I love my local Burlington Coat Factory Store. Yes, it can be messy and disorganized in there sometimes, but it's a bargain store so what do u expect? Plus I see the workers putting a lot of effort into putting things back into place after we the customers go in and mess it all up (lol). Some of the customers need to control your little ones that like to touch things. I'm there quite often because of the deals they have and most of the time, I find unexpected treasures. I was an avid shopper here, but after today I am reconsidering ever going back. I am currently pregnant with my first child, 37 weeks along. I just had my baby shower last weekend and received doubles of many things for baby. Most of the gifts we received did not include a gift receipt. I wasn't even certain where some things were purchased from. So, I took 3 items to Burlington today to check if they were purchased there, and so I could hopefully get a store credit, for something I could actually use for my son. The sales associate was very rude to me!! She made me feel like a criminal...like I was trying to scam them or something. She asked me if I had the receipt. I told her no they were a gift. She said she had to get a manager and she probably wouldn't approve it without a receipt. She walked away grumbling, and I was just shocked by her disapproving tone and dirty looks she was shooting at me. I mean doesn't anyone take pride in their job in "customer service" anymore. Try to have some empathy lady!! I am about to pop out my first child, and I just want to get these things taken care of, before he's born!! I don't want to lug items around from store to store seeking money for them...but I would like to be able to find something else useful for my baby!!! Anyway, the manager finally came over after about 7-10 min. The associate starting explaining to her my situation...with that look on her face, and tone in her voice!!! I asked her to please stop talking to me because she was being rude to me. The manager seemed a little more understanding. Just told me to get receipt or if my friend who purchased it would bring their credit card. So I placed the items back in the cart to take back to my car. Then they made me feel like a criminal again because the manager was like...you're going to take the cart? Well they are heavy and I'm pregnant, is what I was thinking, but I just grabbed the items and carried them all out to my car. The manager did not offer to help me or even open the door for me!!! I would like to first say that I have been coming to this location for eight years and have never really had any issue until today. Not only was my customer service horrible but I had to whitness someone who has services my family for years be let go. This particular gentleman had made an effort to remember my family after years of shopping at this location and provided one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. While at checkout the particular cashier checking us out had the worst attitude I've ever experienced. She first started by making me hold on to my items as the 6 outfits sitting in front of her on the 6ft x 3ft counter were too overwhelming to scan with the addition of my other items. Secondly she huffed, puffed, and grunted the entire time to let me know of the great inconvenience I had caused her by selecting this store to shop at. And finally the other cashier to my left spent a great majority of her time commenting negatively regarding the way that the girl on the other register had dressed. The girl on the other register was dressed very professionaly and I believe that the 150 pounds of difference in weight had a lot to do with it. It's really upsetting to see someone so awesome being let go while seone so mediocre is left to service customers. The obvious negative direction of the current management has forced me to take my business elsewhere. read more

I love this store! There's always great finds even name brands! Our most recent treasures found is a giant art piece for the living room at a steal! It took me almost a year to find something I liked to tie our living room together. I was willing to spend hundreds but found something here for $35! The staff is always super nice. The store is very large and organized compared to other Burlingtons. This one is bigger than San Marcos but not as big as Laguna Niguel. They have great hours and returns are easy. read more

I personally LOVE this store out of all the Burlington's near me. In reality the Vista one would be closer to me but I just love this location better. I always find a wide selection here in this store and it is always clean! I love the service here and the employees are always willing to help. They always have a huge clearance rack and you find really good deals in there. My family and I go to church so we always come here for suits! read more

You know, I am not that big of a fan for shopping but since I needed a jacket and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg, I decided to try this place out. Let me tell you, it is huge! And don't let the name fool you, they have a ton more than just jackets (even though they have a large selection of these too). They have linens, housewares, shoes, jackets, clothes... You kind of get that "Ross" or "Marshall's" type of feel from the store but I usually have to dig pretty hard to find items that I want to purchase at those stores. Burlington Coat Factory had more items that I wanted to try on than didn't when I picked them off of the rack. I was with my Mom and Husband this time around and we were there specifically for jackets but next time I am wanting a few cute tops or shoes or decorations for the house, I am going to try back here. We were even able to pick up a little house warming present for a friend on our way to the cash register. I dug it and will for sure go back. read more

Don't go here expecting any kind of customer service! I had to make a quick return and it took two cashiers and one disgruntled "supervisor" Kim, to try and solve the mystery of how to return 3 items when both a gift card and cash were used. Twenty minutes later, I ended up just asking for my unusable items and receipt back because I couldn't keep my kids waiting any longer. Such a joke. read more

This is the absolute worst Burlington I've ever been to!! First, this store has no air condition!! Talk about hot!! I happen to come here on a 80 degree day and when I walked into the store it felt like I was going to melt. All they had was a fan at the cashier's desk. I tried to look at some of the cookware (which was very nice which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1) but it was so hot I couldn't even breathe, and had to leave. From the time I walked in until the time I left, not a single person who worked in the store greeted me (they probably were so hot they couldn't speak). I do not recommend this store, at least until they fix the AC. read more

However, the luggage, household goods, and baby stuff is name brand and a good deal. I came to return an item which I purchased using my credit card. BOTH employees working there told me that because I used a credit card (instead of a debit or cash), they could only return the money to me via gift card or store credit. The back of the receipt clearly states: "Charge card purchases will be credited to the card used in the original transaction." Um, isn't this illegal and considered fraud? I don't really care that they had to give me store credit, I'm more upset that the employees straight up lied to me and my husband about the return. read more

There was a lady working on the floor tonight that was very rude to me. She approached me as I was looking at an item and asked me if I was going to buy it in a very rude way. Also she took my shopping cart away as I was looking at more items. I told her that was my cart and she didn't even say anything just left and left some items she had put in my cart there. This is one of the best Burlingtons in San Diego. Over the years, I've found that Burlington has fewer and fewer coats and lots more clothes, purses, slippers, jewelry and other stuff. My son needed (wanted) a leather bomber jacket in the summer and we looked everywhere in town. Then we tried this location and *whamo* hit the jackpot - beautiful jacket with quilted satin lining and cell phone pocket. Nice detailing and stitching, name brand, wool colar. And it was only $39.99...WHAT?!?! We also picked up some board shorts and a tank. Great prices, nice selection, clean store. Nice staff and easy parking. read more

Found a beach cabana umbrella, there were about three. None had a tag, so we went to the register. They weren't able to scan it. The supervisor went to check and told us it was $19.99, when they gave the cashier the sku number it came up as $24.99. We said fine, but upon looking at the description it said planter. We asked why, she's like that's the only thing she found with the same price, we were like wait how did she come up with this number. Also, this is a work related purchase so the description has to be accurate for reimbursement purposes, so she goes fine and calls the supervisor. Then we are told we have an umbrella sku for $34 if that's what you want....We just said forget it, there was no I'm sorry, let us price match it, nothing. read more

I am a bit disappointed. I was looking for a pair of slacks, and only found 2 ratty pair. I asked for assistance but none came. Finally I decided to get a pair of cargo pants. I looked at 4 in 3 different label sizes. They were all the same measured size. Luckily they fit and I could use my Merchandise Claim Certificate. Not worth the trip. read more

Between my friend and I, this location had us on hold a combined 40 minutes only to have someone tell us they had no idea what we were asking for - shin guards for soccer - said it was their first day, then told us they didn't have it. This is the first Burlington Coat Factory I have ever been in and I was very impressed with the selection and size! It is like a TJ Maxx or Ross but wayy bigger! Prices are very reasonable. Getting ready for baby on a budget! Their Baby Depot is going to be a huge lifesaver. I have waited till the last minute and started stressing that I have no clothes for baby! So I just bought a crap-load of pink: t-shirts, swaddle blankets, socks, mitts, bath towels and wash cloths. Now I feel much better. And I don't feel guilty that baby will probably grow out of these so fast, mainly because I saved so much $$ buying them here. And the lady at the checkout took a look at my belly, asking how far along I was...then she handed me a couple of extra 20% off coupons in case I still needed to buy any big ticket items. I went in here on a Friday night right before 9pm (they close at 9:30) to scope out the maternity section. They had one rack of maternity clothes, no great tops, but a surprising selection of pants and shorts! Found my first pair of maternity jeans here and they look and feel great and they were $17 bucks! The women at the front were very friendly and I didn't spend much time walking around, but this place is HUGE. I am sure I could spend some time looking for great finds. read more

Burlington is for high class shopper who loves high prices for every single item. We went there to accompany our friends who would like to back to their home country and need to buy some items. read more

For the most part it has a wide variety of dress up clothes, coats, shoes, and accessories if you like to look nice. Their store usually looks a bit unorganized, but that is expected when every customer in there are trying on 5-10 different coats on with putting them back where they came from. Prices are good and good variety of brand name items. read more
