I went with my friends yesterday to Burt and Maxs. There was a delay in getting us seated even with reservations for about 10 minutes. The restaurant itself was attractive and roomy. Once we were seated we then ordered lunch. I ordered an omelet special of mushroom's and onions which was quite good. The portion size was about average, Everyone seemed to like there food. There was a special brunch menu that has some interesting items. Service was very good and was responsive. The price to value ratio here is about average for this type of restaurant. All in all this was a very good experience and I look forward to returning in the near future. read more

This is not gourmet dining. It is however a wonderful neighborhood restaurant and bar where everyone knows MY name. Good food and reasonable prices. Happy Hour at the bar ONLY is 1/2 price. My groups of 8-12 friends have lunch every Friday greeted by friendly corny jokes from Annie the bartender, our usual server Joey who knows our individual crazy requests, and the hostess with the mostest, Heather, who works to make our luncheon a pleasant experience. The 10 for $10 lunch menu is now 12 for $12 with a few new items. Everyone finds something they like and including beverage this price is sensational. The roasted tomato soup is a favorite. Burgers. This place might be my new favorite in Delray Market Place. I went there with my big butt pumpkin (embarrassing nicknames need to be popular again) aka Samarah. We seriously had a pumpkingly glowing sweet experience. The restaurant smelled like fall, don't tell me I'm crazy (or maybe I am) but the wood and decor with the restaurant warm aroma , lingered my mind into beginning of fall with Burt & Max's. The server was great, he quickly brought cornbread and cream/butter and this complimentary element is delicious. I'm still craving some cornbread for breakfast! We decided to share the Mediterranean sampler, b.b pumpkin and I were so happy with our choice because we got to sample our favorite Mediterranean ingredients into one sampler. The naan bread was decent in the sampler, a bit dry but other items with it were great such as the hummus/Greek salad/Mediterranean style eggplant medley etc. For entree we ordered Eggplant Parmesan, it was beautifully presented with layers of eggplants, spinach, parmesan and pasta on the side. By the time we were finished, we didn't try the dessert but there is always a next time at Burt and Max's.~ read more

My family was visiting from NY and chose to eat dinner at Burt and Max's, not realizing it's my favorite restaurant. With a reservation we were seated upon our arrival. They loved the food. Two granddaughters are vegetarian and gluten free. They were both happy with many options. I wasn't very hungry so ordered lettuce wraps with shrimp. They are always delicious. Hello! I dined there last evening while visiting my parents in Florida. They are frequent diners at your restaurant and I see why. First of all, our server Douglas was amazing. He was attentive, hospitable, professional, and quite funny. All of the young men bringing out the food were polite and clearly well trained. The best part was the food. Delicious!! We had brunch today at Burt and Max's. We were a party of 10. The food was very good, especially the avocado toast and Belgian waffles. Finally back to Florida and of course we had to stop in to our favorite spot. Sunday brunch was terrific. We got there nice and early and we were greeted with open arms by none other than Joey. We have been keeping distance since the pandemic but couldn't resist a hug He showed us to his section and it happened to be the same booth we sat at last visit. He asked if we wanted our usual pineapple mimosas. Now be it, it's been several months and he still remembered what we drink. We had some onion dumplings to start then chorizo tacos to share then blintzes. Nothing changed. Quality of food gets an A and service gets an a++++. We had a delicious dinner tonight at Burt And Max in Delray Market Place. The chicken quesadilla was exceptionally good and our waitress Arielle was very special. The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. In previous times I've had their hamburgers which are wonderful and for lunch the other day I had a bacon cheeseburger that was the best I've ever had. I have dined here several times and each time it is as good as I remembered. Great menu choices. Awesome salad selections. If you feel like eating a burger, this is the place. Cooked to perfection, taste is delicious and the sides are always fresh. The ultimate appetizer is the grilled Brussels sprouts that are filled with outstanding flavor. This place was jammed. However, I don't see the attraction The menu is a riff on everything. I chose the NY strip steak. It looked like something you would get in a diner about a half inch thick and obviously cooked on a flat top. Also if interest the price was listed as MP gee I thought that was the speed limit in fl. Our waiter was attentive until he wasn't. The service and the food definitely are not commensurate with the prices. The parking is non existent $6.00 for valet. I had a really nice dinner and overall a great experience at Burt & Max's. The salmon was really delicious with the asparagus and potatoes nice portions. We also enjoyed the spinach dip and Brussel sprouts both were excellent and even better yet the drinks were on point from our bartender Kailee and exceptional service from Bryson they both made our dining experience fantastic!
