My partner went for the clear broth and I went for the bone broth and you couldn't go wrong with either. The clear is clean and pork-forward; the bone broth is creamy, rich, and deeply balanced. Either way, the soup is the star, and both bowls were loaded with tender fatty pork cuts. We also tried the dumplings, perfectly springy and light, stuffed with a pork tofu noodle mix. The kimchi leans umami-rich over fermented-acidic and could use a little more tang, but still solid overall. This is hands down the best Korean pork soup in the greater Seattle area and we will absolutely be back.

Finally got around to trying this new Korean spot! I came in on a Sunday for lunch and was sat immediately. The space is a little small, but feels airy and clean. I ordered the pork soup with rice and side of dumplings. The soup itself was super creamy and rich, but also pretty well seasoned? I think I would've preferred they keep it bland, and I can season it. Especially given that they have salt/pepper/chili at the table. There was a surprising amount of pork in the soup which was nice. It was just super nice and hearty. Dumplings were good as well. A liiiittle pricey per dump though. For the kimchi, I don't prefer fresh kimchi, so was a little sad about that. Overall, a really solid spot. I love places that specialize and only serve a couple things and this place does it pretty well! You bet I'll be back haha

Surprisingly no line on a Sunday night. Small cozy interior. Glad I got to try this place before it gets too busy! Ordered the pork gukbap, generous amount of meat and was very fresh and clean soup and already well seasoned. Also had some declicious and fresh kimchi. We were also able to try the mandu, which you could tell were definitely homemade! Suyuk was also declicious, and not too gamey, paired well with the sides that were provided. All of food was declicious and my friend who is korean said it was authentic and would come again! Staff were also friendly and nice!

I've been able to stop by twice since the opening week and both times have hit the spot on rainy days. The staff member has been kind and attentive on both visits. The pork soup with rice was good and hearty on both visits, and I appreciate the freshness of the kimchi side. On my last visit I was able to try the Sikhye and found it really tasty to finish off the meal. I'll be coming back here to see how this place grows since the menu items are still being stocked from what I understand.

i loveee pork gukbap so was really excited to see a dedicated soup store pop up in seattle!! we visited during opening week for dinner and our server mentioned they had a limited menu since they're still new but will have more items soon (like scallion pancake!) we ordered: - the dumplings: i really liked these!! the filling was meaty and flavorful, skin is chewy but not too thick, and the sauce it comes with is very good - pork soup w rice: generous portions of thick cut boiled pork and thin pork slices. served with fresh garlic, salt/pep, red seasoning paste on the side, so you can season to your liking. the broth was very creamy and clean :) - pork noodle soup: we thought this was going to be the same as the pork soup with rice (except with noodles), but we were wrong! this one came heavily seasoned already, and honestly tasted more rich/oily, similar to tonkotsu ramen. it was still yummy but not quite the same flavor profile as the gukbap if thats what you are craving overall a great, cozy experience and would love to be back!

Got there around 7:00pm on a random Friday. There was a line when we went that took about 25 minutes to get us sat. They took our order fairly quickly. We ordered two of the normal pork soup with rice and a ten piece dumpling. The dumplings were really good and clearly made by hand so we enjoyed it a lot. The soup was very good. I was impressed they got it pretty close to what I remember having in Busan. Not as deep but still very very good. They ran out of dumplings after our order and ran out of the pork soup with noodles as well as a warning to anyone who's reading this. Better to go earlier in the day if you want to guarantee supply. Price is on par with other Seattle restaurants which leans it on the high side. The inside looks good, I like that they made it look like a Korean restaurant you'd see Koreatown, LA. All in all this is a great addition to Seattle especially given the mediocre Korean food scene we have here. Hopefully we keep getting some more solid options like this. 4/5 due to wait and price. Would bump up to 5/5 if it wasn't for the wait.

Nice meal to warm the soul on a rainy day. I appreciated the jazz playing while I ate. The server was friendly too!

Pros: super clean, modern take/spin, friendly service, good (4/5 stars) food Cons: very small portioned and overly priced, incredibly loud music (to the point it almost made me lose my appetite-- can't enjoy my food if I can't converse with the company I'm with), no radish kimchi (just serves Napa kimchi). My family and I ordered the regular soup with rice, noodle soup, and 10pc mandu. Noodle soup was not as traditional-- think Japanese pork ramen broth and noodle. The regular soup offered more traditional flavors. Both dishes were small portioned. If we didn't order the mandu, we would have been hungry still... Mandu was good, they def gave home-made taste-- nothing spectacular or next level tho. So here's my thing: When I think of Busan Korean pork soup 되지국밥, I think of generous portioned street style bowl of soup and meat, as well as banchan(s), that I ate in Busan. This restaurant seemed to take on a more "lux" spin on it considering the location/atmosphere, presentation, and pricing. This place is super clean and modern in terms of presentation and flavor. Overall, considering terrible street parking in this location and their price, I wouldn't return unless I'm madly craving pork soup. However, this is a great place to introduce anyone to Korean pork soup and mandu.

It is set up like a cute korean style bar with small round tables which make sharing easier. They have a pretty good selection on their menu and we ordered a couple of items to share. The Rose Ttoekbokki with cheese was very yummy, but it kinda tasted like pasta with rice cakes instead of spaghetti. I think that is the point of this dish, so if you want a more traditional spicy flavor then get the other ttoekbokki option (spicy rice cakes). We still loved this one and the rice cakes were so chewy and delicious. The cheese corn was very yummy and exactly what you would expect. It pairs perfectly with the other dishes. My friends also shared the Seafood ramen and Beef bulgogi. They liked both dishes. One of our favorite things were the side dishes actually! The tofu was so yummy, and the bean sprouts were so crunchy and well seasoned. We even asked for extra! The only aspect that makes it difficult to come more often is the price point. Since the dishes are so big and shareable, it is easy to split amongst a group, but it is a little less affordable to come here for dinner and drinks.

We ordered: -Fish cake soup: pretty good, the soup had a good depth in flavor and I liked the variety in fish cake. Was a bit too thick and had too much batter - I like these to be more crispy and thin. Overall, a fun place for a casual Korean bar food.

Warmth, seasoning, and time gradually coaxes more richness from the bowl, so take your time and enjoy the process. One special shout out for the banchan. I was the one saying "hello" first and saying "how are you?" before the cashier said anything. Kind of awkward/standoffish but not a dealbreaker when the food is good. Most recently I had the kimchi jigae, which was relatively spicy, even when I asked for less spicy (and they said they could accommodate). I'd say it was like 2-3 stars. Flavor was great though and it was a decent portion (for $17) and satisfying. Also, a pretty wide range of menu options, despite it being a small place. There were 4 complimentary banchan dishes (napa kimchi, cucumber kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, and fish cakes). Note that I don't think there are free refills like other places... maybe you can ask but I didn't see anyone doing so. For 1-2 people, it's a relatively generous amount. Also, only certain dishes come with the banchan, so be sure to read the menu carefully if you are wanting the banchan.

I have dined here before so the interiors isn't too different just small changes. Let's jump to the food- I ordered the galbitang and it came with 10 different banchan. Which is a nice surprise since some restaurants aren't as generous in the banchan. The galbitang was so flavorful for a "clear" soup and the meat was tender. It also included a good portion of meat. I've tried galbitang at other places, but there was an umami that many didn't have. All the banchan were flavorful too, I thought the kimchi had a good balance as sometimes it can be a bit on the saltier side. Service was great too, the sever was friendly and checked often. When I went, it was just me then a couple arrived. There was a delay with their order so she provided some mandu on the house while their order was being prepared. Once they received their order, I heard the couple tell the sever that everything was very good multiple times- their food did look good! I recommend checking this place out especially with the new ownership. Menu looks similar from previous owners, but will for sure go back and try something else!
