Exceptional experience! Great menu and recommendations! Extraordinary staff. I wish we had a Burtons in Cleveland!!!

Really love the atmosphere here. Indoors is very chill and nicely decorated; outside is in the shade in the evenings and is really lovely on nice evenings. The menu has good options and they always have a special menu with seasonal/temporary offerings. I've now been four times - three times for dinner and once for brunch, and I've liked everything I've ordered. The only thing that prevents me from giving five stars is the service, which can be spotty, especially outside. One visit we had to remind the waiter not only that we'd ordered an appetizer, but what appetizer we had ordered. Definitely recommend though as I think the service will improve after the adjustment period of opening. read more

I've been to Burton's a handful of times. Dinner and Happy Hour. The seating in the dining area is good and spacious. They have a large bar area with complimentary homeade chips (pretty good). The food is very good. It comes hot and fresh. From the scallop risotto to filet mignon the entrees are good with tempting daily selections. They also have some very good appetizers like the general tso cauliflower. Desserts are good to (not amazing). The only areas I wish they would improve are their cocktail arent very strong (most run you $12). I also wish they had fresh bread. For the prices charged, that should warrant complimentary bread. All said and done, i think the prices,especially for the cuts of meat are a little bit higher than they should be. But I'll be a repeat customer! read more

Very nice place and the portions were good. Our server was very awesome and attentive. The reason for my 3 stars are based on my selection, I ordered the Lobster and shrimp pasta. The seafood portions were great, and food was delivered hot , but where it all went wrong was the flavoring. I mean come on the plate looked soo appetizing but when you get food that lacks appropriate seasoning in the meat and sauce it's just a let down. Good food, service and a whole menu for Gluten Free! How many places can you say that about?

So I've been here a few times, and not once have I had a bad time. You can dress casual here, as it is not fancy. The times that I have been here, I've ordered their seafood risotto, and chicken sandwich and both were really good. I came the other night for my dads birthday and I ordered the crab crusted haddock with the spinach, Parmesan risotto and brussel sprouts as my sides while my brother ordered the chicken carbonara. I really enjoyed both entrees, however I did happen to like my brothers carbonara a little more! My parents also ordered the crab crusted haddock, but split it between them and it was still a huge portion! Now comes for dessert, I got the chocolate cake while my dad ordered the creme brûlée. I typically don't like creme brûlée because I find it to be too sweet and too eggy, however it happened to be my favorite part of the meal and probably the best creme brûlée I've ever had! First off I would just like to say, this places food was poppin. I came here with 9 of my co workers for lunch on a Friday. We found seating pretty quick despite it being prime lunch time. The waiters were very nice and did a great job keeping our drinks full and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. This restaurant has a wide selection of foods and caters to any sort of food allergy or restriction you may have. I ordered the lobster and shrimp pasta for 19 dollars. It was a small portion, but it came with a lot of shrimp and lobster. The shrimp and lobster were very juicy and cooked perfectly and the linguini came with a wonderful tomato sauce that coated each noodle perfectly. Some of my coworkers got he other dishes and found them to be great as well, but the fries were not really up to par in my opinion. They tasted a bit too dry. Overall, this is not somewhere I could go to everyday, because of the price, but for a once in a while lunch out with some friends, it's perfect. read more

My husband and I have walked in to the restaurant and asked to be seated at a booth instead of table. Although the restaurant was empty and no reservation sign was on other areas, the person who was seating us refused to even check if any availability and kept saying all is reserved. I have asked for a small booth at the bar and he still looked at me and try to convince me that is taken. I have came to his place before multiple times and refereed my friends and this was my last time visiting and will make sure to tell everyone about this very strange, yet unprofessional customer service! read more

I was immediately impressed by the very polite young man who welcomed us and seated us. Very refreshing. I like the decor, high ceilings and industrial look. Nice bar with lots of TVs. Plenty of windows and natural light. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. My husband had a hedonistic burger (yum!) and I had the General Tso's Chicken "bowl" which was amazing. We ate dinner on the patio last week and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Service: Friendly, jovial, attentive. The waitress was very helpful when we told her that one of us had celiac disease and needed gluten-free options. She assured us that everything was prepared in a manner to avoid cross-contamination. When she (and a man who I think was the manager) brought out each item, they emphasized that they were gluten free. Only downside to the service was that it was a little slow and they forgot to bring out one item, but not a big deal--and they were apologetic. Atmosphere: Clean, well-spaced tables with plenty of shade provided by umbrellas. Food: Overall very good. Salmon romesco: the fish was nicely-cooked and combined with a nicely-balanced romesco sauce. The brocolli that came with it was a bit overcooked, but seasoned well. Caesar salad with Salmon: again fish was nicely-cooked, though the salad was swimming in dressing. Gluten-free Penne Carbonara with Shrimp: flavorful--could barely tell that the pasta was gluten-free. Solid cocktails, too. Decided on Burton's for lunch today. No line no waiting we were able to get seated quickly! Courtney was very attentive and informative!!! She went over the specials and explained the concept of all fresh ingredients and made to order meals. Our calamari was good but not very flavorful. The breading did not have a lot of seasoning. The addition of the breaded peppers gave it an extra oomph! My California Chicken sandwich was great with parm and garlic fries! read more

Finally went to the new restaurants in Sterling as the new shopping center has been open for several months but we haven't been to either Burton's or Ocean Blue. Upon entering it is a very nice restaurant with attractive decor...they spent a pretty penny on this place for sure. They have specials each day in addition to an extensive menu with apps, entrees, salads and sandwiches. Burton's is definitely on the expensive side. Lunch entrees run in the $16-$20+ range which is pretty expensive unless you are on a business expense account. Even sandwiches are closer to $15 dollars. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Very professional and pleasant. I ordered the crusted haddock with crab and the wife ordered the Paella which was a special. Both dishes were very good. The haddock came with a vegetable rice pilaf which was very good. The Paella comes with a chimmichurri sauce that is packed with cilantro...glad we asked so we got it in the side. The portions are a bit on the smaller side considering the price. So, overall I would definitely go back and try other dishes. Excellent service and very good food. The drawbacks are the cost and portion size. I hope Burton's can survive in Sterling with the high prices as they are definitely a good addition to the dining scene. read more

This place is amazing! They are so wonderful with their attention to detail regarding food allergies. I could eat without worry. And the food was amazing - the best burger I've ever tasted! The service was unparalleled. Steven quickly became one of our favorite people - he knows all the great food suggestions as well as awesome things in the area (we recently moved to Sterling). This was our (husband and I) first time eating here but it is the first of what will be many meals at Burtons. Had to edit to include the most delicious and enjoyable Key-lime pie as well as the incredibly personable General Manager, Kris. He brought both my burger and the Key-lime pie to our table, and we thought he was great! read more

Delicious! Never heard of this place but my boyfriend found it on Yelp for my birthday dinner. Really great service - our server provided a nice intro about the restaurant, always cleared out the table when seeing empty plates, brought out drinks before empty, just really attentive service. The Mediterranean salad same with an oregano vinaigrette which was surprisingly good. The filet mignon was so good - rich flavor and cooked at a perfect medium rare. The double baked potato was delicious and the broccoli was good as well. My friend was very happy with the wine pour (no one likes a skimpy glass of wine). My friends loved their meals (especially my gf who was able to substitute fish street tacos with chicken). They seemed open to customizing your meal and offered a great experience. Worst Burtons grill and bar I've been to. The hosts didn't offer me a gluten free menu and that's something I admire from Burtons. I've been in the Charlottesville and VA beach and they were terrific. The server I had was nice and friendly, Dan. When my food came out I was surprised about how little the quantity was. I talked to one of the managers named Fred and he seem not to care. He told me this is a 5 star restaurant and if I don't have the money I should go to Wendy's right up the street. I left and paid for my food. I will never return to That place. Especially on the weekends, the managers don't know how to run a business on those days. Disappointed read more

My dad had checked this place out and he recommended it and we had an out of town friend staying with us for the night so I thought this would be a good place to try since it was nearby. Word of warning as I'm not super well versed in the shopping center where Burtons resides, the entrance is in a courtyard area that faces the Colada Shop, and its next door to Ocean Blue. The décor was really nice homey but upscale looking (my dad did warn me it was kinda pricey) and it was. Everything is made fresh and they pride themselves on using fresh ingredients for both food and drink. The menu, it had just enough options but wasn't overwhelming also if you're on the Paleo diet they have a section for that, and they also have a menu for those who are gluten sensitive. They also have a kids menu so it is kid friendly as I did see some families there. My friend and I had the chicken risotto and my husband got the short rib grilled cheese. We got the half portion and I would have honestly given this place 5 stars but the half portion that was kinda pricey I think it was like $16-17 came in a small bowl, I was hungry and needed a little snack about an hour later. Although honestly the risotto was excellent and they did provide a good portion of chicken to balance the dish. I tried a bit of my husband's sandwich which he devoured, and said it was really good, I liked it but if I were to order it I'd probably asked for no pickled onions. I'm not a fan of pickled things besides savory pickles. I would certainly return for a meal or a drink here if I was looking for a nice dinner out with friends or a special occasion. Man what happened to this place? This used to be one of my favorite restaurants-- the food was always consistently good and the service was great. But in the past few months everything has really gone downhill. The last 2 times I got the bread, they've basically given me a tablespoons worth of pesto, tapenade, and butter. They used to give you a very generous amount of all three. The pesto used to be great but now it's 95% olive oil and 5% basil. The sweet potato fries were always one of my go to items with my meals but last time they weren't even cooked all the way through and the center of the fries were hard and almost crunchy. The fish used to be awesome but now it's just ok, seems like it's not as fresh as it used to be which is a turn off. Not sure what's happened over the last few months but there is a noticeable decline in the food taste and quality. For the prices they're charging, the food needs to be better than it currently is. Sorry to say I probably won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Very nice experience! My friend and I took our Dads out for dinner to Burtons. My father is wheelchair bound so ease of access ranked higher than food when choosing a restaurant. This is a place that covers many dining points. It's a great bar. It's fine for family dining. It's good for a late snack or happy hour. The menu is not too long, but covers most things we are all looking for. There are a few house specials, but in my mind not so special. Tuna apps are a disaster. Shrimp, skip it. But they do many things well: burgers, fish, steaks. Not on menu, but the best onion rings (strings they call them) in NOVA. I go often and enjoy each time. read more
