We used Burtech several years ago and they were great. We needed two sets of bathroom faucets installed, so we called them again. Gino called 30 minutes before arrival (as scheduled) and arrived on time. It seems I did not order the valve units I needed to complete the installation (which I discovered are sold separately at Lowes). Gino managed to locate two sets, went off to get them, and charged us a fair price for them. They very kindly did not change the original estimate, even though an extra hour or so was incurred because of the need for the extra components. I had a 10+ year old water heater than needed to be replaced. Staff and techs were friendly, and were able to come the next day. The price seemed fair for the type of work they were doing and bringing everything up to code. My only gripe is that apparently there's a tankless water heater option that has a very generous rebate; which they told me after the water heater was installed. I don't know if I would've actually saved money since they can be quite expensive, but it would have been nice to know my options ahead of time. We've had a good run with plumbers. While in San Diego, our hot water would not come out of the shower, but cold water would. We looked at Yelp and saw Burtech had good reviews. We have them a call, and they could be here the same day. They also do not charge a fee to come out, which was a plus. Steven reached out to us and had a good idea of the problem (shower cartridge) before he arrived. Our shower gave him a decent fight, but Steven won. I will add that Steven is very nice. Called Burtech on Monday morning. They had a technician to my house within the hour. Kyle located the slab leak under the water heater. $150 to cut into the wall. About an hour later Bill and Barry came out to locate the leak ($450 for leak detection). Very quick turnaround. They had me scheduled in no time. Danny called me at 7:45 on Wednesday to give me his ETA. Showed up early. Very good communication. He rerouted the pipes to bypass the slab leak. Took extra care to make cuts for easy drywall repairs. Quality workmanship. ($2200) In the end, I'm very satisfied with Burtech. The prices seem in line with the industry as far as I know. I am really impressed with Burtech - they have clearly earned their awesome Yelp ratings. I called about a stuck object in my toilet that I'd already tried multiple times by myself. Thankfully this is not our only toilet, so when I was told it was going to be 24 hrs it wasn't a big deal. Then I got a call almost immediately after, saying they could actually make it out in less than an hour. Great! Kyle arrived on time and was really friendly and professional. While he was fixing my issue (one of the kids flushed a quarter roll of TP, including the cardboard tube), he was really personable, asking about my kids and talking about his own. Clean out my clogged kitchen sink (just started renting this place) for the advertised price of $79 for a drain cleaning. It took about an hour total to disassemble the piping, clean up everything, and put it back together. The smell was foul and so too were the contents he cleaned out. Nico took care of me and was very professional and pleasant. I had another company come out the day prior - Elite Rooter San Diego - and the person they sent out said they weren't comfortable using a drain snake for my clean out (which Nico used and said would be absolutely just fine, which he proved to be the case). My two Kitchen sinks were clogged last week. I called some other company to fix it. That company gave an estimates of $550 to fix the problem. They snaked and even hydro-jetted the pipes. After two half-day work , the main sink is fixed but the island one is still clogged. I paid $275 for the job that was half done. The technician told me that they will have to come in again in three days and charge an additional $550 to fix the second sink. I disagreed and called Burtech instead because of their good reviews. My experience with Burtech is especially pleasant. First over the phone the lady clearly told me that if the problem can be fixed by using snake then the cost will be $125. If hydro-jetting is needed then the cost will be $270. The technician came in the next day and told me with confidence that only snake is needed for a cost of $125. He spent less than half an hour and the problem is fixed. No wonder Burtech almost got a 4.9 review. We noticed a leak on the outside of our condo. I contacted Burtech Plumbing company late last night and Bill immediately responded to my request, gathered all my details and noted they would call me in the morning. As promised, they called me in the morning and sent over Steven to check out our issue at noon. Steven did a fantastic job in finding the root of the problem within minutes (i.e. broken drain pipe) and then repairing the pipe shortly after. He also had to deal with my temporary stupidity of running the dishwasher before he came, which resulted in hot water falling on him while he was in the middle of the repair. I apologized profusely over this mistake and he was so very nice and professional through that situation. Since we were in need of restoration, he also put us in contact with a great and honest company. All in all, I am very happy.
