After a morning admiring Monet in Venice at the de Young, my friend and I were on the hunt for a relaxing lunch spot. We happened upon Cache, a charming French bistro on 9th Avenue, and were immediately captivated by its aesthetic. Upon entering, a cheerful and welcoming hostess promptly seated us by the window, offering a lovely view of their adorable little courtyard. The lunch menu was nicely streamlined and curated. We began with a refreshingly bright salmorejo that perfectly whet our appetites. Next came the star of the show: delicious buckwheat crepes packed with caramelized onions and Emmental cheese, topped with savory sautéed porcini mushrooms, and paired with a peppery arugula salad and perfectly sautéed Yukon potatoes. We capped off the experience by enjoying dessert alongside an expertly crafted cappuccino and latte. It was bustling for a weekday lunch, and the space filled up fast, yet the service stayed incredibly prompt and attentive. The ambiance is cozy, quaint, and sweet. I'm already looking forward to returning for dinner!

We made a reservation the day before and the staff at Caché were able to sit us immediately when we got there. It wasn't too packed in a Monday night. We chose to get the early bird dinner set menu for just $50! We each ordered the salmon appetizer, pork tenderloin as main, and the creme brûlée as dessert! The orange creme with the salmon was SO good and the pork was also very tender! We would love to come back and try other dishes next time!

Miss Gemma a restaurant is located in a bustling neighborhood on ninth Avenue. This new addition to the Food scene is exceptional. I settled on the leak with a mustard sauce which was delicate balanced in the leak was cooked to perfection. Next me and my friend ordered the pork tenderloin which came in a beautiful Spanish chorizo sauce, which was extremely savory. Next, we had the mushrooms with a puff pastry in chestnuts, which was incredible the way all the flavors blended together. Nothing was left on our plate. We loved all of it. The wine that served was exceptional and they even have a zero proof menu to pick from and I chose a watermelon cooler to have at my meal well done and welcome to food scene .

Made reservations for a brunch date with the hubs. Bright, inviting environment. Staff were quick to greet us and to answer any questions about the menu. Appreciated the mocktails they had available. Hubs ordered the NA Spicy Margarita which he enjoyed. I ordered the Espresso Tonic which was quite refreshing. We then shared with the Duck Confit crepe. It was a light crepe - loved the mushrooms and great to share as a starter. Hubs then had the smoked salmon benedict and I went with the Smashed Croissant. Both dishes were seasoned well. Enjoyed the arugula salad. The croissant had a good amount of crab and avocado. Very enjoyable dining experience. We'll return to try their dinner menu next time.

I came by their little stand outside the store and decided to try a couple items since I was waiting for a friend. The beignets came with a which is nice but my favorite was the brioche. It had a filling inside that was delicious and not too much bread all around. I preferred that over the beignets since I didn't want too much breading. I highly recommend the brioche

Had a very pleasant dinner here! We came early before 5:30 to try the early bird dinner. The service was quick and they tended to the table very well. Plates and silverware were replaced after each course. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful. I would say one con of the place is if you're there while the sun is low, the sun is VERY aggressive. We had to move around the table a bit because of the lack of AC and the sun blaring on your face. It would be nice to have something to block it since it really overheats you when it's directly on your face and body. The courses were great. Since we had 3 people, we were able to try one of each item. Appetizers - the sea bream was a showstopper, absolutely beautiful and the fish was fresh and the sauce was so complimentary. The Bloody Mary oysters were delicious, the oysters weren't briny and very sweet and creamy. I'm a fan of bloody Mary's so this was a hit. Their salmon appetizer was lackluster, it didn't have much flavor honestly and it was a bit boring. The quality of the fish was good though. The fried leek was my favorite appetizer. There's a heavy mustardy base that was so complimentary to the fried leek. I would say it was a bit sloppy to only be able to cut it with a dull knife but the flavors were 10/10. The entrees - the pork tenderloin was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. The hazelnuts offered a great contrast in texture. The mushroom Vol Au Vent was delicious and unctuous but I would say if that was your only entree it would be far too heavy. The sauce was to die for. However there were some hard bits in there that did not go well that may have been the chestnuts. They tasted a bit stale. The sole was cooked perfectly and they really nailed the sauce. A very delicious take on the sole. Dessert - the pistachio creme brûlée had an incredible flavor, wasn't too sweet. But it's not a traditional creme brûlée if you're expecting a very light and creamy one. It was thick and a bit grainy some parts but the flavors were delicious. The chocolate cake was decadent for sure but honestly a bit too much for us. If you're a big fan of thick chocolate fudge you'd like this. Drinks - we ordered their espresso martini which is made with soju and that was delightful. Not too sweet and great foam. We had a citrusy one I forgot the name. It had a beautiful presentation and just tasted like a delicious juice. Great for those who don't like the taste of alcohol. Overall had a great meal here. Their regular menu is a bit on the pricier side (like $30 mussels). I'll probably be back for their early bird dinner because it's a really good deal for what you get. Thanks for a splendid dinner!

Got to try caché during their restaurant week. We had a reservation right at opening at 5pm, and we had a table in their small outside area. Service was attentive the entire night albeit our server didn't seem too enthused. Overall, we wish we ordered à la carte since the restaurant week menu price ($70) ended up being almost the same price, and we would've picked other dishes. Appetizers were a bit of a miss, main courses were great, dessert was good (although I wouldn't get the cheese plate again since it's just not what I enjoy). Additionally, we did order their seabream sashimi ($58) which was SO good and probably the best dish of the night. It's a beautiful dish that they make only 10 of in a night, so you have to order it quick if you have an early reservation! Appetizers - - Bread and butter: solid, bread was nice and warm and the butter was delicious. It ended up going well being dipped in the other dishes. - Cold green asparagus soup: not a fan, wasn't enjoyable cold - Salmon gravlax: good, nothing outstanding Main courses - - Duroc pork tenderloin eggplant puree: tender pork and smokey eggplant. Cream sauce was nice. - Petrale sole & parsnip: this was so good. Probably the second best dish of the night - the fish was perfectly cooked and the parsnip was incredibly buttery and addictingly good. The apple was a nice touch. Highly recommend! Dessert: - Cheese plate: a bit funky but if you like that, I think you would enjoy it. - French financier cake & yogurt ice cream: solid! Financier cake was soft and piping hot. The date was a nice sweetener and the dish wasn't too heavy. Overall, I would come back!

REVIEW FOR BRUNCH Very busy on a Sunday had to make reservations to sit outside in the cute patio. Service was slow. Server forgot the cocktail. I ordered took a very long time to put in our orders. Duck confit buckwheat crepe: 5/5 tell me it's French cooking without telling me. Confit sooo tender. Star of the show. Tender duck paired with the perfect cheese. Strong mushroom flavor. Loved! Smoked salmon Benedict: 4/5 the Benedict itself was average. There's nothing wrong with it, but tasted like any other Benedict I've had. The best part was definitely the potatoes. Perfectly salted and the outside had a nice crunch. Steak: 3.75/5 meat was tough but flavor was good. For sure, a stunner in terms of ambience for a Sunday brunch. Take the patio if you can. The inside would be really cute for date night. Restaurant could improve in their service and flavors for brunch Benedict's. Friends told me that dinner here is better.

This is my quick review for the bakery pop-up only. :) -Madeline was tasty; orange citrus scent was nice : 4 stars. -ChocolateAlmond browny was delicate and tasty : 5 stars. -Donuts with dolce cream filling: 3 stars. I prefer more light and fluffy donut body but this one is more dense side -Morning bun (?): 2 stars. I did not get the name right but prefer more light and fluffy body.

Pleasantly surprised at how good dinner was! I've been meaning to come when this place first opened but never made it out until last night. They have a semi-new "early bird menu" until 5:30pm daily and it was a really good value vs ordering a la carte. Everything I wanted to try was on this menu, so it was a no brainer to choose this. I ordered the fried leek (5/5), mushroom vol au vent (3/5) and the pistachio creme brulee (4/5). My partner chose the roasted bone marrow (2/5), pork tenderloin (4/5) and the dark chocolate cake (5/5). We also ordered a couple of cocktails, glasses of wine and the scallop carpaccio (5/5). For the lower rated items: mushroom vol au vent was too heavy after a couple of bites and the puff pastry was overbaked making it tough. The roasted bone marrow had good flavor but had the tiniest amount of actual bone marrow. They gave you a lot of crostinis but in reality there was enough bone marrow for maybe 2 tiny crostini pieces. Everything else (including cocktails and wine) were really good and I plan on coming back when the sea bream sashimi is back on the menu (late march/early april according to our server).

Caché has an early bird special for dinner. $50 for 3 courses from 5-5:30pm. Such a good deal! We started with the fried leek and bone marrow. For the mains, we ordered the petrale sole and seasonal mushroom vol au vent. And for the dessert, we both got the pistachio crème brûlée since it was so delicious the last time we had it. Everything was amazing! We enjoyed every dish, they were all seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The service was great as usual! I know I'm in for a great meal anytime I'm here.

    Rice pudding with caramel sauce

Tasty food. Very helpful service in a cozy, airy and bright location. I started the meal with the Tuna Rillette as part of their 3-course prix fixe menu. This is basically a very tasty tuna salad. I then had the Petrale Sole with Seaweed Butter. The sole was quite flavorful for a small white fish, with the seaweed sauce topping bringing a little more earthiness to the taste. The fish was accompanied by many flattened new potatoes, baked with seasoned olive oil (a carb treat). I concluded with a Riz au Lait. This is equivalent to rice pudding only the rice was plump with a creamy flavor and topped with a rich caramel sauce to contrast with the just-right sweetness of the pudding. With the meal the server suggested Chateau Cazebonne Asteries 2019 Graves (Merlot). This slightly tannic, mineral and fruit taste was a good complement to my meal.

The summer vegetable hash comes with beans, squash, tomatoes, corn, carrots, peppers and eggs. I typically associate hash with potatoes, but surprisingly this dish does not come with potatoes. The plow comes with eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, potatoes and choice of meat. The lemon riccota pancakes were the star of the dish- light, fluffy and not too sweet. The potatoes were crispy.
