I was excited a dimsum type place was opening up nearby but when I saw the price I was like 'whoa!' I was born and raised in OC/LA so I've had my fair share of dimsum but man I've never had to pay over $5 for 2 pieces of shui mai.. and $6 for 2 pieces of har gar. It's kind of outrageous. Anyways I still wanted to give Bushi Bushi a try. The food honestly wasn't that great. Mediocre at best.. My fiance and I had the shui mai, har gar, hk style pan fried chicken dumplings, pan fried bun, hot and sour soup, and some beef lo mein. And out of everything, the lo mein was the best. Very solid dishes. Yes it's a bit pricey but the quality is there. The Oranage chicken lunch was excellent great texture on the meat. Loved the XLB watch out DTF it's just as good! The siu mai were just ok the filling had a strong aftertaste maybe white pepper. Can skip the green beans drenched in sweet sticky sauce. The hor fun is top notch 5/5. Robot server was cool. I've always wanted to try dim sum and soup dumplings and heard this pace was the best. I was akward and weird and me and my bf chose this place to celebrate our one year anniversary. Everything was fantastic and even with me being awkward CYNTHIA took care of us and made us feel welcome. She was an amazing server that made our night better. I could've sworn I reviewed this the last time I was here. This place is excellent. Their Xiao Long Bao is terrific, their duck soup was amazing, and I tried duck in a pancake (like what you would make if you bought Peking Duck). That was my favorite and a great option if you didn't want to order a full duck. This time, I called ahead about an hour before, and they had a 1/2 duck available. It's very good. I went here with some friends on a week night since they have such high reviews on yelp. I am glad I read that you order by QR code before hand otherwise we would have sat there for a while not knowing what to do as no one came by to explain anything. I will mention that if you want appetizers to come out first then you need to split up your orders when ordering through the QR system. We ordered a whole bunch of things all at once and they come out when they are ready regardless if they are an appetizer or an entrée. We got an order of Crab Rangoon (2pcs) $3.50, Spring Rolls (2pcs) $3.00, Hot & Sour Soup (Small) $4.00, Scallion Pancakes $7.00, couple orders of Soup Dumplings (5pcs) $9.99 and the Soup Dumplings with Crab (5pcs) $11.99. Some items came out cold when they should have been hot. The spring rolls were okay but generic, the crab rangoon was just okay (cold), the scallion pancakes were overly crunchy and lacked substance (cold), i liked the hot & sour soup but it was generic, all of the dumplings tasted good but were in aluminum cups inside the steamer baskets that caused them to stick and could not easily grab them with chopsticks without puncturing them. Just to note, I did not order a Coke but one of my friends did and it is not fountain Coke but a bottle of Coke that they bring with a glass of ice. They have a food delivery robot but it only runs food, still have to have a person take the food off and put it on the table, seems completely pointless to me. Even if you are familiar with the ordering process the food here overall is meh. If you want to be completely unbothered during your meal then I guess this would be for you. Last night was my second time attending this restaurant. My first time was for takeout and the food was delicious. This time was for a dinner outing and I was able to enjoy the ambience and the food and the company I was with. It wasn't too loud and we had about six or seven different types of dumplings. I know we had the spicy chicken and we had the chicken and celery and the pork and shrimp. I can't recall the others. The soda came in a bottle. We had steamed and fried dumplings. The flavor and the texture was good and pretty on point for authenticity. I am always looking for a good dim sum and dumpling place. So since I have now been to this place more than once. I will be adding it to my list of decent and good quality places to eat at. It's also not too far from the movie theater so it definitely makes for a good date night. read more

Amazing new dim sum place in Dallas! Super attentive owner currently running the front while looking for more employees and able to juggle the business with a completely full restaurant. The food itself was tasty and fresh! I would definitely say the soup dumplings are my favorite here. You literally see the steam immediately when opened and the dumpling is the ideal amount of soup to filling with each bite! All other dishes we ordered came out pretty quick and all were fresh and hot. The breading of the steamed buns had a perfect crisp layer on the outside and soft on the inside. Where the filling meets the bun is soaked in just enough filling juice to make it softer and soaked in filling that I AM OBSESSED! Loved the overall decor and the cute individual serving plates for all the dishes! I will definitely be back when I have a craving for din sum! The hand pulled noodles were 'sold out' when we were there at 11:30a on a Saturday but come to find out they won't serve it until after noon. But coming a second time the guy was not there so they were unavailable again! Who knew only one dude could do this. Had a few dim sum items and although some were tasty, for the price it wasn't worth it. Service was slow and some items when received was cold. Bushi Bushi is a new find, but I'm so glad to have it in my rotation. I was looking for a place with good vegetarian dumpling options for my grandfather's birthday, and this place popped up on my radar. I highly recommend eating family style, which is also encouraged by the place settings; the menu is phenomenal, with more interesting and delicious vegetarian options than we could even try with the five of us there. Everything we had was delicious, but the eggplant in garlic sauce, veggie buns, and veg duck were particularly excellent. (That eggplant in particular. Just wow.) The wait staff was also fantastic - they were attentive, encouraging of us bringing in the birthday cake (they even hooked us up with cake plates without asking!), generous with the drink refills, and even forgiving of us accidentally leaving edible glitter all over everything (so sorry about that!). I also appreciated the fun robot waiter... and the fact that we still had human beings to interact with. A heads up for American diners who like boatloads of ice in their drinks - this place is downright European with the amount of ice they'll put in your glass. I always prefer light ice, but if you're wanting a ton of ice in your water or soda, you'll need to ask for it. On a related note, if there's a single shortcoming, it would be the very light drink selections. It would be nice to see the bar expanded a bit, but the options they do have are interesting and versatile. My grandfather thoroughly enjoyed his birthday dinner, as did the rest of us - Bushi Bushi will be a staple in my rotation from now on. read more

This kind of a weird experience. I sat at the bat and ordered hot sake. They seemed confused about it and brought out a warmed can of sake, put it in warm water in a melted measuring cup and gave me a shot glass. Had to order everything on an app. Food was decent, but not great. I've eaten a lot of shumai and dumplings and they are always served with a dipping sauce. These were dry and when I asked for sauce they looked confused again and handed me soy sauce and asked if I wanted vinegar. Very strange experience. Although the hand pulled noodles looked amazing, so I will go back for those and try again. read more

We grew up in Asia so we know what good Chinese food taste like. Bushi Bushi is the BEST Chinese in the Addison, Farmers B, N Dallas area. Their decor is casual but tasteful. (The bathroom could use more lighting.) Their dim sum are fresh and taste WAY better than Kirin Ct. You don't have to wait in line and this restaurant is clean! We've tried Bushi's soup dumpling, roast duck, congee, Beef fried noodles, and a few entrees. They all had the right amount of salt, not greasy and Wok-chi (a cooking technique). They have a touchless ordering system. You scan the menu and order dishes (menu has pictures) from your phone. The waitress or robot delivers food to your table. Service is friendly and attentive. -- I can't believe in this day and age people still want dim sum in a cart? Personally, I want as few people touching and talking down to my food as possible. read more

Crispy Shrimp Ball. We found them all to be to our liking...your tastes may vary or be different. We split a Chicken Fried Rice entree as it was our 1st visit ... sorta like hitting a new Tex-Mex place - either they can nail the enchilidas or not...same with fried rice. It was good; but, not outstanding or memorable. We decided that we'd sample other offerings from the entree side of the menu on our next visit. I went here on January 15, 2023. The food was okay, but the service was abominable. It took me 15 minutes to flag someone down to get the bill. Our main waitress (long black hair woman) totally ignored us as I was trying to flag her down. She insisted on cleaning tables and just avoiding us. Finally got a guy in a mask to get our bill. We had to tell him how to split it, since you cannot split the bill when you order online. Your table is forced to order food on a website with a QR code, incredibly ridiculous now that Covid is over. The restaurant seems to think that is an excuse to provide poor service. I don't think so! The so-called robots are used by the waiters to move food. They are very unimpressive. There was a Help Wanted sign-in in the window, that should have been our first warning.
