While traveling decided to try someplace new for breakfast. The name and description of their food sounded great. We ordered a three egg omelette with green peppers, tomatoes, and ham. It came with potatoes and sourdough toast. Now I measure food not only by taste but freshness and this was spot on. You can tell it is freshly cooked and the taste needs no salt or pepper added. So very delicious! The service was friendly and very helpful! The ambiance is friendly , helpful and the place bright and very clean. First time here and it was soooooooo delish!!! The Filipino and Hispanic fusion *Chef's kiss* It's a little hidden spot but a definite place to try. The Ube pancakes were light and airy, definitely not bag pancake mix! The Ube sauce was just sweet enough. The Kalua Pork hash on top of garlic rice, gravy and scrambled eggs... MMMMMM GOOD!! Everything was fresh and piping hot. Had to take home some baked goods as well. The sitting area is clean and bright. The staff is so nice and hospitable. The owner was engaged with all the customers, making sure everyone was well taken care of. It's so hard to find places like this nowadays. I think we found our new Sunday Breakfast spot! I've come here a couple of times now and have enjoyed my experiences both times. It is a little on the pricey side for a breakfast, but I like what they have to offer and it is still a decent amount of food. I've tried both the longsilog and the adobo fried rice; the garlic rice makes both of these dishes. I could eat the garlic rice all day! I'm looking forward to trying the kalua hash and loco moco. My friend had the sausage breakfast sandwich with tater tots and loved it. The pastries are a little dense but taste is good. They have a good variety of pastries for every one. I get the cheececake every time because I love cheesecake. The coffee drinks are smooth and strong. What I really like is the tropical iced tea. I think it is a black tea and it isn't sweet, which I like. The workers here are so nice and really helpful in explaining dishes and desserts. It is fast casual style with ordering first at the counter and picking up your food at the counter. The restaurant is clean and bright, as it is all windows. I love this place. We tried it Saturday for the first time and the people were so nice! The guy taking our order was funny and helpful. The barrista making the coffee added some fun twists to our drinks. A sweet man came and offered us water while we waited. Overall just really nice vibes here. Ok the food, AMAZING. The french toast is legit homemade bread and it was done so so well. The whip was also homemade and so yummy. I only ate half it was very filling. My bf got the burrito and that was also so good. The ingredients were very fresh. Also loved how crunchy the tater tots portion of the burrito were, nothing was soggy, everything had a nice flavor and texture. Came by here on a slow Tuesday morning and had the most delicious muffin and butterproof coffee! Service is great, selection is beautiful and food is delicious. Love me some ube pancakes and lilikoi French toast!They are right next door to a dog boarding facility we use so this is always a convenient stop before or after! Today we had lunch and it was very busy and still delicious, just took a little while. Breakfast Mulita - 8/10 Corn Quesadilla w/ egg, choice of meat, Jack cheese, guacamole, pickled onion, cotija & chille de arbol salsa. - This Mulita was definitely different from your average taco truck. There was a-lot going on. I could do without the pickled onion on the side. It sure was spicy because my lips were burning. not as cheesy as I wanted it to be. It was coo. Lilikoi French Toast - 10/10 Housemade Challah Bread in Sweet Custard Topped w/ Mascarpone Whip, fresh Strawberries, Passionfruit Curd -- I love French toast so much. If I see it on the menu I'd order it over pancakes. At first I was hesitant to order it because I was afraid it would be too sweet due to the Lilikoi, but it was just right. The macarpone whip was super creamy & was a nice touch to the French toast. No need for syrup! A friend and I decided to check out Butter Cafe and I was excited to see they had a decent selection of menu items along with their display of sweets and pastries. I opted for the Turkey Pesto Melt ($13.95) along with a coffee cake from their display case. All sandwiches come with a side of fries, tater tots or a side salad so I decided on the fries. My friend also got a sandwich but chose the tots for a bit of variety, along with a Strawberry Ricotta Cake from the pastry display case. I was excited to try the Turkey Pesto Melt but it was a bit underwhelming. It wasn't bad at all by any means, but there was just nothing special - just a standard turkey sandwich with some pesto. With it being called a "melt", I was also hoping for it to be a hot sandwich like a panini but the only "hot" thing about it was the melted cheese and slight toasted bread. Still a good sandwich nonetheless but just nothing memorable. I usually prefer fries over tots but surprisingly, I preferred the tots my friend ordered over the fries. The tots were perfectly crispy and delicious! As for the coffee cake, it was your standard coffee cake but I enjoyed the moistness and slightly dense texture of it. The portion size was also quite large so definitely appreciated the generous size. The Strawberry Ricotta Cake was also yummy and moist. I'd definitely come back to try more pastries and their other desserts such as cookies, muffins and scones. Service was friendly and quick; our food was ready in about 10 minutes which I appreciated. Hidden Gem! We were there just after 12 on a sunny Sunday & can't wait to return! The nice patio has serval tables that you can customize to suit the size of your party, some w/umbrellas, but there is also tons of room inside. The owners & staff were so friendly & attentive, BUT Get the Breakfast Tacos...omg! Haven't tried my to-go muffin w/strawberry-ricotta(?) filling yet, but couldn't leave without it. I've heard good reviews about this place through a coworker so I decided to give it a try after our little hike on Sunday morning. As we walked the line wasn't too crazy but I heard a worker yelling out that they were little backed up and it was going to take about 30-34 minute for us to get our food. Since we didn't have much to do so decided to order and wait. We ordered two coffee, passion fruit french toast and omelette to share with my mom. They use Klatch coffee beans there. Klatch coffee beans are little bit on the sour side for me. I gave it another try and sure enough it was sour for my tongue. The gentlemen who was there cleaning and offering water were super nice (I want to say he is the owner?) he knew lot of people who came in as customers. I was little thrown off since it was a sit down like restaurant I thought the foods were going to come out in a real dish but they used paper plates. I ordered passionfruit french toast but I did not taste any passionfruit curd so we might have gotten a wrong one? Their price was definitely on the higher side considering it was a restaurant restaurant it gives more of cafeteria like vibe. Bad experience this morning at Butter. First off, $17.00 for a breakfast burrito, that's nuts. This is what you get in the crazy blue state of California. $20 an hour and that staff gets cut, foods ridiculously priced. To add to this, I reordered and removed $3 for extra bacon, and proceeded to wait, and wait and wait and wait. Meanwhile cooks come out every so often and see me waiting but don't have enough sense to realize the order they thought I cancelled wasn't cancelled. I saw such great reviews here on Yelp and on Instagram, so I wanted to try this place out. I was so fascinated by the macadamia nut pancake I've been seeing, so I ordered that. My parents ordered potatoes, biscuit, and some other thing (?), eggs and blackened ham on the side. The macadamia nut pancakes just tasted like regular pancakes with sweet cream on top. Couldn't really taste the mac nuts in the pancake, only the big chunks that were on top. And there was banana slices on top as well. I tried some of the eggs ass well. Seemed like the eggs were a little undercooked in my opinion and had no taste. Are we suppose to salt it ourselves to our liking? And the blackened ham was too salty. First time I ordered Macadamia Nut Pancakes to go they were perfect and looked exactly like the picture on their website, but the 2nd and 3rd time not at all. No sauce on top, no chopped nuts surrounding the pancakes just a small container side of the frosted sauce. Later when I ordered the 3rd time I explained and thought the girl was listening and would tell the cook, only found to be ignored. I was told if I ate the pancakes there they would look like the picture but if I got it to go it was plain with a small amount of chopped nuts on top, plus a side of the frosting sauce. Sp she takes it back to the cook he pours a little of my container on the pancakes and hands me back a tiny little useless container of the sauce. I couldn't believe it. The girl said if I got it to go the sauce would soak thru the pancake. She's wrong. I was out over 1/2 hour before I got home. It was still fine. How cheap and bad customer service.
