We have been to Arriverdeci numerous times over the last few years. We have always been graciously greeted and shown to our table. The menu is quite diversified with a lot of options. We often come with friends so we have and our friends have tried numerous different dishes. The salmon is always good (cooked to taste) and my wife often enjoys gluten free pasta. In summer you have the option to have dinner inside or outside and on certain days there is music performances. Some friends and I recently had a most pleasant and delicious meal at Cafe Arrivederci , upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the owner and host Ricardo . We sat at the bar where Adam made me fine Knob Creek Manhattan . We enjoyed the fresh Petrale Dore, Salmonella Picatta and the meatballs and polenta with blue cheese . All quite tasty. We came here for our anniversary and had such a great experience! The service was fast, our drinks were delicious, and the food was absolutely exquisite. It was our first time visiting, and we were really impressed by how prompt and attentive our server was throughout the meal. They catered our wedding for about 100 people and we couldn't have asked for better service! The food and pasta was made ON SITE and they provided all the service, plates and needs we could have asked for to make one happy bride/ groom. Everyone was well fed, with options for all dietary needs. We went back for a nice dine in experience and everything was delicious. Just had the pleasure of attending a birthday party for 15 at Cafe Arrivederci. I hadn't been there in over 10 years and honestly, it's just as it was then. Staff is super helpful, even while serving all 15 guests, they were attentive to refilling wine and water glasses. All our entrees arrived together. A hard task when serving a large group at lunch time. We had options of Pollo Piccata, Salmon Piccata, Calamari steak, Steak, pasta with shrimp and scallops, burger. Everything we had was great. Perfectly seasoned, large portions and very tasty. The piccata sauce was amazing. I definitely will add Cafe Arrivederci back into my Italian restaurant rotation. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, but they have a lot in front and one behind and you can usually find parking on the street. read more

Solid four star restaurant. We sat outside in the shade. Lovely space. Servers were very friendly. We tried Brussels sprouts which were crisped and then sauced with apples and bleu cheese. Delicious. We had pasta with clams - lots of tender little clams and a light wine sauce - and a pork chop special. The chop was excellent but the sides were meh. Overall lovely spot with nice service. The music was great! The venue on the patio was nice but they couldn't get the heaters working once it cooled down. The food was OK. The service was awful! 20 minutes to get a menu and that only after calling someone over. Then 20 minutes to a half an hour between each course each time having to call someone over. The main course was missing its side dish and no one thought to tell us. The dessert took almost a half an hour, even though the restaurant was empty and it was a cold dessert. Café Arrivederci's service was very personable and attentive. I ordered the Ravioli di Spinaci--the pasta was done perfectly al dente and the tangy Meyer lemon cream sauce was absolutely delirious. My companion chose the rigatoni and a Pinot Grigio. Toward the end of our meal, a live guitarist was softly playing. Nice touch! We were grateful they turned off the last big screen TV when we requested. I found the movement on the TV incongruous to the lovely ambiance. read more

I normally love this place so I feel bad for writing a bad review. Alas, I made a reservation tonight for NYE dinner. The place was packed which is great (I'm always glad to see local businesses doing well). However, after we got our drinks, we waited for 50 minutes and no one came by to take our food order. We ended up trying to flag someone down to pay for our drinks and then we sadly left to find food elsewhere. We did get free drinks, but no NYE meal. read more

On a hot Sunday night, our party of six dined at Arrivederci. We have been here a few times but I don't remember their food and service lacking. First, there is one server for the entire restaurant. This means she takes the orders and checks up on you. She will bring the dishes with a helper and that's it. There were about 8 tables inside and a couple of patrons outside. She did the rounds alright but I feel for her. Next, the AC here does not work. It would have been better to sit outside as maybe there will be some breeze. We have asked to turn up the AC but it didn't do any good. For food....oh gosh. The food is ok, I remember it being good before. If you look at the pics, the black ink risotto looks un- appetizing and it was also not good. This was their special dish for the day. Do not get it. I am hoping this time was a fluke. read more

We have had our staff party here for 2 years in a row and both experiences were amazing! This year we had Julia as our hostess and she was very helpful, cheerful and welcoming! I ordered the special which was the (forgot the name) spaghetti with mussels, clams, and lobster in a creamy red sauce. I also had Mexican love as my cocktail which has Mezcal in it so if you are into Mezcal you will like the hint of spice and smokey-ness to it! My food was AMAZING! The lobster is sweet and juicy! The mussels and clams tasted fresh and the sauce compliments so well! I also tried my colleagues' food : the Gnocchi was tender and savory, the Ravioli ala Arrivederci was also sooo good! Its sweet and savory and the butternut squash with bits of prosciutto in it gives that great balance! We had a large crowd so we were in a private room which was great because we were able to celebrate my birthday and do our exchange gifts! The room was cozy and spacious! First time that I come after it closed now with Brunch menu on Saturday and Sundays from 11:00am to 2:00 pm I tried this Benedict's which were delicious , I'm a Benedict's Lover and they are simply delicious . The house potatoes that accompanied the Benedict's had a very unique flavor compared to other places . Food is very good ( I had a French toast for dessert but I ate it before the pics ) Customer service was great out waitress was very friendly and recommended our dessert and was delicious ! I love going to Arrivederci. The restaurant is a hidden gem in San Rafael. The restaurant is well-appointed and spacious. It has a wonderful happy hour with choices of wine and spirits. I have eaten here several times with a group and with friends. The service is friendly and good. If the bar is full, they allow you to sit in other areas of the restaurant. There are a couple of different rooms, a small banquet room that seats about 15 or 20 and the outside patio is very nice, has a friendly setting, and has pergola awnings. The Lasagna is to die for and can easily be eaten for 2 meals. The pizza has generous sausage with added mushrooms and other ingredients. It worth the visit. read more
