This was one of those restaurants that looked really good but didn't deliver. I had the spaghetti grilled cheese and my friend had the crispy pork sandwich. Neither looked anything like the picture that was on the website. I recognized my dish because of the spaghetti but both of us went up on the website to look at the pork sandwich to see if there was any resemblance to the picture compared to what was delivered. There was no resemblance. Here is the thing, we like to go out to get something that we wouldn't necessarily had at home. Putting spiced up spaghetti and mozzarella cheese on a bun is something we all can do. Same thing with the pork and chicharon chips on top. Food was great! My daughter had the Soufflé pancakes and they were SO fluffy! My husband had the Avocado toast and it looked amazing! My son had the breakfast burrito which looked good but I didn't get to try it. I had the eggs with biscuits and gravy! The biscuits were fluffy but slightly crunchy with a delicious peppery gravy. We tried Burnt Crumbs for the first time today, and were pleasantly surprised. The service was quick and efficient, even with a long line. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering and really enjoyed both items. We got the breakfast quesadilla with bacon, and the berry soufflé pancakes. They didn't really taste like pancakes, but like a fluffy moist dessert with berries and cream. So yummy. The quesadilla was also delicious and came with three salsas on the side. I wasn't sure how the food was going to turn out since it was not a sit in dining restaurant. However the servers brought our food out in a timely manner at the tables outside the restaurant. The carne asada fries were good and the pancake soufflé was delicious. The only thing that we didn't like was the pastrami hash. It was bland and dry. The egg and cheese biscuit had gravy in it. Came here to try the Soufflé pancakes dish. I ordered a Berry Compote pancake and my SO purchased a breakfast sandwich that comes with potatoes. The pancakes come in pairs with whipped cream, berry Compote sauce and a mint to garnish. It is delicious, airy, and leaving more to be desired- literally. If you have a huge appetite, this will not fill you up. I was still hungry afterward and literally wanted more, but at $12 for two pancakes, it is steep in comparison to their other brunch items. The breakfast sandwich was eggs, cheese, and bacon with a side of their home cut potatoes. Again, the food was delicious and my SO found himself full from his meal. So much that he couldn't finish some of his potatoes- lucky me?! I will not consider getting the pancakes again, but something else entirely. 4.5 SOOOOOOOOLID! I'm a big fan of the Burnt group, Burnt Truck, Burntzilla and now Burnt Crumbs. I was beyond excited when they announced their second location last year for Irvine. That should've been their first since they seem to be based in Irvine and I'm selfish, I'm still too afraid to visit that trendy Pacific city development in HB LOL. Anywho, the service at all their establishments have always been stellar, so when we walk in we're greeted and if you're know, the staff is knowledgeable about the menu. Now I've only had a few things, most of the time their specials. The only thing I've had on their staple menu was that spaghetti grilled cheese and housemade chips. It's CRAAAAAACK. It's worth the hype and I don't know why I haven't ordered another since earlier this year LOL. Their chips are so good we always get 2 orders of them. Dipping it in their whipped sauce taste like a true chips and dish bowl. We've had their seasonal items like Chinese chicken salad toast, Thanksgiving toast and their Turkey sandwich. Which all have been stellar and I can't wait til they bring back the Thanksgiving toast. It's almost as good if not better than their Thanksgiving slider at Burntzilla DROOOOOOOL. I still want to try their Pastrami, Southern Fried chicken sandwich and that juicy looking House burger mmmmm. Maybe I'll pay them a visit this week. Randomly decided to try this place since the Irvine Company's restaurant book had a buy one get one free coupon for their sandwiches. It's a bit on the pricier side, but definitely some of the better sandwiches I've had. We ordered the reuben ($10) and the fried chicken ($9.50), and both were equally great. My experience with pastrami sandwiches is that they tend to be on the heavier side, but for some odd reason, this one didn't feel heavy at all. Also, the fried chicken sandwich was so fresh and crispy. It comes in a biscuit with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a sriracha honey sauce. Each component to this sandwich was perfect. I especially liked the sauce. Definitely has a kick, but it goes great with the fried chicken. If you take the sandwich to-go, I recommend you get the gravy and the sauce on the side so the chicken and biscuit don't get soggy. These sandwiches are definitely up there on my list of best sandwiches. The bogo coupon made it extremely worth it so if you have that book, definitely take advantage of it! read more

Amazing menu here. Something for everyone.. from an arugula salad to fried rice. The main attraction here though are the soufflé pancakes. It's like 2 little drops from heaven. Came for lunch and ordered the Southern Fried Chicken and Pork Belly Torta. They were both good! And I don't necessarily feel like my arteries are clogging on me. The siracha honey isn't that powerful so if you are thinking of ordering it but can't handle too much spice I think you'll be fine. My spice tolerance max is corn salsa at chipotle and even then sometimes I sweat a bit. The border of the biscuit was nice and crispy as well as the pork belly. The Peanut Butter And Jelly is probably my favorite thing on Burnt's menu! It is a good desert sandwich. My husband and I got a burger and a chicken sandwich with the peanut butter and jelly and we got so full we had to take the PB &J home. I don't understand the hype. Food was okay good, but certainly nothing to go telling your friends/family about. I had the Breakfast Burrito with Carne Asada, which seems to be one of their most popular items on the menu. I really appreciated the fact that they give you a lot of meat in your burrito, whereas most places just fill it with 50% potato. Asada itself was very bland though, reminded me of something you'd get from a fast food taqueria chain. Eggs and potatoes were cooked well. Their salsa was very liquidy and disappointing. Portion sizes and menu prices are good. Service was "meh". Seems like they probably always have a big line, lots of kids and families here, so if that Disneyland style stand around ain't your vibe, this may not be your place. Seating arrangement is very sterile, uninteresting (very Irvine company), no character at all. I would give this place one more visit, just to try out there soufflé, but I really don't have high expectations. read more
