We got the Chile Verde nachos, but it was tough to find much Chile Verde. They nicely split the order into two plates without our asking, apparently because we indicated that we would be sharing and charged $5 for that useless "improvement". Adding two tiny containers of dipping sauces for the Truffle Fries added $1.50 each (no one mentioned that they were "extra"). We don't care about the added cost, but this seems like a sleazy attempt to squeeze as much revenue as possible from patrons. We certainly will never go back.

It was tender, flavorful, and actually looked like it came from a cow instead of a lab experiment. The eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered them, which shouldn't be noteworthy but somehow is these days. The hashbrowns were crispy, well-cooked, and managed the rare feat of not doubling as a sponge for a gallon of fryer oil. The only hiccup was our server, who apparently had an active restraining order against our table. Drink refills and check-ins were few and far between. Thankfully, the rest of the staff noticed we had been abandoned and jumped in to save the day. They kept the coffee flowing and made sure we had everything we needed. In the end, the food was excellent, the rest of the staff picked up the slack, and I left full, happy, and already thinking about what I'll order next time. When the Waitress came over, she looked a little bit worried because she realized from our looking around that we probably had been waiting there for a while without any service at all. No water, no drink order, nothing. OK, new restaurant, everyone's learning their jobs. That's understandable let's see how it goes. We talked to our Waitress, her name was Mandy and she was very lovely. She proceeded to take excellent care and provide excellent service for us at our table. We had ordered the corn niblets and had to come back out in a short while to tell us that they were out. While we were waiting, a man came to our table who introduced himself as Jose, the head chef for the kitchen. And much to our surprise, in his hands was a plate of corn niblets. He explained that he had to make each order himself from an ear of corn and that they take a little longer this way. The Waitress hadn't known that he would be able to do this. We immediately canceled the chicken wings and enjoyed the treat immensely. We thanked Jose of course, and we were touched by his thoughtfulness for coming out to talk to us. Honestly, the vegetables were very blah with no flavor. But the steak was so tasty. I wasn't gonna say a word. The mashed potatoes that came with them were fairly tasty too. I liked them. My husband liked two of his enchiladas very well. The third one wasn't his favorite, but he also said that it was pretty good. So all in all a good meal, great service, and a very clean restaurant. Jose did come back out to our table to check on our meal. Again, I'm very Impressed with their chef. I hope he continues to grow and learn. He's gonna be fabulous! So try the restaurant. Local Restaurant that used to be Beso Cantina converted to Blast & Brew…read more The renovation of the dining room looks great and the seating is spacious! The still have the Beso Speakeasy brand n the back. The food is pretty good and the service is awesome! The Corn Ribs are my go to! Love them! The Bar has an excellent selection of Tequilla for shots or Margaritas. Good selection of Beer as well! Three Big Screen TV's in the bar make it an enjoyable experience! It's right down the street from my house, so we will be back again and again! Cheers
