I have had the veggie bowl from Bushfire a few times but this was my first time trying the salmon bowl. I was very impressed with the freshness and flavor of this dish. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked and topped with veggies and a small piece of well cooked salmon. The salmon was on the smaller/thin side but maybe I was being greedy on this day..:-). I ordered a side of grilled vegetables which were absolutely delectable and perfectly cooked. My tastebuds were singing after this meal and I was pleasantly satisfied. read more

I wish this place was closer to my home, it is AMAZING! Service - A+ Food - A+ Great food options for our entire family. Everyone ate everything and was happy, that never happens. It's all healthy quality food. The plates and bowls were all sustainable which is really important. Tons of Gluten free options and it's really clearly marked on the menu. I've been wanting to check this place out. It was pretty good. Staff was nice. Food wait time was expeditious. The ambiance in the evening was delightful as they had bulb string lights outside on a lovely night. The veggie bowl was fresh and delicious. I chose the teriyaki sauce and it did not disappoint. Small cozy place. Healthy alternative to fast food. We had a good experience food was fresh and service was excellent. We both got a different tri-tip sandwich and they couldn't have been more different. One had cheddar and BBQ sauce and the other had Chimichurri. The bread was good and the meat was awesome. Been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally went with my daughter. We went as they opened at around 11ish for lunch. My daughter had the Thai chicken Curry and I had the tri tip bowl. Good serving with veggie, grains or salad options. Clean eating at its best without feeling all greased up after a meal. Their chimichuri sauce inspired me to make my own. We have been here a number of times now and it's always great. We get the bowls. Between the base, meat, topping and side option, it's a huge amount of food for the price. A bowl is more than enough for one or two people. To date, I have had the chicken bowl, and the chicken is always cooked just right. The brussels sprouts and grilled veggies are solid, and we like the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Just tried the brisket and it was fork tender. It's close to our house and easy to order online. I'm sure it will continue to be a regular in our house. read more

The drink was thick but the flavor was still good. I got avocado toast with smoked salmon. This very small meal was 20$. I got a lox bagel and 4 huge pieces of smoked salmon with capers and a side of avocado a few days ago in Vegas on the strip and that was 16$. Sooooooo... how is this justifiable? Anyways, I also ordered a diet coke and they came out with a mini can. Talk about why this place is called "small" barn. Lol! The server stated the can is super small bc its only 2$. Thats just silly. Just get the bigger can and charge me 3 bucks for it. Thats fair in my humble opinion. 4$ for two mini cans is wonky to me. I was told that the last employee who pushed back ended up getting stuck with the worst shifts and eventually had their hours cut down to practically nothing until they quit. If that's true, it speaks volumes about the kind of environment this management team is creating. No one should feel intimidated or punished for standing up for themselves at work. It's disappointing to support a business where employees appear to be treated this way. Regardless of how the food tastes, I won't be returning knowing what's happening behind the counter. On a Friday lunch rush (11:30am), there were quite a bit of people already sitting and eating. I ordered the hatch chile honey chicken sandwich ($16.32 after tax). Holy smokes, it was delicious! The baked pretzel bun was unlike any I've had before. Buttery and pillowy on the inside and a crisp exterior. The chicken was perfectly cooked and paired well with the chili honey, which was perfectly balanced without being too sweet or too spicy. The grilled onions added extra sweetness and richness that contrasted nicely with the fresh tomato, avocado, and lettuce. Together, it made the perfect sandwich! Definitely a spot worth checking out. The food tasted high quality, and I'll absolutely stop by again when I'm back in town.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I happened to be at Trader Joes shopping for groceries, and after, when I was about to eat my new diet meal, a disgusting, plain rice paper, veggie, and tofu roll with peanut sauce, I noticed the sign "NOW OPEN" for Bushfire Grill, so I decided to walk in. I was greeted with a warm welcome by the staff, and stepped into a casual, yet elegant restaraunt with a nice vibe. I saw the menu and decided on the Chicken and Rib combo, with french fries and mac-n-cheese, and it was delicious. All pretty cheap, but great amount of food. On the chicken, I decided to try the suggested Peri-Peri Sauce, and it tasted great. Chicken was very juicy, and fresh, and the Peri-Peri brought a nice spicy sizzle that was really scrumcous. Then I bit into my ribs. Although the meat was a hint too soggy, the carmalization of the ribs were perfect. It wasn't too much sauce, and the sauce was spread evenly. It was sweet and the pork was very tender, very good. The best part of my meal was DEFINITELY the mac-n-cheese. I was excited to taste it because the crispy, breaded top looked great. IT WAS SO GOOD! I don't know what was in it, but it was delicious. It was crunchy on the top, cheesy on the inside, and it was just like homeade. That was truly one of the BEST mac-n-cheese I have ever had. The french fries were crispy outside, and soft in center and the salt and basil on the hot, crunchy fry tasted SUPERB with the Peri Peri Mayonnaise- some mixture of Peri Peri and Mayonnaise was great because the Peri Peri made the fry different, but the mayonnaise still toned down the Peri Peri so it wasn't too spicy, perfection at my feet. The foccaccia bread was seasoned nicley with fresh rosemary and thyme and it was a heavenly taste with the scallion sauce that brings a nice veggie, nutritousness to the bread. I ordered the salmon bowl and it comes with salmon, grilled veggies, and a base (rice or potatoes). The woman at the register asked me what I waned for a base and I asked her if I could substitute that with just a side of brussel sprouts. She then told me they can't because they won't put it on the bottom and that's where the base goes. I told her it doesn't matter it could be on the side and I can just have no base. So I look at the signature pad and she charged me $1.00 for the brussel sprouts and another $1.00 for grilled veggies. I told her that it already comes with grilled veggies and asked why I was paying another $1.00 for that and she said said "see so you do want grilled veggies? It's going to be on top." I told told her that was fine that it's going to be on top. I'm not sure what the point of confusion was because it doesn't matter if it's on top, bottom, side, or in my purse. By her logic, if I didn't want grilled veggies, why did she charge me for it then? I don't get what was so complicated. The salmon bowl comes with salmon, grilled veggies, and a base. I just don't want rice or potatoes as a base and am willing to pay $1.00 more for another veggie option to substitute that for rice. That's it. I'm still keeping the grilled veggies and salmon as a part of my order. She then corrected the extra dollar for grilled veggies and changed the brussel sprouts from $1.00 to $1.50 for brussel sprouts. It was $1.00 extra before? Is this her revenge for not understanding me? Why was it so complicated?? Why the revenge? Lol I've made this same order the first time I ate here which was a few weeks ago. I ordered in and loved the food. This time I ordered to go and honestly got half the portion that I got last time. Small piece of salmon and very little grilled veggies. Last time I came here I loved this place and now I feel ripped off. I paid $0.50 more this time to get half the food I got last time with the same exact order. read more

This is a small little hole in the wall type restaurant in the Trader Joes shopping center. It is kinda tucked away, and is connected to the Diamonds by Monet building. I had the Chicken and Rib plate with sides of vegetables and mashed potatoes with gravy. The Chicken and vegetables were good, no complaints with either one. However, the ribs and mashed potatoes were the highlights of the dish. The ribs were cooked perfectly, and were some of the most tender ribs I've ever had at a restaurant. They are fall off the bone, and the BBQ sauce on them had a great flavor. The mashed potatoes with gravy looked like your average, good tasting potatoes at first until I took a bite. WOW, these mashed potatoes are amazing...maybe even the best mashed potatoes I've ever had a restaurant. The strawberry water tasted great, and the ribs with mashed potatoes and gravy alone was good enough to give this place 5 stars. Highly recommended. read more

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience. Unfortunately, this restaurant is in poor condition. The atmosphere felt unclean, and I found hair in two of the meals I ordered -- one in the kids' noodle plate and another in the garlic fries. When I brought this to the cook's attention, he simply took the fries back and asked if I wanted a replacement, without offering an apology or refund. Additionally, I noticed food was being handled without gloves, such as bread being grabbed directly by hand. First time here, and we won't be returning. The chicken is pre grilled, then they just warm it up. The tables were all sticky and visible food on them from previous customers. The happy hour pours aren't full pours... neither my husband's beer nor my wine. While we can appreciate the attempt to serve healthier food options, the overall presentation missed the mark & if the health department made a surprise visit here today, the owners would be very unhappy with the scores. Also, the girl behind the counter was on a personal phone call on speaker phone, which only added to the questionable atmosphere. Would not recommend to friends or family. If you want GLUTEN FREE you should expect to get it. While the manager shoved Mac and cheese into to go boxes with a glove on and continually wiped that gloved hand on a dirty rag she then reaches over and prepares my GF salad with that dirty gluten glove hand and made my salad. Resturants need to be a little more cautious when handling food with " a filthy glove on" who's that protecting? Certainly not my stomach with or without gluten sensitivities. We would have asked for our money back but someone else had sent there food back twice while we were watching this disgusting food being made. And the manager was standing at their table . This place sucked. Haha this is why. I order salmon and rice with Brussels sprouts. They bring it out. Salmon is undercooked. And they give me no soy sauce. So I asked if I could have some soy sauce to eat with my undercooked salmon, and the waitress said she had none.... yet items of food are made with soy sauce as evidently displayed for your customers to see. I didn't appreciated the lack of attempt to help me more then just saying "don't got any". The least you could do is help me eat my crappy meal I paid $20 for. Not to mention the Brussels sprouts were hard and had no taste. Lame place, move on, use your money elsewhere. read more

I was in Temecula on business and just kind of stumbled onto this place. Menu was fantastic - very unique and I wasn't sure what to order. Ended up choosing the chicken with peri peri sauce - YUM. The mac & cheese is also yummy - and tastes like homemade. Also tried the quinoa salad even though it had beets in it so had to leave the beets behind. Wish Long Beach had a place like this. Something different like this would be nice. Wanted to try the gelato, but was way too full. I came across this new restaurant while making a shopping trip to Trader's Joes. Bushfire Grill is a small restaurant, but its expansive patio allows for big group gatherings. There seemed to be a post-soccer kids group hanging out after a game. The staff is SUPER engaging. I've been three times now, and each time I've been greeted with bold smiles and hellos. Here's the best part though: The Family packs to go!! 25 bucks will get you a whole chicken, 2 family side and these ridiculously good focaccia bread (you can smell the fresh herbs in the bread. I had a great experience at Bushfire Kitchen! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked -- everything tasted like it was made with real care. But what really stood out was the amazing service. Our server Lourdes (apologies if I spelled that wrong!) was so kind, attentive, and professional. She made sure we had everything we needed the entire time and made our visit even better with her friendly attitude. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. Let's be honest, Temecula is chock-full of chain and franchised restaurants... nothing too unique or exciting going on here in the culinary world. That is, until Bushfire Grill came along! Way to spice things up a little! I have been here multiple times and have not had one bad experience... the food is consistently fresh and delicious and the customer service is pretty good. ***Anyone who put less than 3 stars was probably just having a bad day and decided to take their frustration out via Yelp, instead of having a glass of wine like a normal person. read more

Went here with a group of friends. Burger was cold. My friend who was lactose ordered a burger without cheese and we told them about it... still waiting an extra hour for it to come out. In addition, my friend found a staple in his food and stopped eating when he started chewing it. When we asked to speak to a manager, the restaurant told us "he was too busy". My friend had to yell in the middle of the restaurant to get anyone to take care of the problem. Needless to say these health hazards make this a tragic place to visit. I have been here few times and I have to say their food was supper good! There food resembles something prepared by a top notch chef, but in a faster setting where you order at the counter, get a number and find a seat. You can even see some of the salads and side dishes available in their glass cases before you order. I've had the Chicken, Pulled Pork and Salmon. All had great flavor. This place is REALLY great! I, like many other yelpers, found this place by walking by Trader Joes today and decided to try it! I had the four side plate which included mashed potatoes, vegetables, mac and cheese and salad! My boyfriend had the rib and chicken combo and he loved it!! So this place is new and deserves all of us going to go there to eat!! They have organic and free range food!!! So good for us and the environment! Excellent food. I had Tri-tip w Greek salad and sweet potato fries! Michelle had avocado burger that tasted great. Quality food, cool vibe and hip music...as in perfect casual acoustic tone by artists I never heard before so food for my ears too! Only complaint is seating inside is tight...but all patrons and servers polite and considerate! Patio seating is heated! Quality food, a bit pricy but the value is there!
