Absolutely incredible. We decided to stop at Butter Cafe for a late breakfast. The second we walked in, it was obvious this place was going to be a hit. The staff is extremely friendly and personable- not in a fake way either, you can tell they genuinely enjoy being there and chatting with people. Our waitress was extremely accommodating with my allergy - she gave me many options (even off menu) so I would enjoy my breakfast. The food... amazing. The portions were huge and my partner and I loved every bite of our meals. They brought out a few homemade jams/syrups for us to try as well. Our waitress and other employees were continuously filling our coffees and even offered putting the rest of it in a to go cup for us to leave with. My husband had the cowboy bowl and thought it was great and full of flavor, smokey and a little spicy. They served me the biggest french toast I've ever seen, and it tasted good, however it was a bit mushy/undercooked in the centers because the pieces were so large. We had: - huckleberry lemonade (skip this - much too sweet and came out as a half inch of syrup in the bottom of a lemonade) - arnold palmer (it's an arnold palmer) - BLT with side salad (good, very large BLT. the side salad was a little small, especially for the upcharge) - mushroom frittata (this was great, and a large portion with the salad and toast. the goat cheese is a strong element, so avoid if you're not into that). Food was good overall, if a bit pricey. My main complaint here is with the service. Our waiter was impatient and tried to upsell us repeatedly as we ordered, which was weird. Maybe he was just having an off day! But if it is restaurant policy to try and upsell on everything ordered, I'd consider nixing it. read more

I ate here twice on a beautiful fall weekend and everything was excellent. There was a wait both times at 9:30 and 10:30 am respectively but their pager system worked perfectly and I was seated within 15 min. They do it all including espresso drinks, fabulous bottomless drip coffee, pastries, Mexican breakfast items and hearty biscuits with gravy. The brioche French toast I ordered was loaded with fresh berries and the chilaquiles had perfect spice level and the freshest avocado I've had in a long time. After waiting so long for our food and still had not gotten it we see the table next to us who got seated AFTER us get their drink order in sooner than we did AND a free cinnamon roll for the wait! I ORDERED a cinnamon roll 25 min after being seated and had to get up and to ask for it after not getting it . To be honest I came in with low expectations primarily due to the photos I saw posted here on Yelp, but thoroughly impressed with their French Toast. The service great as well, all the staff I interacted with were warm and helpful. Can't wait for my next opportunity to try their other dishes. If I could've given them 4.5 stars I would've. I was so close to giving them fives stars, and if it wasn't for their latte and the fact that I haven't tried any of their other dishes I probably would've done so. I really appreciated the team that works here - they work together seamlessly and were very kind. Inside is not that big with a couple of high tops and a few regular tables, but it's quaint and cute with local artists displaying their work on the walls. For those in search of a barista experience kind of coffee, this is your place with "hand crafted" lattes and espressos in addition to chai lattes. My lord, this thing was a monster, densely packed with scrambled eggs, chorizo, hash browns, and manchego cheese. The hot, creamy, slightly sweet gravy just took the whole affair to another decadent level. I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't finish the whole thing, which is a rarity for me (though in my defense, it was really tough to eat in a moving vehicle with the chorizo oil and gravy dripping all over the place).
