Sangria tasted very sour. Lemon drop shot was very good. Ambiance was chill, it was 10:30 am so there were many tourists and the game was on but no music or other entertainment at that time. Chips were thick and salsas were not spicy at all which was a bit disappointing. The avocado salad was flavorless. We added salt to all items. Asada tacos and fish tacos were meh. Service was fast and seemed eager to get us in and out. They counted the tip in front of us and complained. Many seats were stools and they didn't allow split checks for our group. Still a Fun experience in Cabo.
Was on a Carnival 6 Day cruise to Cabo and Ensenada. This was Day 3 of the cruise. We took a bike taxi from the beach by the Port. He actually became our unofficial tour guide lol. He brought us here because it is a very famous spot. After going to it, it is a definitely a tourist trap. I sat this because it was very very too much. Too fancy, too showey, too out there. You could tell that no locals must likely frequent it. Definitely did not want to spend any real money in there. The music playing was not even Spanish. It was American. My wife and I did not have any food here, we each just had a drink. The drink I ordered was not great at all. It was a mojito type of drink and it had way too much mojito to it lol. When we got picked , I told him to not take us to any more tourist spots and to take us only to where locals go. We wanted to go where he would go. Of course we stayed in the area near the port, but we wanted local food only. He understood the assignment after that point.
While massive and festive, you won't find any local cuisine here. If you're looking for basic taco, burgers, or cheese fries, this might be for you. Drinks are also very expensive as compared to other local places. Our servers were super friendly and took great care of us, but after looking at the menu and realizing our mistake, we ordered tacos and chips and guac. The guac wasn't fresh, needed salt and spices. Ugh. Lesson learned. Venture out and take a chance on anywhere else, especially when in Cabo. Don't make our mistake!
The tourist trap in Cabo. A few blocks from the marina. Service is basic. The food was better than I expected. I had the fajitas and my wife had the chilies rellenos. The beers were cold. Outside seating, your chasing flies away. Typical, a photographer makes his rounds trying to get tourists to buy a picture in a frame. Pass. Lastly, payment was odd. I had to tell the waiter the percentage I wanted to give when paying the bill. In Cabo.... Go see it once. Live the experience . After that, go elsewhere.Better food can be found in local places
It was my first time in Cabo and I knew I needed to stop by to visit Cabo Wabo. The ambiance is funky, hip and very cool to be at.. The waitress was attentive, helpful and very quick. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to the food.. it was lacking spice or any flavor ( reminded me of a Mexican Applebees) and one of the friends had a shrimp taco that she couldn't eat and it actually has flies following the plate from the kitchen.. if you go to Cabo Wabo- grab some drink- they are amazing ( I had "I can't drive 55" Yum) , buy a Tshirt- amazing gift shop, but don't have any food- it's not worth it.. LOTs of other great food options in Cabo..
I took a cruise a few weeks ago and stopped in at Cabo Wabo for a drink. I am so glad that I did! The service was on point, all the ladies and gents were really hustling, polite and professional. I loved all the music that was playing and the atmosphere was fantastic! I sat in an open air area so there was a light breeze going through and it felt really good! Drinks are a little expensive, but I didn't care, I was more there to say that I had been there, it was on my bucket list! I really enjoyed the short time that I was there, just taking it all in. I saw that they have a gift shop just outside and avoided that. Thankfully Cabo Wabo was only a short walk from the spot that my tour was meeting at. The next time I am in Cabo, I will stay long enough to grab a bite to eat as well, Mexican is my favorite food!
This is an adorable restaurant, just what we wanted from Cabo. We have ordered the coconut shrimp which was delicious. The garlic and soy sauce dip was a good complement to it. They have an appetizer coconut shrimp that only comes with the shrimp. The meal portion comes with yellow rice and grilled veggies. The service was faster than we expected given that all the tables around us had no food or drinks when we sat down. All around, a great place to stop when in Cabo San Lucas.
OK place to stop in if you haven't been before. The last time I was in Cabo, the boat came really early in the morning so it wasn't open, and we didn't want to wait around for it to open. This time, our boat from LA got in in the early afternoon, so was able to stop in for a late lunch around 2. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away. Seating is outside, with mist fans fully on to provide some respite from teh heat. There were multiple servers helping us and everyone was super friendly, throughout. The menu is pretty focused for lunch. Happy hour is 7 days a week before 5 pm, and the one drink special is 2 margaritas for $240 MXN. One has choice of classic margarita (no flavors), either on the rocks or frozen. It's a decent deal. We also asked for water, so of course, they gave us two bottled water for $140. - beef fajitas ($420) - it was good. came with 3 flour tortillas, and good toppings. The meat was not the typical flank steak, but was something like round (no fat at all). - shrimp ceviche ($420) - disappointing. it was basically raw white shrimp, decent quality, but it hadn't marinated enough so it was basically still raw. I asked for more limes, and then used it to cover the shrimp...ate it a bit later. The flavor was good, but the quantity was small. It came with good chips and crackers. There were plenty of servers , and we did not feel neglected. One can pay by credit card, and the server is pretty direct in asking what the tip will be, before it is sent through. 20% seemed to satisfy her. The total came out to $92 USD (asked for it to be charged in MXN). I was hoping that because a lot of ex-pats are in Cabo, it would be more than a tourist spot, but it wasn't. Assuming the vibe at night makes up for it. read more
My early afternoon visit was disappointing, with very poor service, high prices and loud background music. I'm a Sammy Hagar fan, so I understand the appeal, and I wanted to like this place, but they were severely understaffed, with very long wait times for simple drink orders. The building was separated into several seating areas with a main seating area, bar and stage at the rear. The gift shop was okay, but overall, I'm going with just two stars. read more

The dude and I come to Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas - during our 7 day cruise on 11/16/22. We decided to walk which we felt pretty safe for the most part. GPS led us to this place easily. However proceed with caution as always. Anywho, when we arrived we were greeted immediately by staff and seated outside. It was a very hot day but it was cool since it was morning time. The dudes dream was to come here and it was nice. Nothing on the food menu really appealed to me so I asked for custom nachos and surprised they weren't on the menu and we added chicken. The drink menu is where it's at!! The dude and I both got drinks tribute to Sammy H! The drinks were delicious especially rocking out the band. It was so pleasant. The food came out quick. The nachos were absolutely delicious. They were so good! They put the dressing and toppings on the side. We rocked out to music . Staff was very. Menu is in English and Spanish and pesos along with USA currency. We stayed for about two hours and decided to check out the gift shop. The dude went crazy and both A LOT of stuff for him and his dad. I did see a cute short set but they didn't have my size so I didn't get anything:( they also have little items like cups, coasters and stickers. Overall, we do want to come back! Mostly for the drinks . I enjoyed my time here! read more

Stopped by Cabo Wabo for a drink before dinner. We missed the live music and crowds because of the time but the drinks were flowing and great. My mojito was amazing and the group loved their spicy blended mango margaritas. Stopped by the gift shop and bought a t-shirt! read more
We were visiting Cabo and haven't been to Cabo Wabo since before the pandemic so thought we would check it out for lunch. The weather was in the 70's so a nice walk there. It was pretty busy when we got there and we were seated in the downstairs outside patio area. We usually eat upstairs. I ordered a beer and their chicken taquitos. The beer and food were good. Decent prices. A duo set up in the corner and played some good rock and pop songs. The singer was very good. read more
Attentive staff in a popular American establishment in Mexico. Nothing extraordinary on the menu. Clean restaurant with lively and colorful decor. It's so nice to hear live music. Had some chips, salsa and guacamole with a couple of beers and a mocktail. One of those spots you go to to say "we've been there!" read more
Stopped in while in the area , it was against my better judgment as this is a tourist location although we gave it a try for drinks and appetizers and it was a big disappointment . The mango Margarita was like a smoothie on the rocks , it was supposed to be happy hour but our bill did not reflect that , the chicken flautas tasted and smelled like spoiled chicken, after the flautas we were worried about the coconut shrimp we ordered and left everything on the table . When server asked how was everything as she noticed we quickly asked for the bill , we mentioned the concern of the spoiled chicken but she didn't share concern. We politely settled the bill and would not visit in the future. read more
Cabo Wabo is a classic. The food is simple but delicious, the staff are very accommodating (& most speak English so if you're a tourist, communication here is easy,) & there's always something fun going on. Last night ZZ Top was preforming! The mojitos were really tangy and the steak tacos were to die for. Our food came out quickly. Someone in my group ordered a drink that didn't taste quite right & we sent it back full but it was still on the bill. That was the only disappointing part, but no big deal. It does get a bit noisy if you're visiting at night, but the outdoor seating is situated away from the noise if that's not your jam. Daytime is peaceful and quiet here. read more
Dear Sammy Hagar, It is time to show some love to what was once a beacon for live music seeking, tequila drinking party people. This bar is tired and dated and in need of an overhaul. Those "of a certain age" may be tempted to spend an evening here while in Cabo. I can't recommend that. It had its glory days, but those have faded. The TVs are old, as is projection equipment. The live sound is mud. The day-glo neon paint decor is passé. This bar was a let down. We reserved the elevated VIP area to the side of the stage. But there was no need. There was plenty of unused seating throughout the bar. I will say the service was friendly. But I don't believe we will be back. I am conflicted posting this, as I don't like to disparage, but I am just being honest.... read more

Only reason why cabo wabo gets 3 stars is because of Sammy Hagar!!! Angel the table cleaner did more for us than my waitress... She was to busy talking to the Bartender probably dating eachother... The Mixed Drinks were a bit over priced and not listed on the menu so buyer beware and the Chips and Guac around $13.00 not much Guac or Salsa left half the boat full because who likes to eat dry chips... Live music was cool but not what you would expect from a Rock Star establishment.... Overall I can say that this place is more about saying you were here rather than a place you would come back to :( Posted a picture of us when we first arrived that was before the server disappeared probably for the best or our bill could have gotten out of hand... read more

I was at Cabo Wabo everyday during my visit mainly because it had the best vibe of anyplace that I've visited. Good rocking music is always playing whether it be live or streamed and there's always a good crowd of people, but during the days you should be able to get in without much of a wait. The menu is large, but not overwhelming and the food was tasty and well-prepared. They do have drink specials, so take advantage of those as long as you can. The staff was amazing; if I had an empty plate or glass or bucket on my table more than 1 minute, I would've been surprised. They were ON IT. They were also pleasant and professional. This original location just destroys the branch locations as they're mainly making money off the brand, without any of the charm/spirit of this Cabo location. If the location in Hollywood were even close to the original, it'd give me some reason to trek into Hollywood, but I'll need to come back to Cabo for my true CW fix and just maybe one day I'll get to see Sammy play there. read more

Went on a Friday at 2pm as a group of 5 and were seated within 5 minutes. Nice ambiance outside and it was pretty hot but we were seated in shade/next to fans. No inside seating other than the aesthetic bathroom. Live band was fantastic and added to the great vibes DRINKS: there was a 2 for 1 special on margaritas and my friend loved that. The sangria and piña coladas were a hit also FOOD: got the coconut shrimp, shrimp tiradito, surf & turf burger, and chicken quesadillas. They were so kind and already divided the burger and fries on different plates for my 2 friends that were sharing. Everything was great all around Glad we stumbled upon this place when we were shopping around downtown!! read more

I've always heard about Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas and always wanted to come here; especially after I saw an episode on DDDs. I've been to their other location in Lake Tahoe. I was coming off a long walk exploring Cabo San Lucas when I decided to stop somewhere for a beer and eats. I knew Cabo Wabo was close by, so I stopped there. I was greeted by a hostess and immediately seated. I noticed every patron were tourists. I figured they must all be from cruise ships. Personally, I try to search for places where the locals eat to experience an authentic Mexican experience. But as i previously mentioned, I always wanted to try this place. Maybe just to say I've dined there. I didn't want a large meal as I still had a long walk back to my villa. So I ordered shrimp ceviche and Tecate Light. I was brought a bucket of ice with two Tecate Lights. I guess that was one order. Surprisingly, the shrimp ceviche was one of the best I ever had. It was fresh, flavorful, and I could actually taste the shrimp. The helping was plentiful and I could have easily shared with someone and still would've been satisfied. It was served with freshly fried tortilla chips. I decided to order another bucket of Tecate and just relax and listen to the live music that was playing. The band was pleasant and played mellow songs like Margaritaville, Shallow, and Blue Bayou. Overall, I was very pleased with Cabo Wabo. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was my server wasn't very attentive. But I would definitely dine here again! read more
Truly enjoyed the music and the food and this one amazing drink.. Enter... The Cocorita. That coconut deliciousness will not be forgotten anytime soon. A picture is worth a thousand words, so I hope you can taste the coco-nutty yumminess through this one. I will forever be chasing that taste.... Combined with the ocean air and the vacay vibes, this taste cannot be recreated if you are away from the water... The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because it was so packed we could barely move, no tables available so most of the time we had to stand up with our drinks. Besides that... We came here because it was the touristy thing to do. After a day tour, we headed over for drinks and maybe a bite of something to eat, just so we could say we experienced it. The place wasn't packed when we arrived around 6:30 so we were able to get a table in the restaurant really quickly. Seating was outdoor, and it was a nice cloudless evening to enjoy it. The margarita was nice. It went well with the shrimp tiradito (ceviche). The ceviche itself was very zesty, although the citrus did not quite finish the job, and some of the shrimp was still raw. For people who can't handle spices, there is a very mild heat. The flautas were nice and crispy and the tomatillo sauce was mild. The radish and red onion didn't really do much for the flavors. In all, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't the greatest. read more
Came here for a cruise. One of the stops is Cabo, San Lucas, and of course in Cabo Wabo, the crowd was a little crazy this trip and we had to rush to get back to the boat after whale watching. Food is good, decent menu. Drinks are usually pretty strong. read more

This bar owned by Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony is a hot tourist spot. Being a huge fan of both Hagar and Van Hager, I've been waiting to see this place since OU812 was released!! (Yes, I'm a boomer) So for those that don't know, this is considered a cantina nightclub. You have a small area where you can eat...... Put the big draw is the nightclub which is hopping at night!! Hubby and I walked in at 9:30 am & happy hour was in effect. Obviously I'm going to have a shot of Cabo Wabo tequila, and it was two for one!! It was wonderful fun walking around looking at all the photos of Sammy, Michael and their musician friends. They got a few platinum album awards hanging around there too. It's bright and colorful and fun!! Be sure to stop by when you're in Cabo San Lucas & toast to the Amazing and Welcoming staff..... Even if it's 9:30 a.m! read more
Looking for live music and fast margarita service look no further Cabo Wabo is the place to go. Not too crowded for a Thursday night at 10 pm but when we left at 11 there was a line. There's a band that played classics but my 90s body was rocking to blink 182 lyrics. Drinks were decently filled with wonderful amounts of alcohol but a little pricey. Great vibes. Psychedelic glow in the dark paintings throughout the venue. read more

Location Look for the signs off the pier-mid town Parking We walked but saw out front parking and parking assistants Service Covid temp chk and hand sanitizer upon entry. We had one server for main drink order, then 2 others-super attentive Atmosphere Rock n roll sports bar Seating inside n out-high tops Beverages 2 for one happy hour advertised but not mentioned with service. Frozen better than on the rocks. Red rocks better than on the ricks margarita. Regular margarita better than wabo. Food We only had chips but it came with AMAZING guac n salsa/pico. Green sauce not so good but maybe cilantro which I can't appreciate. Chips are very good-not salty-lots of corn. Yummy! Saw nearby table w wings n coconut shrimp-happy table. Summary Super attentive service-reasonably priced, get the frozen regular margarita! read more

Great place for music and drinks. The atmosphere is electric and the place is just a lot of fun. Snack food was alright, served hot and pretty quick. Place is clean especially the restrooms that are staffed consistently. Lots of security throughout and the neighborhood seemed safe. read more
My wife and I visited here twice during our stay in Cabo, once for lunch and once for evening drinks & band. It is a touristy destination, but being a lifelong Sammy fan I just had to visit. We both were pleasantly surprised with the food quality. For lunch she had the shrimp fajitas and I had a chicken Waburrito, both were very tasty. Drinks were also very good, she had the Pina Colada and I had a Sammy's Sangria. The food was a bit pricey and the drinks were average priced. We went back another evening to listen to the house band and also eat some chips & guac and drinks. Band was pretty good, playing hits from four decades and they also took requests. Lot of Sammy pics and memorabilia throughout, overall a pretty cool vibe. They also have a gift shop onsite. For some odd reason the staff does not allow you to come into the establishment to only drink, they require you to purchase food. This is a bit off-putting to say the least and I cannot fathom why they have this protocol as I noticed both times we were there that it pissed off a lot of potential customers that simply wanted to have a drink and get a pic at Cabo Wabo Cantina. In every case, these potential customers left frustrated and went elsewhere. Covid protocols were also pretty strict throughout the restaurant, but I also found this to be true with several places while in Cabo. read more

Friends recommended Cabo Wabo before we left for our vacation in Cabo so we decided to check it out one evening for dinner... but it ended up just being a pre-dinner drink. Maybe we just didn't come at the right time, but at 7 pm it was pretty dead - there were just a few other customers there besides us. Despite that, there wasn't much in the way of service. We each got drinks, I had a Blanca Gimlet, which was fine but nothing to write home about. We looked over the menu, unexcited by the offerings. Conveniently, no one came by to take our order by the time we finished our drinks, and then waited a little more. While waiting, we decided to search Yelp for something better. There are some great restaurants in the area, so we decided not to waste one of our meals on something that just didn't look too exciting. We paid our bill and moved on. I might recommend this if you're a big Sammy Hagar fan or if you can plan your visit around live music. Otherwise, I don't think it's worth your time. read more

Definitely a tourist destination, but still a very fun place to go! It kind of had a had rock cafe vibe and there was a live rock band playing Weezer covers while we had dinner which enhanced the ambiance. There weren't any vegetarian food options, so I ordered the bean and cheese burrito with no cheese and asked for veggies instead. They were so accommodating and the burrito was full of delicious veggies and came with a smooth, creamy, avocado and cilantro sauce as well as a tomato based salsa. The chips and guacamole were amazing! I didn't have a drink, but there was an extensive drink/cocktail menu. All of the staff was so friendly and attentive; they were right there to pick up empty containers and even pull out my chair for me! The inside and outside were both decorated so well with colorful flags, paintings, tapestry, a disco ball and piñatas! read more
We stopped her for a drink and were not disappointed. Going into it we were expecting a touristy vibe and that's what we got. Drinks were on the same price level as what we expected ($14-16). The guacamole was great. The sex on the beach was tasty. We sat outside and were comfortable. The inside is pretty large as well. The staff was friendly. read more
