    Pork Bone Broth with Rice
    Neel K.

Got here at 6:30 PM, waited about 50 minutes to get seated at 7:20 PM, and somehow by then they were out of noodles :( Although we weren't able to get the noodle soup, the pork bone broth and the steamed pork inside was actually extremely flavorful! For the price, I think its reasonable and certainly good quality. If you're on a budget or wanting more value-per-dollar-spent I'd skip the dumplings. The dumpling skin had a nice bite to them with a nice herbal touch within the filling, but I don't think they were $2 per dumpling kind of good. I think they need to work on their cooking speed, although 1 hour lines have become commonplace in Seattle I don't think I'd ever not consider that something that doesn't need to be improved upon. It's not like there was an insane amount of people there to warrant such a lengthy wait. Despite them also running out of noodles prior to prime dinner time on a Saturday night, I understand restaurants have mishaps so I'd still give Busan Jeong 5 stars solely carried by the very flavorful broth and reasonable pricing (for Seattle).

Really enjoyed Busan Jeong! We did have to wait about 35 minutes outside, so definitely expect a line if you go during a busy time. Luckily the food was worth the wait! I love that they specialize in gukbap because it's not something you find everywhere in Seattle. The broth was so good and comforting without being too heavy, and the pork was super tender. The kimchi and other sides were really good too. It's a pretty casual spot, but honestly that fits the food perfectly. Reminded me of something I'd eat in Korea and definitely hit the spot!

First time trying Busan Jeong in Cap Hill. Heard a lot of people saying great things about this place and it did not disappoint. Came with a friend and we got the milky and clear broth gukbap. Both were fantastic and you can taste how clean the clear broth one is. Surprisingly, there is also a good amount of meat in the gukbaps. We also got the dumplings and those were great too. Parking is terrible, as you can expect, for cap hill. There was no wait for us and we were able to sit down when we walked in, but while we were eating, a line slowly formed outside the door. Service was okay. There was one, maybe two servers? so service was kinda slow despite how busy it gets. Rating it a 4/5 but easily can be a 5/5 if service was a little better. Price is normal for cap hill but can maybe be cheaper.

Great little Korean soup spot. It's clean and the service is quick. Everything is made fresh and it came out pretty fast. Don't go expecting a large menu. They have about 4 similar soup options and hand made dumplings.

Wow I can see why there is a line here and that their pork bone broth soup was sold out. The service here was good, simple menu, the restaurant had a weird smell (smelt like urine? But smell went away when the food came of course. Anyways the portion sizes were good, pork was good quality and flavorful with broth and sauces. I highly recommend and would come back.

Came here with friends for lunch last Friday. Our plans were to dine somewhere else but we found out the other place was to go only. we had heard great things about this place so we decided to have lunch here. Two of us got the noodle pork noodle soup, one had the clear broth and the other had Soondea Pork Soup With Rice. The broths were delicious the noodle dish comes with a garlic chive oil in it with a nice.jammy egg. Noodles were perfectly cooked not over done. Looking forward to trying the clear broth next time. We all finished our dishes. Had a few dumplings leftover. Nice clean streamline decor. All utensils and condiments are o. The table. Service was quick.

Busan Jeong is a small Korean restaurant that always seems to have a line, so I was excited to finally try it. They were unfortunately sold out of the pork bone broth when I went, so I got the clear pork soup with rice. I really enjoyed it when it first came out. The broth was comforting and the pork was tender and flavorful. As I ate though, the pork got a little tougher, but that's expected given they serve it to you in a hot stone pot. The fresh kimchi was really good and had a nice bite to it.

I loved this place! Located in the northern part of Capitol Hill, it isn't too in the midst of the hustle bustle and they have such a nice indoor space. The tables are clean and well spread out, and the vibe inside is really nice. The menu is limited since they specialize in the gukbap. I got the classic pork soup with rice, and we also had an order of the dumplings to share. They give you a couple of kimchi dishes too, and all the seasonings you need so you can add them to your soup. The portions are generous, and it was so delicious! The broth tasted rich yet light and clean, and there were plenty of different cuts of pork inside. It paired so well with the kimchi and rice, and was a hearty yet not too heavy meal. I also liked the dumplings as they clearly felt homemade, but I didn't think they were anything too special flavor wise. Worth trying though! I'd definitely be back whenever I'm craving a nice bowl of soup and rice!

We randomly decided to stop by for dinner on a Friday night ~7pm and sheeeeesh we barely made the cut fam. There were maybe 8 parties in front of us in line, which ended up being a 30min wait--not bad tbh. We felt hella bad bc 25min in a worker came out to post a "sold out" sign and notify the last half of the line that they wouldn't be able to serve them today. Aka even tho they close at 10pm, they sold out before 8pm yall! Keep that in mind bc I know driving down to this area and finding parking can be a bit of a hassle lol. But yooo as a Korean... I'd say this place was pretty fire. I just had okdongshik in Hawaii and this place was just as good for gukbap. There was a solid amount of pork in the soup, and the broth itself was so good, tbh ya don't even really need to add anything to it (but I'm a sucker for garlic and chives so yeah). The kimchi was also gassss, which I was pleasantly surprised by. It's just about $20 per gukbap. They also serve soondae and dumplings but yeah. Go check em out brahhh

I came at 7pm on a sunday and there was around a 30 minute wait. The restaurant isn't that big and it's a queue system instead of waitlist. This day they were out of the pork bone broth which was a bummer, but the clear pork broth was still tasty. The meat was very tender at the start, but as it cooked longer it started getting a little tough. I liked how spicy the kimchi was and the chili sauce for the meat was so good. I don't think I'd go out of my way for this, but I'm glad I tried it!

The pork Jowl was very tender and a great base for the sauces: - sweet soy sauce., sweet garlic, salty mini shrimp and my favorite - samjang. The kimchi banchan was fresh and I liked the radish one the best. The pork soup was very yummy and I would recommend. I got it with rice and that was a great hearty meal. I enjoyed the slices of pork also in the soup. Would come again. Also the server was quite nice and explained the sauces go with what and the inside of the place is very clean and gives more classic dark walnut and canvas older Korean style. Good aesthetics.

Busan Jeong is a newish Korean restaurant in North Cap Hill that specializes in guk bap or a traditional pork soup that is popular in the Busan region but also nationally. The menu is somewhat limited with variations of the soup, e,g. clear vs milky, with soondae or noodles. They also have pork belly (Bossam) and some really good boiled dumplings (mandu). The soup itself is solid, and I did not need to add any additional seasoning. And definitely get the mandu. There is limited banchan but the kimchi is made fresh and very good. Place gets quite busy but service is efficient.

Newly opened 2026 and already a long line outside! Classic busan style broth with slow cooked pork belly in different broths. Menu is simple yet the flavor is amazing. Pork belly is soft, and seasoned with their spicy sauce is second to none. It's especially comforting on a cold day!

Mandu was amazing, but everything else was absolutely mediocre

The fact that you can get the exact same thing on the fourth floor of a practically abandoned mall is pretty crazy. I had their 'famous' New England clam chowder, which comes with clams (obviously), bacon, cream, and herbs & spices. To be clear, I'm not a clam chowder expert, so take my word with a grain of salt. But this one is really damn good. It's the same quality across both locations, and they serve the same excellent chowder. There are just so many flavors in here. From the creaminess of the soup, to the saltiness of the clams and bacon, to the earthiness and nuttiness of the spices. Adding the oyster crackers in there gives it that extra textural contrast as well with the crunchiness. What also stands out is how fresh the clams feel - not like canned clams at all. The soup has the perfect consistency as well. This feels like a thoroughly engineered recipe that has taken many iterations to perfect, and I can see why this has supposedly won awards in New England-level competitions. When restaurants say things like "we won the best X in [city known for food X], often I roll my eyes, but this is the rare case where I actually believe that could happen. The 8oz cup cost around 10 bucks, which is a pretty solid deal. It's not a huge portion but also not small either. Overall, if you're looking for excellent clam chowder without waiting in any line, come to this location. 9/10
