I needed fun/ unique desserts after getting so many cupcakes from another bakery. To this place I came. It's actually so close to Microsoft city center and it's hidden. It's a cute little place with ample spaces in between tables. I like! I mainly came for their adorable piggy buns so I didn't try other dim sum items on the menu. But I did try their Sakura mojito! It was so pretty and so refreshing!! Just gorgeous pink and pretty afternoon pick me up minus alcohol ( a ok on workdays). Piggy Buns! Super cute these ones are. Comes in 4 flavors. Salted egg yolk custard ( gooey inside) Custard Taro ( yum) Red bean (dry) But cuteness: 100 % I got takeout a few times since for my get togethers. My girlfriends LOVE these cute buns. I stopped by on a Friday, just like other reviews mentioned, there is only street parking. It was quite busy that day but I did manage to find a spot. I got an iced crema taro latte with a spicy hk sandwich. The drink came faster than the sandwich for obvious reasons. Between the two things I ordered, I would recommend the Spicy HK Sandwich but probably would try a different drink. I thought the pork floss and the sweetness of the pineapple bun that was used as the bread to be a pleasant contrast. The spicy mayo wasn't evenly spread throughout my sandwich so I was able to see how it was like without it and I actually prefer it that way. The crema taro latte was very milk-y rather than taro so if you like a lighter taro flavor, this might be up your alley but it wasn't mine. It's a reasonable cafe to try and work from as the benches next to the windows all seemed to have outlets. Overall, I thought this cafe was pretty cute. Cafe Aloe is my favorite cafe in Bellevue! They offer a variety of dim sum style snacks like dumplings, egg tarts, buns, as well as delicious breakfast sandwiches with char siu/shrimp/spam!!! It's located inside of the apartment building Ceresa just across from the lobby entrance. There's plenty of seating inside as well as outside on the balcony when the weather is nicer, so it's a really great place to come with your laptop, iPad, or book and get a little bit of work done. I often go here for their drinks - my favorites from their standard menu are the Sea Salt Crema and Cookies and Crema Lattes. The crema is delicious, a little salty, and not too sweet. I just went today to try their seasonal February drink, the Strawberry Tiramisu Latte and it's SOOO delicious! I love that they're innovative and always coming up with new, exciting things to make. Their animal themed buns are adorable (I've seen them do a tiger and bunny version, as opposed to the standard piggy). They also will occasionally announce specials and frequently share new menu items in their instagram! If you are thinking of visiting for the cuteness of the piggy buns, please do! They are just as adorable in person. The steamed bun and sweet custard inside are tasty as well. We also tried the egg tart, which was a solid classic egg tart -- flaky and sweet. The decor is a bit more spartan compared to some other cafes. They do have a pretty large space, which I feel like they could do more with such as adding more plants, although there is a cute photo-worthy wall with greenery and a neon sign. We came later in the day and a number of items were sold out -- not sure if this is typical and if it would be better to come earlier in the day. There's an espresso menu along with some other drinks. The food menu consists of Asian pastries plus actual food like dumplings and sandwiches. My client told me to ordered the crispy Hong Kong sandwich if I get a chance to stop by here, it comes with fluffy egg and your choice of spam or sausage. The bun has a pineapple flavor crust on it so it's a bit sweeter. It was a very spacious cafe with outdoor seating when weather permits in Seattle, realistically we're talking about 2-3 months out of the year here. Cafe Aloe has a menu that contains many of my childhood favorites from Hong Kong, and the quality is good! What is not to love? The Hong Kong Sandwich is, in my opinion, to die for. The Crispy BBQ Pork Bun, the Pineapple Bun, and the Green Onion Bun are all very good. I also LOVE their Twisted Sausage Bun but haven't been able to find it lately. The steamed Piggy Bun is cute and great for Instagram, but the outer layer of bun is a bit thicker and less fluffy than I would like. When it comes to Hong Kong Milk Tea, I am a hopeless addict and grew up drinking a bucket of it a day. I find the Hong Kong Milk Tea here to be a bit too sweet. Same goes for the Original Egg Tart. I suspect Cafe Aloe modified the level of sweetness to adapt to the American palate. The authentic Hong Kong style milk tea and egg tart have a more subtle sweetness. That said, everything on the menu is worth trying, especially if you have never had these delicious goodies. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and has a minimalist modern decor. What a cute new cafe on the Eastside! I loved the lighting inside immediately when I stepped into this space. They have a unique menu of tasty bites and drinks to keep you sustained during your studies or workday. I loved that they sell cute little pins with spam musubi and other funny characters on them. I couldn't resist the Bernie in the coat and mittens and was so excited to purchase the last one! I went in the morning on a Saturday, so luckily there were a few parking spots left on the street. Cute and clean little café. Staff is friendly and great customer service. I ordered the Grapefruit Mojito and molten custard Piggy Bun for the Yelp event, and added two more Piggy Buns and a Crispy BBQ Pork Bun. The Grapefruit Mojito was so delicious and refreshing (add rum to it, and it would've been perfect. Lol.) The Cripsy BBQ Pork Bun had a good texture and was lightly sweet, and the bbq pork was very flavorful. Just wished it had more filling. I really wanted to try the Spam Musubi HK sandwich but they were waiting on a fresh batch of pineapple buns. They were out of a few other food items so I opted for the Crispy BBQ Pork Bun which was tasty but overpriced in my opinion. I had a taste of my friend's Match Latte which was also good. It had a nice, balanced matcha flavor. It took about 15 min to get our food, I think because they were in the midst of making more buns, so not sure if the wait is typical. If you come here, you better get the juicy, runny molten custard piggy bun cuz it's CUTE and it's also DELISH! I can definitely see this place being a fun place to hang out in pre & post COVID-19 times. Cafe Aloe is located downstairs of the Cerasa Apartments with limited street parking. I ordered the cute Piggy Buns, which come in three flavors and their associated colors: Orange (Custard), Yellow (Taro), and Pink (Molten Custard). The Piggy Buns tasted like their flavors and were fun to eat since they were so adorable! I also tried the Matcha Egg Tart and Creme Brulee Egg Tart. The Matcha Egg Tart was interesting and definitely tasted like matcha, but I don't how I feel about it and would probably prefer the original. The Creme Brulee Egg Tart reminded me of a Portuguese egg tart, but not exactly. I think having my fair share of Portuguese egg tarts ruined my experience of the Creme Brulee version. I would love to return and try the drinks off the menu, such as the Sparkling Fruit Drinks (Grapefuit Mojito, Raspberry Mojito, and Peach Mojito) and the Hong Kong Milk Tea. This place is within walking distance (like, a three minute walk) from where I live and I met some friends on a Saturday morning. There is retail parking as well as street parking in front. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee with coconut milk ($5), the shu mai ($4.50 for 3), and the BBQ pork bun ($2.75). The drink is one of their most popular and I'm not the biggest fan of coconut but I ordered it anyway. I couldn't taste much of the coconut even with coconut flakes on top so I guess that was good or bad depending on how you think of it. I probably wouldn't get the coconut milk next time as the drink itself was already pretty good. I thought the meat on the shu mai was a little tough and bland and I was not a huge fan. If you are a fan of Duk Li dim sum, in Chinatown. It is coming to Bellevue with a more attention and focus high-quality dim sum. I definitely highly recommend you to try their flaky bun. This should be a Michelin or James Beard quality. The dim sum or made freshly here. I love the cute Porky Bao. I love the fact include Vietnamese coffee with coconut cream for the folks with lactose intolerance a.k.a. Asian people. These nice little touches are quite amazing. The taro was a little plain in my opinion (would pass on this one), I am used to having taro a bit sweeter. The regular custard was definitely my favorite with a filling that wasn't too overly sweet. Overall, none of them were anything special but I'd say they are still worth checking out. For drinks, we ordered the sakura mojito (non-alcoholic) which had a light floral taste and was very refreshing. The taro latte was pretty solid as well. Super cute cafe! Love the cute simple decor. It's a nice quiet place to get some work done. It's not that big though so it can fill up quickly if it gets busy. Food and drinks are good. I really want to like this place. Why? Because this is literally kitty-corner to where I live and I want this to be my hangout spot. The space is bright - lots of white, open - an accented green wall and little succulents (the namesake "aloes") adorn each table. Who wouldn't feel great dropping in for work, chat, or lounging? I think I may have been *the* first paying customers as I arrived right at 10 am on the first day of soft open. And note that they are in soft open so I hope that they saw the kinks I did and will iron them all out by the time they get to hard open. I was especially excited by the Instagram posts leading up to the soft open, especially the post of a Vietnamese drip ca phe sua...so what do I immediately look to order after only barely glancing at the menu board? I order a Vietnamese coffee! BUT, it's only available iced. What?! Well, that won't do on this grey Seattle morning. I opt for a cappuccino instead. The cappucino was ...fine, i guess? Very milky, not much coffee or remarkable flavour. Not sure what beans they use - there's no "proudly brewing" sign anywhere so not Starbucks, Caffe Vita,...Trung Nguyen, dare I ask? I wanted some breakfast - they have some dim sum in the form of egg tarts, character custard buns, cha siu bao, and shu mai. I got the latter two. They were....fine, I guess? Actually the shu mai tasted slightly off and the csb was a little too doughy. Again, not sure where they get their food from. The food took forever to heat up, and no surprise as they were probably scrambling to get everything ready and in comes Customer #1 with a complex order. In the meantime while I'm waiting, I fail to eye the wifi password, which was posted on the counter facing away from where I was so I didn't know where to look until I got up for some cutlery. Hopefully they'll post the password more ubiquitously. The manager apologized for the obvious wait time and offered me a choice of egg tart. I went for the Creme Brûlée egg tart and it was delicious, especially with its burnt shell top! Bottom line is that this space and place shows promise. There's no other place in Bellevue where you can get Asian buns and coffee, and for a close walk to many major Bellevue employers this should be a destination for many. When my bestie was visiting for a few days, we needed to find a place to work remotely, so came here for a quiet place with caffeine and snacks. When we visited on a Monday afternoon, the place was quiet, with just a few customers getting takeout. Located on the retail level of the Cerasa Apartments in downtown Bellevue on 2nd Avenue, it's a little hard to spot. We drove here and attempted to park in the garage of the apartment building, as it indicated there was retail parking. However, the gate would not open. Not sure if they actually do offer retail parking, yet we fortunately, found street parking right outside the shop. But note, that it was only good for two hours. Towards the end of being here for two hours, I asked the employee if cars were actually monitored for overstaying their time limit and she said that parking enforcement does indeed ticket. While my friend ordered a taro latte and taro bun, I tried the Vietnamese iced coffee and the custard bun. Both of our buns were the cute piggy buns that they're known for here. I really liked my Vietnamese coffee; it was very strong and bold, and not so much sweet, which is how I prefer my coffee. However, the custard bun was A-OK. I wished there had been more custard filling, as it was mostly bun. Yet, the texture of the bun was nice. I'd be open to trying other items from the food menu. The space was bright from the natural light that came in through the large windows and there were many outlets by most of the seating. Plus, they have wifi here, which was handy for working remotely. I enjoyed using the space for working, and would do so again. Or to just visit for a Vietnamese iced coffee. My friend can't eat spicy foods so she asked to remove the spicy mayo from the sandwich, later on the worker came back and asked if she wanted regular mayo instead. I believe it was one of the owners who remembered our order and asked how the food was. Overall a 4.5/5, the sandwich was good and the Viet coffee could always be stronger but that's ok. They also have mini egg custards (dan tat) which come in three flavors, standard egg, creme brulee and matcha green tea. I liked the creme brulee the best! Really cute cafe shop located at Downtown Bellevue. They specialize coffee, drinks, and Asian pastries. They have a very inviting and cozy environment and the employees are friendly. They are now open for dine-in, they have few tables and chairs inside the cafe. The surroundings are very clean and the designs are very pleasing to the eyes. I am obsessed with their Hong Kong (HK) sandwich, it has a pineapple coating and crispy buns and it has eggs, cheese and spam (or sausage). It's big and it will definitely fill you up. It's very tasty and the pineapple coating gives a sweet kick to the sandwich. I highly recommend trying this sandwich. They also have very adorable piggy buns, which are also one of my faves. They have mustard, molten mustard and taro flavors. They are so cute, which makes them so hard to eat, but sure are very delicious! Great snacks or desserts. I've also tried their non alcoholic fruity mojito(sparkling) drinks, raspberry & grapefruit flavored, and they were so refreshing and fruity! Great for sunny weather! The spam and egg sandwich is my favorite indulgence when I'm in Bellevue. While it's not cheap, it's huge! I probably shouldn't eat that much in one sitting but it's so delicious. The pineapple bun is flaky, the eggs are fluffy, and the cheese and spam speak for themselves. It is truly peak comfort food. The dim sum they offer is pretty standard and clean tasting (har gow and siu mai) but not something I usually crave from them. They do have a variety of pastries, egg tarts, and other drinks which I also enjoy. read more

Wow always wanted to go here and I'm impressed! The food was amazing as well as the drinks. The sandwich was so unique having the sweet egg bun on top. The drinks weren't too sweet so that's a plus. The rest of the food were great. read more

Love, love, love. I was able to visit this cute little cafe and experience the yummies they have. I had an iced Vietnamese coffee and we tried the piggy buns with custard and the Hong Kong egg sandwich. Omg, I can't wait to go back. It's located in a quiet part of Bellevue well at least it was quiet when we went(Sunday) but so nice to be able to find parking on the street. It's simple inside with very clean aesthetic and an awesome backdrop for yes, selfies!!! The pics say it all... They say go, they say eat me and come back for more. The staff was very kind and helpful. The food was prepared with care. Can't wait for y'all to visit and share your thoughts too. read more

I have been wanting to try this place after seeing on IG. Had the molten and normal custard piggy's, the crème brûlée and regular egg tarts, coconut coffee and the spam Hong Kong sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and worth going back for sure. The molten custard was similar taste to a salty egg with a little sweetness, the custard one was really good. The egg tarts are what you would expect. Honestly the sandwich is the star for sure. Would go back and try the shu Mai and of course some more piggy's ! read more
