Burger Fi is one of those places where there aren't many good food options around and you just settle for a burger. We picked up a few burgers from here prior to our flight back to Newark. Two burgers will run you at least $30, and it's school cafeteria quality. They are pretty hefty though, so at least it'll keep you full (but greasy). read more

There aren't many options for food at RDU Airport, and it's been that way for years. BurgerFi is in the old FiveGuys space at the D gates. After an underwhelming experience at Crawford's Genuine on a recent trip, I decided to give BurgerFi a try. What a letdown. First they charge extra to NOT give you a bun (the "green" lettuce wrap option.) Second, there was no unsweet tea, and at $3+ at that for sugary tea or a soda. Third, there was no ice at the soda machine. Fourth, the soda was flat. Fifth, service was really slow for an airport restaurant. Sixth, the burger patty was surprisingly small, and seventh, like others have mentioned, the meat didn't appear to be seasoned at all. Maybe a stand-alone BurgerFi (without the egregious airport markup) would be worth a second chance, but since there are so many good burger chains out there, BurgerFi is now going to the bottom of my list. My flight was delayed 2 hours so decided to eat here because they are one of the few places that have brewed sweet tea. Lucky that I got one of the cushioned seats, rest are steel. Not very clean. Didn't see anyone cleaning tables. VERY rude employee at the place where you pick up your drink cup. They have fountain drinks as well as the tea and a full bar. Will they ever get my order right? First did you know when sitting at the bar counter you have to order an alcoholic beverage? It's their policy. So I had to order a Truly - that was ok but really not wanted. I ordered their veggie burger with no cheese or special sauce- I'm vegan and try my best to avoid dairy even when it's hidden in your food. I also ordered a basket of fries and onion rings. Crazy prices!! My veggie burger arrives with cheese on it which I guess was a blessing because I learned that they not only put cheese on top but inside the veggie burger Patty. I looked at the menu again and no where on the description does it state that there is cheese inside the patty. So my server sends it back and asks me what I want to eat again. My only option is the beyond burger. So I order that since I'm now obviously committed to eating there and at the bar. While I'm waiting for a new burger I start eating my fries and onion rings. The fries are ok but not as hot as I would like. The onion rings are much better. For the neatly $8 I paid for the combo I got 3 rings. So frustrating. I had to remind my server twice about my burger being remade but eventually and long after my fries were gone my burger arrived. Taste? It was ok. It would have been better if I could have enjoyed it with my fries/rings combo, Maybe next time now that I know more I will try you again BurgerFi? Another franchise in an airport that fails to live up to the quality expected. The burger seemed small - I don't know if it was a lower weight or a higher fat content that cooks off - and there was no way to customize it other than buying additions. There's no integration with the BurgerFi app so you cannot earn or redeem point here. The fries are coated and taste like the rejects from a Burger King. Overall a sad state. Saw the line and decided to give BurgerFi a try. Service was excellent and my burger came quickly! Freshly made, organic meat, double patty, melted cheese and onion, tomato and latticed dressed this glistening burger. Great bun, held everything and didn't disintegrate! One bite in and I could taste freshness. Not overly salted which I love, but not a whole lot of flavor. The sauce in the burger didn't add much at all. I will definitely order again because of the quality, quickness and customer service but maybe add a little something to lift the burger so it dances on the taste buds!! read more

As a frequent flier out of RDU, I first went here because the eatery across the way had closed. Really glad I ventured in because since the beginning of this year, either I'm grabbing something for the plane or sitting and eating at the counter to wait out a delay. Consistently good food - funny enough, I've never had a burger from here despite the name because the Chicken Tenders are SOOOOO good! I've tried different sauces, still trying to nail down which dipping sauce is my favorite. And the French fries are warm, crispy and well-seasoned. Add to that the delightful and attentive service provides by the staff, especially Eileen K., this is a bona fide go-to eatery for me. read more

Many flights were delayed and BurgerFi was super busy. You could see everyone back in the kitchen hustling to get food out. My husband and I both had the cheeseburger and fries and everything was super fresh and good. Ambiance was packed and busy but that was to be expected in a busy airport, even more so after delays. read more

Raleigh Durham Airport needs to do a lot better. While recently traveling I had to eat at BurgerFi because there were basically no other options open. I used to enjoy BurgerFi at the Arboretum occasionally, but this experience was thoroughly disappointing. I ordered a lettuce wrap, bacon double cheeseburger. There was no bacon, the lettuce was soggy ( had to pay about two dollars extra for it), and the worst part.... The actual burger. If it's in your name, I should hope you would do it well. These patties were rubbery and filled with ground up gristle. If I wasn't starving andLettuce Wrap Burgers about to jump on a flight, I don't think I would've been able to eat it. read more

At the RDU airport, we saw BurgerFi and it was on the "cheaper" side of the airport food for $10/normal burger. Overall it was a great burger though they did mess up one of the burgers by putting on the sauce when someone on our party requested no sauce. This is located in terminal D of RDU. The ambiance was like a "ghost" town. Staff seemed like they were uninterested in being there. Although they were not rude, it did not feel welcoming. I ordered the CEO and what I thought would be fresh cut fries. However, upon receiving my food the fries were NOT fresh cut and resembled frozen seasoned fries. I was highly disappointed because their menu advertises for fresh cut fries. The burger was absolutely delicious. Juicy and loaded with flavor. Fries- Not so much. The total was $21. I do expect better considering they are charging a significant amount of money. Hopefully, they make some changes for their future customers. read more

However when we walked up to the counter the girl Working was immediately nasty and rude and hateful.. before we even had a chance to order. This place was ridiculous. Apparently there were too many customers and too many people in line, so they just closed down the register without bothering to tell anybody. They were still taking orders on the kiosks apparently, but didn't bother to tell anybody that either. Walking through the airport and I was starving. We all know that airport food is expensive so we look for the semi-best deal we can find as well as quality. I couldn't believe that at about 04:30pm I walked up to the restaurant and there wasn't a line at all. There were quite a bit of people seated already eating and they looked fully staffed waiting to serve guests. You had the option to order at the counter or a little kiosk machine off to the side and then wait for your name to be called. I decided to sit at the bar area and was immediately greeted by a very nice bartender who was honestly the best part of the whole experience at this restaurant. I ordered an Angry Orchards Cider (can never go wrong here) and a chicken strip basket with fries. If you follow any of my previous reviews you will see that I love my chicken strips and the level of disappointment I had here was so sad and especially for the price. Then, around 5:15 more people started to walk up to the counter for a dinner rush but it blew my mind at 5:30pm the bartender walked over putting the closed sign up. I said woah hey are you guys closing?! She said yes unfortunately they closed at 530 because of COVID and that none of them understood it either since about that time so many people were starting to come but they have to close down for the night even with as much staff as they did have at that moment. The fries weren't terrible, I made my own dipping sauce for the chicken tenders but it didn't hide the fact that it was basically only breading with no chicken. Rude staff. Staff basically asked me to move a few seats down so that I wasn't sitting at the bar since I wasn't drinking, despite the fact I am sitting there eating food from their restaurant. Treating me like a second class citizen because I'm not drinking midday and then proceeded to talk to one of the drinking patrons about how annoying it is how many times she has to tell people that a day. I mean, when you're at the airport, typically there aren't any rules. Mimosas at 9am, why not? Beer at 10am - who cares? Burger for breakfast? Sounds good! We found ourselves at RDU on Christmas Day, and we understood that all restaurants in the area would be closed. As such, we made it a point to grab dinner before we left the airport and headed home. BurgerFi was one of the only joints open, so we hopped right in. Thankfully for me, I am a huge fan of BurgerFi. I love the location in Cary in particular. This RDU location did not disappoint. I would visit this place again. The food was fantastic -- same, classic fresh food you could expect at a BurgerFi elsewhere. The only thing that would have made this place perfect was if they had ketchup dispensers and cleaner counters. The condiment dispensers were all empty, but the staff did have condiments in the back. The counters were a bit sticky as well. That said: it's the airport. I think this place is an awesome addition to the RDU airport! read more

I was so disappointed in the food after almost spending almost 40 dollars for 2 cheeseburgers 1 was so over cooked it had crusty crispy layers. I was highly pissed and requested my mon back. A five year old can cook a hamburger . This is a damn shame that people want to be paid for being lazy and unprofessional. My plane was delayed, so I was looking to grab a good burger, but got a well crispy fried burger and oily onion ring. Put the brakes on this place. Also, when I opened my soda it flat. After having an awful experience with a sit down restaurant (40 minutes and no food) we decided to grab something kind of "fast" at Burgerfi. The two burgers that we ordered came in moldy buns! Absolutely disgusting and I am now heading on another flight hoping my kids didn't accidentally eat any of the mold. Service isn't just bad it's hostile. I witnessed the guy at the counter snap at not one, not two, but three different people in the 15 minutes I was there. Unfortunately, I was one of the ones being denigrated. I paid $30 for a hamburger, drink and fries. I sat at the counter to eat it as I was traveling alone and all of the tables were already taken. This is a common traveler courtesy as to not take up tables that might be better used for larger groups. After 5 minutes and being halfway through my food a man came over and snapped at me that I couldn't eat there, it was only for people ordering drinks. I showed him my food and drink to prove that I'm a paying customer. He didn't seem to care because I wasn't buying alcohol at 11am. He held up a sign that saying something like "only people with drinks can sit at the counter". I showed him my coke but clearly that didn't count. I blew him off and continued to sit there. I only needed another 5 minutes to finish and figured I'd be done and gone before security got there. At that point he "gave me permission" to finish. Another customer came up to the counter and attempted to order a soft drink. The same guy wasn't having any of that. He was rude to the customer and directed him to the burger line and said he couldn't sit there. At this point I was finished and got up to leave as another person approached him and the cycle started again. It's clear this restaurant does not care about paying customers, it's equally clear they care about selling high-profit-margin alcohol. The printed signs demonstrate this. So unless you're 21, want to buy booze at 11am to go with your crappy $15 hamburger and enjoy being snapped at by middle aged dudes then you should avoid this place. read more
