Food was good, I personally liked the signature fried chicken. We also ordered the seafood pancake which was also pretty good, but we barely tasted any seafood. Service was kind and fast, probably because we were the only ones there. Inside had pop culture blasting on the speakers and on the TVs, pretty nice for a bar. Food overall was alright and this is a one and done place for me.
We came here for karaoke and arrived early to reserve a room. With just three of us, they were able to accommodate us easily. The deal was to spend $150 on food and drinks, plus $2 per song for karaoke. I appreciated that the bathrooms were clean, which is always a nice touch. The food was great, and we ordered a lot of soju--but as a light drinker, I didn't feel the effects, which made me think it might have been watered down. Other than that, it's always a fun experience with karaoke, and I really enjoy Korean food!

Came here many years ago, still the same layout today. However, their food remains SOLID! Sooo good you guys!! We had a Karaoke room and it's $2 per song... it used to be $1 when I first came here. ( blame inflation am I right? lol ) No designated parking stalls but lots of street parking all around the block. Service was great. We came tonight, Monday evening at around 9pm. Our microphone was having a little problem but got fixed. Melona soju was yum! It matches very well with the dishes we ordered.
We had a group of friends that went to Cafe Duck Butt's located in town. I've been here before but it was years ago. I forgot how it looked. First, the karaoke equipment is way out dated. The lyrics don't match the words. My $100 Amazon karaoke kit works way better and it's easy to use. Second, the rooms are old, small and dirty. Needs to be updated or maybe even put some decorations up. I understand it's a hole in the wall place but at least spend money to update EVERYTHING. Customers are spending a lot of money for rooms to rent out. Third, we booked our room from 8-11. The waitress came in 10 minutes prior and told us we needed to wrap it up because they had another party coming in at 11 on the dot. That's fine for us because we aren't cleaning anything but I would suggest they have breaks in between each party! Instead of doing back to back parties. We had so much food and drinks on the table. I'm pretty sure they didn't do a good cleaning. Because when we got in our room it felt dirty and smelled. Forth, DO NOT waste your money on the Soju. You will leave a diabetic or rotten teeth. It was all sugar and watered down! Not a fan! The worst thing about the drinks is the bar ran out of glass cups apparently. So we were given shot glasses. How the heck did a bar run out of glasses?! Can't say too much about the food, I wasn't a fan at all. I can say the waitresses and bartenders were great. There was one that had an attitude and didn't seem too happy but she was easily replaced by a great waitress. The rude waitress came in our room maybe 3 times in 3 hours. We had to keep going out to the bar area for drinks. Honestly, not sure we will ever be visiting again.
Wow, what a fun discovery for soju & korean beer food. We ordered Kimchi fried rice, Mochiko Chicken, kimchi with tofu, and strawberry soju. We originally were in the area to check out another cocktail spot, but after finding out they were closed for a private event, a local told us about Cafe Duck Butt being a cool spot nearby to go to instead. We're really happy we ended up here. The food was great, soju was tasty and came in a large jug with shot glasses, and the music was loud. There was a good variety of soju flavors to choose from. There were a couple of private rooms for parties to have private karaoke in, and we were in the main dining room with the bar and main floor tables. We're happy we came and would recommend this place to anyone who's a fan of soju and Korean food.
Parking is horrendous down here, be careful where you park because it'll be private property, blocked off , coned off etc and you'll get towed. There were only two or three staff members and all unfortunately they had bad attitudes except for the bar tender. There's a bathroom located in the back, music playing out loud and karaoke. I suggest going earlier if you wanna beat the crowds. It was difficult to have a conversation here because we couldn't hear each other without yelling. The soju is bomb! We got 3 to 4 different flavors and everything we ordered off the menu was killer tasty.
I came here on a whim. My buddy suggested it. The parking was scarce. But there was one available in the back of the building. The walkway to get there is uneven and the concrete is breaking up. Watch your step. We were seated quickly. The server was friendly and attentive. I got a couple beers and the calamari. The calamari was a bit tough for my liking but we ate it anyway. When it was time to check out, I was given a pen that fell apart and leaked all over my hands. The waitress brought a wet napkin and assisted me with wiping my hands. Overall, the service was great. But I don't particularly like the parking situation and the food, even though I only tried one dish. I probably won't be back.
Ahhh i love coming here! It's one of my fav bars on Oahu. They are only open until midnight now because c out covid but i still had so much fun. The kimchi pancake was the best part of the night. It was chewy and crunchy and freaking bombbbb, it disappeared within 20 minutes haha The ddukbokki was super spicy, just How It should be! Our server was awesome she was so nice and attentive. The music was great and the vibes inside were overall fun, had an awesome time
I love the food here! The Korean fried chicken is sooo good. I tried the garlic soy chicken and the flavor and texture was so yummy. The chicken was crunchy and moist all at the same time! Next time I am going to try the gochujang fried chicken. My mom makes this for me at home, so sometimes I am hesitant to try it at restaurants. But their garlic soy fried chicken was just so yummy so I am definitely going to try the gochujang next time! The Korean tacos were also out of this world. They were huge and super flavorful with the pork and kimchi with salad. How innovative to make Korean tacos! I had never had anything like this before back home on the mainland. I will order the Korean tacos again, for sure. This place also has karaoke rooms which is super cool. The service is also super cool and friendly. They can all help you pick something delicious on the menu to try if you have never been here before. I would definitely bring family and friends here for good times and good food.
Let's start with the one good thing. The food. Thankfully, Duck Butt's food is still amazing. Literally the only thing worth going here for. 5 stars. Ambiance is still the same. It's a dive bar with karaoke. Their karaoke system has changed & definitely not for the better. We spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to select songs with no success. My boyfriend had to go out & ask one of the waitresses what to do. To which she replied as if we should've known, "There's a QR code outside..." Would've been nice if that was mentioned when we were being showed to the room. I scan the code & am unable to download the SongBook Master because, get this, the app Duck Butt uses isn't available because my android is too new. It is new (sort of). It's an S23 Ultra. But I have recently been to other karaoke establishments that also require you to use a QR code to access their karaoke system & my newer version of Android worked just fine. Anyway. The Service. If I could give negative stars, I would. I walk in & let them know we have a reservation. One of the girls asks my boyfriend & I if we'd like to sit at the bar while we wait for the rest of our party to come because the room is really cold. So we did. The bartender didn't seem to like that though because this girl had quite the attitude. If you don't want people sitting at the bar, why are you even working here? Mind you, Duck Butt was dead. 1 table seated & 1 other dude at the bar. And now my bf & I. That's it. Fast forward to our time in the karaoke room. We were in the room for about 5 hours & were constantly ordering food & drinks. To give you an idea of how much we were ordering, our bill was well over $400. 80% of the time, we had to go out & order our drinks. I counted 4 times that a waitress came in to actually check on us. Otherwise all they did was drop off the drinks that we had to go out to the bar & order. The last drink my boyfriend ordered, he had to go out & ask for 3 times because they were too busy tending to an emty bar. Idk if Duck Butt is going to close down soon so they don't give 2 shits, or if they just have the world's worst bartender/waitresses, but if it's the latter & they're not shutting down, they need to find people that actually care about working there. Don't accept people's reservations if you don't want them to come to your establishment. On top of the terrible service, they charged us 20% tip on the taxed total of our bill, not the subtotal. Let's be clear. It wasn't a suggested tip. They had already added it onto our bill. You're not supposed to charge people tip on taxes. I would honestly never come back here unless friends of mine insist they want to go to Duck Butt. Even then, I would try to convince them to go elsewhere. The service is that terrible.
I haven't been here in over 8 years! I brought my bf to try it out for the 1st time. We looked up menu on Google and their pupu menu was $5 per item. It said their happy hour was till 8pm. When we got here there was no $5 pupu happy hour, so that was disappointing. I guess the menu on google was outdated. BUT the food was yummy!!! We had the kimchee jun, mochiko chicken, shrimp tempura, sweet potato tempura, & soy garlic chicken wings. It was not very packed, food cane out fast and service was good!

No, you didn't mishear, it' actually called Duck Butt. And if you still don't get it, check the graffiti of a cute duck showing his happy tail feathers when you walk in. I'm sure how the place was named is an interesting story, but all that aside, this place is awesome! Sitting in their dining room and hanging out is cool, but I come here for their private karaoke rooms. You can order food and drink off the menu and there's no additional fee for the room; you just feed the machine $1 per song. They have a good song selection of English, of course Korean, and Japanese. Their sound system is pretty good too. Their soju watermelon is good (like literally, half a watermelon hollowed out and filled with soju goodness) but I like their soju shakers too. They come in flavors like Taro, Green tea, Lilikoi... my favourite is the Cucumber soju! Good food, good drinks, and karaoke... you really can't go wrong! I do wish they had more private rooms, since they fill up fast, but at least they take reservations ahead of time. Plan in advance and you should be fine. read more
I loved this place...looks were very deceiving. I thought the food was pretty good, service was excellent and Mago Soju pretty tasty. Great place to stop and and a drink and pupu. Parking can be a challenge, but welcome to Hawaii. Leave the parking to valet. Overall good experience and I will return for a different flavor of Soju and when I am not driving. Cheers... read more

Me and the Fam stopped by here before the Jo Koy show to pregame. This was the first time I've been there, we parked at the Blaisdell and walked to Cafe Duckbutt, which was a good thing because parking is a little hard to come by around there. We got there around 5pm right when they opened up but noticed a lot of tables had reserved placards on them, but the hostess was able to give us a booth, there was about 9 of us. We started ordering of their happy hour menu and as the food kept coming out it seem each dish was getting better & better...there was nothing I didn't like it was all great!!! We tried a bunch of different sojus they had, they were all good. By the time we had to leave the place was packed and we were feeling good...can't wait to come back again read more

This is a great bar to go to with a group of friends. Parking can be challenging at times as it's street parking only (unless you opt to valet). I would suggest making a reservation. For the longest time I thought you could only reserve rooms (which they have a few of, for karaoke parties), but apparently you can also reserve a table. Without one, you'll be standing outside or inside along the wall awkwardly for a while. First off, not gonna lie, watermelon soju is a little overrated. Kind of pulpy. But the novelty of the soju coming in a carved-out watermelon is probably what keeps people coming back for this $30 menu item. All of the soju is good -- $20 a pitcher. Melona is probably my favorite. Last time I was there was in December, and I didn't see the Latte Soju on the menu, which is disappointing because it was one of my favorites. Once you get a good buzz going, you'll be ready to sing your heart out! It's a $1 a song, whether you're at a table or in a room (which there's no additional fee to reserve). Also do yourself a favor and get the cheese fries. God, they are delicious. read more
This place has a good list of happy hour items. The soju selections and food are tasty and reasonable in price!!! I haven't tried karaoke here yet, maybe next time. The place is small, has a descent crowd, and offers valet parking for free. It's a chill hot spot. Service gets slow when place gets filled out. read more

Their house special fried chicken is sooooooo good! 4 large pieces for $15 doesn't sound worth it, but it is!! It also comes with pickled daikon and is served with a salt and pepper mixture to dip which is genius! I love it. And with $20 flavored soju pitchers, you can't go wrong! Everything else on the menu is more on the pricey side. My friend ordered the spicy pork and it wasn't that much food for $15. Bummer. The customer service is good, decor is cute, and the bathrooms are usually very clean. Valet for parking, unless you can find a spot on the street. read more

One of those GREAT hole in the wall, side street Korean dives. Fantastic variety of pupus. Their poke with chili oil is ono (if you like super spicy hot stuff.). The watermelon soju is a must to enjoy among friends and the lilikoi soju is off the hook. BEST ADVICE - TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR FREE VALET PARKING. TIP THEM GOOD TOO!! read more

Don't be fooled, while this bar is unapologetically a Korean bar, it's not a buy-me-drinkee bar. Cheap drinks and a friendly staff make this one of my favorite establishments to unwind after work or to meet up with friends on the weekends. The private karaoke rooms get taken fast with good reason as they are free ($1 per song on the karaoke machine). The food is honestly on par with (or better than) most of the Korean restaurants in town and they are at non-bar prices. I highly suggest the rapokee and the kimchee jun :) read more

Overall, it's a great little place. A little loud with the karaoke but nothing too bad. Beautiful eye candy working and great service. Prices were slightly higher than I expected to pay for a dive bar but not horrible. I was on a motorcycle so parking was no issue but I can imagine if they are busy it is an issue with a car. read more

This little place is pure awesome! Highly recommend visiting if you are in Hawaii. The parking situation isn't great so I also highly recommend an Uber! They also only have one person bathrooms... This isn't the business when drinking! We all know females have to wait in lines to go but you'll be waiting a little longer here when they are busy. The food was good and came out quick! Try the watermelon soju it's amazing! Super yummy and refreshing... Not super strong either. My inly regret is not going back for more! read more

Came here when Happy Hour started on a weekday. Ordered the Watermelon soju. So fun to ladle drinks from a cored out watermelon! No Happy Hour reduced price for the Watermelon soju; priced fixed at $30. We made it last longer by adding ice. Also ordered the Melona soju. Both drinks were tasty separately as well as mixed! For pupus, we ordered the Mochiko Chicken, Fried Chicken, Seafood Pancake, Kim Chee Fried Rice, Chives Pancake, Spicy Pork, and fries. There was a pretty lengthy wait for food, but they came out hot and everything tasted great. The chicken was moist. The surprising favorite for our table was the Chives Pancake. The crispy batter and the chives tasted great with the dipping sauce. We watched a lot of Korean music videos. I think this visit was the first time I learned what "Gangnam Style" was because the place played the video on repeat. The people in the karaoke rooms near the entrance were loud, but it just added to the fun atmosphere. I would come back again for Happy Hour even though I work the next day! read more

Watermelon soju and karaoke! What more can you ask for? The watermelon soju is a little expensive, but it's soooooooooo tasty! I'm a fan of karaoke as well and at this place, it's only $1 a song! Just remember to bring cash with you. I dont remember what other food items we ordered as I was with a large group, but they did have a full bar which was nice. A couple things that sucked were parking and the temperature. It was pretty hot in the karaoke room, but I still had fun =) Definitely going back! read more

Went here for happy hour with my cousin and loved the food. $5 for fried mandoo was worth it cus i think there was at least a dozen in there. Came here last night for a good few hours to unwind after a long week of working extended hours. The key is to make reservations if you've got a big party; the place fills up quickly! We had a group of 6, and thankfully we managed to get into a karaoke room (even though we weren't sure if we were going to get a room or not). Keep in mind, that the happy hour is from 5pm to 8pm; hence the busy status. Very chill environment, good for socializing (but need to be loud if you're in the main area; your voice drowns out when there are a lot of people). Happy hour prices were decent and good; we ordered 3 carafes of cocktail soju, 2 orders of kimchee fried rice, fried chicken, mochiko chicken, edamame, mandoo, and fried sweet potato. The fact that the rooms are free and that you pay $1 per song on the karaoke machine are a plus; most places nowadays typically charge you for the room if the songs are free. You give and take here and there. So if you're a singing group, i'd definitely take advantage of this. We parked valet because we didn't want to bother with having to find parking. Don't forget to tip the soul who manages to find a good spot for your car. I'll definitely be going back with my friends; we were rockin' all night. read more

Came here yesterday for my friends birthday. They rented out a room and I was surprised how many people were able to fit in it! Even if the soju may be over priced, it is definitely worth it because it is so good! And they have a good deal of different flavors that you will definitely want to try. My favorite would have to be the melon flavor. It tastes just like a green melona bar! Yogurt soju is good too. And lemon. I was surprised that the lemon soju tasted as good as it tastes because I am not really a lemon flavor gal. I also love the atmosphere that Duck butt has. If you're with a good group of people who are willing to pay $1 a song for karaoke, then I am sure you will have a great time! I'm sure after enough soju shots, no one is shy anymore ;) The food at Duck butt is delicious too! Kim Chee pancake and the chicken were favorites. They had free valet parking the last time I went. That was SUPER CONVENIENT because the parking in that area sucks. It was pouring too so no one was about to walk from street parking far away. Mad props to the valet man at the time because he was running in and out of cars and getting soaked. Thank you so much! read more

Found this really awesome karaoke place in hawaii! Came here with a local friend of mine when we went to Oahu for vacay. Been here a couple times. Their english selection is pretty selected... they don't even have the popular old songs that MOST other korean places have.. odd...You also have to be brave enough to sing to the rest of the restaurant as well! but yummy food there... full korean dinner menu there. I especially love their gehran jim, which is their steamed egg. They also serve your typical soju, and also do mixed drinks as well! read more

Came here during the end of happy hour, which was from 5-8pm. Valet parking is free, which is great for being located in an area where parking is difficulty to find. All the tables were taken so we sat at the bar. Soju cocktails were $13 and there are more flavors since the last time I came here. We ordered the Lilikoi soju, which is a must try. If you like passion fruits, this serious taste just like juice but sojus are a creeper. It did hit me towards the end of the bottle. For food we just ordered mandoo since we came from another bar and grill already. I don't know if it was the soju hitting me, but the mandoo were so good- crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Will be coming back next time to try more of their HH food and soju cocktails. read more

I don't usually frequent karaoke bars but I've been hearing so much about the food here I had to come experience it for myself. Yes, the area is not very pretty but you'll be fairly surprised once you step inside. It's a very chill bar with a few private booths, tables, karaoke rooms and a karaoke stage. Our group reserved one of the karaoke rooms which was a decent size for 6 people. We quickly browsed the menu because their half off specials were about to end (get there before 8 p.m.!). I think we ordered just about everything on the menu. Some of our faves were the kim chee pancakes and the mochiko chicken. We also tried the Korean tacos which were okay. They sort of skimped on the meat but they were flavorful for sure. The kim chee mochi dish was also very good if you like spicy food! Also don't forget to order some flavored soju. I liked the melona flavored one the best! As for the karaoke, the songs were $1 each. So make sure you bring some $1 bills to feed the machine. They don't have a lot of new songs but there's a nice selection of oldies and goodies so you can get your fix. I'd probably come back again for the food and drinks, and not so much for the karaoke. I'll save the screeching for Krazy's. read more

Came here for the first time with 2 friends, not a bad crowd for a Sunday. We ordered the deal with 3 soju and 2 appetizers i want to say it was $60 (friend paid) we ordered the original fried chicken and spicy wings. Both were so delicious. Im thinking about how good they were tight now lol...service was a little slow but ok...will definitely be back. read more
