could taste freshness. Not overly salted which I love, but not a whole lot of flavor. The sauce in the burger didn't add much at all. I will definitely order again because of the quality, quickness and customer service but maybe add a little something to lift the burger so it dances on the taste buds!!

Filthy, disgusting, and overpriced. Food is also very bland and not flling. Choose somewhere else to go.

    'Bacon' double cheeseburger

Raleigh Durham Airport needs to do a lot better. While recently traveling I had to eat at BurgerFi because there were basically no other options open. I used to enjoy BurgerFi at the Arboretum occasionally, but this experience was thoroughly disappointing. I ordered a lettuce wrap, bacon double cheeseburger. There was no bacon, the lettuce was soggy ( had to pay about two dollars extra for it), and the worst part.... The actual burger. If it's in your name, I should hope you would do it well. These patties were rubbery and filled with ground up gristle. If I wasn't starving andLettuce Wrap Burgers about to jump on a flight, I don't think I would've been able to eat it.

I am a fan and will keep them in mind for future visits. The Deets: I scoped out lunch possibilities on Yelp then found Page Road Grill not too far away and decided to visit since I've never tried it. Located near the Sheraton Imperial/I-40/Imperial Center area off Page Road in Durham, it's a short drive away for me. I was seated immediately in a booth upon arrival with no wait. The decor and appearance are nice, lending itself to either a casual (business casual more like) meal or a nice date night meal destination. My server was good to ask if I had any questions and got my drink order taken care of quickly while I read over the lunch menu selections. The soup that day was a bit on the spicy side and I appreciated my server letting me know so I decided on skipping, going on to order the Steak Frites. This meal choice did not take long and was well prepared (ordering it medium rare and getting exactly that). I do appreciate the overabundance of frites but would have been nice to have a bit of plate real estate for steak cutting, it worked out though when placing the ketchup and garlic aioli off the plate for space (both of those were very nice for dipping, I liked having both to mix it up). This NY Strip was good and flavorful, I enjoyed it as well as their frites (again, very plentiful serving of frites!). I felt the need for dessert so I went with their special of Limoncello Icebox Cake with coffee ordered to accompany it. The cake was delicious and it was a HUGE slab of it to enjoy! Service was good here for the most part as well. I am glad I decided to give Page Road Grill a try for lunch and will keep them on my radar for future visits.

Since it was a Monday night I was not expecting the restaurant to be busy and it wasn't. Plenty of open parking, no wait at all, and quick to be served. I ordered the smoked brisket which came on top of burnt end hash, collard greens, and topped with a bbq sauce/gravy. The brisket was so tender and a really thick cut. I typically like leaner cuts of meat and the meat was perfect, not too much fat. The sauce also complimented really nicely. The burnt end hash was also really good. The potatoes were tender and soaked up some of the juices from the greens and sauce. The greens were cooked perfectly. Not too soft and still had some crunch to them. They had a lot of flavor and had a touch of sweetness. I would get a bowl of them to eat on its own for sure. My coworker got the pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans which she said was really good. Her plate was vibrant in color from the vegetables and the pork chop looked well prepared. For dessert we shared the banana bread pudding with strawberry ice cream. The bread budding came out warm which was perfect to go with the ice cream which tasted homemade. I'm a sucker for anything strawberry though. The bread pudding had slices of banana throughout and held together well when eaten with the ice cream. Service throughout the evening was good. We were checked on and brought refills without having to flag down the waiter. Overall it was a great experience. I know I'll be back to RDU at some point so I'll be sure to come back.

Finally our server came and apologized about it not being on our side. We asked for the check and she charged us for those drinks WE NEVER GOT! That were sitting at the bar for 30mins. (Great WiFi!) The interior is glass on two sides, so it very bright, and appointed with comfy chairs with waist-high dividers around the bar and small table area. My friend arrived at 5:15 as promised and we were escorted to a table further down the building. The bartender brought my bill to the table later, and I asked if it could be added to the total but he said no. I had read about the pimento cheese wontons, so we decided to try those as a starter. They arrived hot and dressed with a red pepper jelly sauce. (Not too hot, a nice foil to the pimento cheese!) My friend liked them as well. Neither of us are eating large meals these days, so we opted to share an entree. We decided on the NY Strip steak ($38) which comes with smoked potato au gratin and collard greens. We tried to sub the greens for anything else, and the only other option was Brussels sprouts. (Green beans? Broccoli? Asparagus? Anything else? Nope, just stinky stuff.) So, stinky veggies were the only option. (We asked the waiter not to bring them, but they arrived anyway, and we had someone remove them quickly!) The potato's turned out to be more a chunky soup, rather than a casserole, but were tasty. Just difficult to share. (No spoons were offered for the soup!) The steak was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection (rare/medium rare) with a nice finishing sauce, and was just enough. Somehow, that steak, the wonton app ($11) and a regular house marg were billed at $88 after tax, which meant over $100 with tip, but I was enjoying my friend's company too much to dispute the bill. After I left, I did the math and figure they charged extra for something in there. But I was gone and never take the receipt, because most waitstaff do a good job of putting info into the POS system. Maybe I need to reassess my trust of waitstaff data entry. Suffice it to say this will not be a regular spot I go to. Stinky veggies, poor data entry and sides that can't easily be shared made for a sour first impression. The steak was good, but I can't find that extra $30 in anything, unless it was the toxic veggie disposal fee.
