It's just down the street from the Marriott Courtyard, so thought we'd try it...so happy we did! Yes, it's a hole in the wall type of place but the food we had was terrific! Mango Chicken for me and Mango Chicken Curry for my spouse. Both were some of the best dishes we've had! Four vegetable rolls to begin with were also excellent. Just happened upon this gem. Totally impressed in every way. Very small , authentic food bursting with flavor. Owner and staff totally friendly. This place has the vibe me and my husband crave. I had red curry and I was in love at first bite. Perfect heat and totally perfect flavor. Husband had Bbq chicken chili sauce. Hit yet again. We were treated to a wonderful handmade ice cream that oh my goodness was more unique than I have had. Very very flavorful. El Cajon is so lucky to have this available to them. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We ordered food through grub hub and gave them special instructions to not add eggs to certain orders because of food allergies. One of our orders did not say it included eggs in the description on the website as well. Once our food was delivered, everything had eggs in it. Initially, we called to get our food replaced but we dealt with the worst customer service we ever dealt with in California. The manager tried to argue with us as if it was our fault. They sent us on the run around calling GrubHub and the restaurant back and forth. On the last call, I spoke to the manager and her words verbatim were "I already talked to grub hub so what else do we need to talk about?" in a very condescending tone. Needless to say, we didn't get a refund and we bought $68 worth of food that we could not eat. The horrible manager's name was Olga and she treated us(the customer) horrible from the get go. The only reason we considered this restaurant, to begin with, was that the restaurant received great reviews. The food might have been great if we could have eaten it without risking our health. Due to the customer service, I will not be recommending anyone to this restaurant ever. Nowhere on the website does it say that all noodles include eggs and I feel very cheated and robbed because I gave them 68 dollars from my family's mouth into their pockets. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I would expect the manager(Olga) to be more professional and provide a classier service. This restaurant will never have my business ever again. read more

My daughter and son-in-law recommended this cafe. My wife and I ate there for the first time today. Food was delicious and fresh. Thai ice tea actually had a tea taste which most do not due to being too sweet-very refreshing. Service was excellent. This is our new local Thai food place. read more

This was a real disappointment. The best part of the meal was the yellow curry itself - it had a nice flavor (though I didn't care for the pineapple in it). However, the pork inside was dry and flavorless. I actually thought that they'd accidentally brought chicken out, but the cook said that it was pork. Whatever it was, it wasn't very good. Even more disappointing was the rice. There was not very much of it, and it was kind of dry. Usually the rice at Thai restaurants is sticky, moist, and plentiful. It's one of my favorite parts of eating curry, so we would not return here primarily for that reason. I also asked our server if there were veggies in the curry ("like half meat, half veg?"), and he assured me there were, but ours had one piece of carrot only. I'm not sure if he considers peeled russet potatoes a vegetable, but there were chunks of those. Potatoes are botanically classified as a vegetable, but they are classified nutritionally as a starchy food, and I'm surprised he didn't clarify that. There were a few more minor annoyances - the server took another gentleman's order before ours, though he'd come in after us. There was also a young woman loudly chatting on her phone on speakerphone during our meal - apparently she was "face-timing" - who practically threatened to beat me up when I asked her why she was on speakerphone (whoops, my bad for not realizing that the kind of person who would do this in a restaurant is most likely NOT the kind of person who cares about manners or what anyone else thinks!). While not the restaurant's fault, it definitely made the rest of the meal unpleasant. read more

It's a very small place and we ate on the back patio. We had the panang curry with chicken, the drunken noodle with chicken, vegan pad thai, and the sweet rice with mango. Love Busy B! It's the closest Thai restaurant to me and even caters to me when I'm being lazy (heyyyy delivery!). The owner is so nice and the food is always great. The food was delicious, the service was great and the restaurant itself was really nice for such a small out of the way place. The flavors were spot on. The heat and spice (medium) was perfect. We had the Pad Thai noodles, the Spicy Basil and Pineapple fried rice. For desert we took the recommendation of the Sweet Rice with Mango. Out of this world. This will be our go to place for Thai. Well, My go to Thai place is closed On Mondays, so a quick yelp directed me to Busy B. I ordered pad thai chicken, yellow curry chicken and fresh tofu spring rolls. Total came to 22 and change. Typical prices- however the flavors were off. We did not at all like the curry, weird onions and pineapples in it which were off putting. The pad thai was passable but it tasted and liked like they used vermicelli rather than rice noodles, so that was not appreciated. The spring rolls did not have any Asian flavor at all. The dipping sauce was excellent but the filling in the roll was spring salad mix from any market- with a couple chunks of unflavored tofu. Very weird- not a bean sprout, ginger or garlic in sight. Really disappointed- was hoping to find a closer alternative to my fav- SabELee. Oh well.... read more

First of all, my husband and I love Thai food and have probably visited most Thai restaurants in the San Diego area. I feel this restaurant is up there with the best. I had the garlic chicken and my DH had the red curry. We like it spicy and these dishes did no disappoint! Both were full of flavor, moist chicken and fresh veggies. The only small minor negative, for me personally, was mine was a tad too salty. But I am very sensitive to salt and Thai food tends to be on the salty side sometimes. The owner/chef assured me that he could make it less salty as he uses all fresh ingredients. He told me this cheerfully and wanted to make sure our food was to our liking. So happy I tried this place! Went with my sister and mom for a late lunch and it was so yummy. The owners are super nice. The owner/cook came out while we were eating introduced himself and asked if we liked the food. He also said he was proud we finished all of it haha we were super hungry! The food was so flavorful and savory. Perfect amount of spices. I got the shrimp panang curry, my sister got the drunken noodles and we got a pot of the tom yum soup and all shared.
