Saw this place as I walked to Central Barbecue from my hotel and made a note to leave room for dessert. After lunch, I walked in and was immediacy greeted warmly and was quickly on my way to getting a baker's dozen. I mostly wanted to pick up a bunch of cookies for the rest of the folks on my tour but I knew I had to get extra for me for me to eat as I walked back to the hotel. The Chocolate Pecan (my favorite cookie) was incredible. I look forward to having one of the butter cookies from the baker's dozen later. "Have a butterific day" lol the lady that helped us here was so nice. We came in and they were out of the butter cookies, she happily told us that they were coming out of the oven soon, and to have a sample if we wanted to wait. So another two customers and I waited for the butter cookies. They are so good. They were warm of course and crunchy yet moist, like no other cookie I've ever tried. We also tried the strawberry cookie and that one was also amazing! If you like strawberry I'd definitely reccomend trying this one. They also have little pre packaged bags and tubs of the butter cookies minis that way you can take them home and enjoy them whenever you want! This place is located just down the street from the MLK cival Rights museum , so after doing that just walk on down passing Central BBq and this place is on the corner. Just moving to Memphis, I always passed by this place. I had to come see myself. First off, not even tasting the sweets, the welcoming my fiancé and I got was outstanding. These cookies are so delicious. We're in town from Florida and walked over to eat Central BBQ for lunch. We arrived a bit before opening so stopped by Makeda's while we waited. OMG!!!
