Just an amazing, easy to write ***** review - in my opinion…read more We went with a party of 7 on Mardi Gras - got stuck in parade traffic and 1/2 party was 30 minutes late. No problems w N7 - thank you. Server and Som were great - friendly, knew the menu (food and wine) inside and out, giving great suggestions. The food timing was just right for our large party given how many items ordered (on a very busy night). Our sommelier picked perfect pairings. As a table we order probably 12 different dishes +desert to share (this is way to go imo) and each was amazing in its own way. Unique sweet savory salty combos and great presentations. I am not going to go into details as it has been covered in photos and other reviews. The outside ambience was perfect with heat lamps - on a chilly night no one needed a coat. The lighting was soft/perfect and once you entered into the wooden door you are transported into a different world. I would recommend this for family, business meeting or date night. The prices were very reasonable for the service, ambiance and amazing food. We all were just thrilled with N7 / just make the reservation and be prepared for a great night!

We had the smallest table - it was hard to fit multiple dishes including drinks on it. The flies were everywhere. The outside is super stinking cute. We ordered the watermelon salad, some special crab dip, shrimp, the steak, creme brûlée, and the chocolate dessert. The pork In the crab dip was so over powering I couldn't taste the crab. Also our server was lacking. I would've ordered more drinks but he was too slow. The only things I would order again were the shrimp (royal reds) and the crème brûlée.

Service was friendly and attentive at all times. Our server was super helpful while deciding what to oder. We did a la carte. Started with the pig ears, which were flavorful and crispy. Then we shared the market salad - didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as we did! The pork belly was super tender and not too fatty. We also loved the curry and market fish as our entrees. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by the hostess. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered excellent recommendations that made ordering effortless. I started with the pig ears and had the fried chicken as my entrée, while my colleague chose the vegetarian option. You can find pig ears in Honolulu, but not prepared in this culinary style -- it was a creative and flavorful starter. The fried chicken was perfectly juicy and well-seasoned, and the honey butter added a delightful balance of savory and tangy sweetness. The ambiance was classy yet calm, making it ideal for both conversation and a relaxed dining experience. We also enjoyed lemon drop martinis with dinner -- crisp, refreshing, and the perfect complement to our meals. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot if you're looking to enjoy a refined and memorable dinner in New Orleans.

I'm really…read morenot sure why we needed reservations especially since the restaurant was only about 40% occupied. Our waitress was nice and attentive for the most part. She was a bit chatty but still nice. The menu wasn't extensive at all. The waitress did a good job at selling many of the menu options. I initially had the chicken with carrots and brussel sprouts. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and flavored well. The chicken however was very dry. When the waitress asked how it was, I told her how dry it was and she immediately bright me something else, which was the fish and chips. The fish was hot, crispy, and cooked to perfection. It was tender, however it lacked flavor and seasoning. I asked for hot sauce but never received it. I finally decided to ask for a to go box to take the remaining piece home. The chips "fries" were great. They were freshly cut real potato fries. They were hot and seasoned well. My significant other had the shrimp and grits which he thoroughly enjoyed. As an appetizer we had the salad. Seemed simple and basic enough but was actually very good. I'm unsure of the dressing it was tossed in but it was just enough and well flavored. We skipped on dessert. We considered the cookie plate but since nobody could tell us what kind of cookies they were, so we decided to pass. The best part about our dining experience was the ambiance. The music was nice and the decor was vibrant and swanky . I also had a mocktail flavored with pineapple, jalapeno, lime, mint, and cilantro. It was refreshing. I'm glad we had a chance to check it out before closing but I can honestly say there was no "WOW" factor and likely I wouldn't have been in a hurry to come back.

The service so friendly, and efficient. And the food, double wows, creative, ton of flavors, nothing out of place. So glad I finally made it, for Easter Sunday brunch no less. We started with cocktails, solid and refreshing. The small plates with fun--beignets with a great sauce and shrimp remoulade that was different in its white remoulade but truly fresh chilled shrimp. Outstanding. We went different ways on the mains, with a brilliant fish and chips plus the breakfast plate. So well prepared--devoured both. Justine is now firmly on my French Quarter list!

I'd previously sampled great bites from Chef/Owner Justin Devillier (2016 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: South) at a guest dinner in Charleston, as well as from Exec Chef Joseph Tiedmann at a Farm Dinner in West Palm Beach. But this was my first visit to "the mother ship", housed in a historic century-old building. I decided to start with the Fried Gulf Oysters - Sofrito Purée, Chowchow & Pickled Sweet Peppers, and was glad I did. There's no shortage of oyster dishes in NOLA, and this was a big winner. Next up, when in the South, why not order Fried Green Tomatoes - Burrata, Country Ham & Oregano? Another terrific plate, perhaps the best FGT dish I've had! Finally, my "target dish" arrived, the Shrimp & Okra Gumbo with Andouille, Collard Greens & Popcorn Rice. Really, really good. Very dark roux, as I like, and with plenty of seafood flavor, but more depth as well. Definitely one of the best gumbos I've ever enjoyed. I was happy to visit La Petite Grocery at lunch, where they offer up the full menu available for dinner too, of course. Highly recommended, and I can't wait to return to try much much more.

The fried goat was great and savory almost like marrow. Wish the cheese was a little crunchier on outside for some contrast but enjoyed. The rabbit was almost tasteless. The mildest I've had and even the batter lacked flavor. Disappointing. All the accompaniments had all the flavor and were good. Especially the schnitzel noodles. The chocolate tart was a miss. Not like a Twix as someone mentioned. Almost impossible to stick your spoon through and I work out. Seriously shouldn't have to struggle that much. Needs a more flavorful crust, less caramel and more chocolate. They should rename this to caramel tart. The bday ice cream was fantastic and probably saved them from a 3 star review from me so I didn't have to leave on a negative note. The espresso wand was caked with milk froth which should never be. They did clean it but makes me think they don't clean after each pull. Should never see that.

The…read morerestaurant was practically empty, except for a couple of businessmen who looked like they planned a dinner and meeting combo, lol. But that on top of the emptiness makes sense with the location, hotel, day and time. Pam took care of us and was a joy as our server. She knew the menu very well and was able to answer all our questions on top of being helpful and productive throughout our visit. We had the skirt steak and king Salmon with a side of fries and stuffed potatoes. The skirt steak was cooked to medium and it was amazingg! Pam asked how I'd like it cooked and suggested it to be cooked at medium rare. I couldn't do that since I'm barely starting to get used to my steaks being cooked at medium, but it was still absolutely delicious. The sauce that was glazed on top, as well as the seasoning of the steak killed it!! The salmon was also delicious. Very flavorful. The stuffed potatoes were ok, we liked their side of fries more than that. Drinks were tasty and refreshing. Worth the price. We also got dessert, a chocolate cake and apple pie. I wasn't expecting to like the apple pie, but wow was that good! And the chocolate cake isn't just any boring cake. Once you break the cake, a chocolaty liquid melts out onto your plate, it was perfection. The restaurant itself is beautiful. They're located on the 14th (if I'm not mistaken) floor and have the best location for beautiful views of downtown New Orleans and the waterfront. I'm still thinking about that special sauce on the skirt steak (heart eyes). Thank u for a wonderful dinner!

Was a bit surprised…read morethat this was the only nice steak house I could get a reservation for the day of, and had my choice of times. In spite of the Yelp ratings, that should have been a huge red flag. Ordered the Old Fashioned from the menu that was very good. Tried to find a bottle of Cabernet for under $150. There were none and only one cab by the glass at $30, so we opted for that (that same bottle sold for $165...math doesn't add up). The menu does not have a lot of variety. No garden salad, so I started with the gumbo. It was good, but would have been better with some bread. We each ordered the ribeye medium with a side of mushrooms and a twice baked potato. The sides were excellent, but the steak was over cooked. To make matters worse, our server was not paying attention so I had to ask another to have our server or a manager come over. The manager came by and promptly took both steaks away to have them remade and comped us another glass of wine. Nice gesture. However, the second steaks were no better than the first. I asked the manager if he really considered what we were looking at to be medium. He assured me it was and held the table light by the steak so I could see it better. You can see by the picture of the second steaks that it was not cooked right either. When the check came, they comped one of the steaks, but not both. Not sure what their logic was, as neither of us ate much of either. Told the server the same and Mr. Manager came back over with both comped. Apparently they were trying to get every red cent out of the few people in the joint!
