My go-to order is masaman curry with tofu paired with usually a curry fried rice with chicken. Food here is a bit pricey but it is flavorful and the portions are big enough that I could make two meals out of it. I recommend the mango and sticky rice desert as well. All the food we tried was delicious, and there are several vegan options as well. This place is so good! We decided to come here because they have a vegan menu! All of the vegan options we ordered were so flavorful and delicious! We ordered the vegan pad Thai, vegan pad kee mao, and vegan panang curry and we added tofu to all three. The veggies were so fresh and not over cooked and nothing was too oily. I have never tried pad kee mao before but that's definitely one of my new favorite Thai dishes! The owner came out and told us that any item on their menu can be veganized and that they don't even use fish sauce in any of their dishes! My dad ordered the pad see ew with chicken and he loved it he finished his whole plate! We never felt like any of our dishes were lacking in flavor, which I have experienced at other vegan places that I have been to in the past. It is a pretty small location but still comfortable and the service was great! So attentive and friendly. The only thing I wouldn't order again would be the boba. I loved the vegan Thai tea they have (they use coconut milk) but I generally don't like popping boba and they used popping boba this time, so I would probably just order the plain Thai tea without boba next time! We came in for lunch time on a quiet Thursday afternoon. We were instantly greeted and accommodated. The atmosphere is quiet and quaint and perfect for a peaceful lunch or romantic dinner... you should call to make sure there's an open table if it's at a peak time to make sure you can get a seat. This little restaurant on the block is a breath of fresh air from other places here in el cajon. Troy and olga are so inviting every time me and boyfriend pop up (which is pretty often since we live so closely by) I have been up and down the menu and love everything. I had the Tom Kha, a coconut soup with chicken, galanga (related but distinct from ginger root), lemongrass, lime juice, red onions, mushrooms and tomato, along with Crispy Veggie Roll with sweet & sour sauce (4 stuffed rice paper crepe rolls golden fried to perfection). I'm already planning for my next trip in. I think I'll try the Thai Salad with homemade curried peanut dressing and some Pad Kee-Mao. Never heard of it?
