    Penne Vodka. Yummy!
    Lindsey A.

Out of all my time living in the area, I don't think I've ever had anything from Capuano's before, not even their pizza. Except maybe when I was younger and didn't pay attention to such things. My boyfriend wanted to get Italian for takeout and I figured we'd try out Capuano's. The place was doing pretty well for curbside pickup (this post is coming at you live from the age of COVID) so I figured that was a good sign! We called ahead and lined up for our order and some employees walked out our stuff in a big takeout box which was helpful for carrying hot foods! I ordered the penne vodka and my boyfriend got the chicken parm. We each were packed a piece of bread and small side salads. My penne vodka was flavorful and very saucy and I really liked it! Obviously got a pretty big portion since most Italian restaurants do that, and I had meals for days! The chicken parm was portioned nicely and satisfied my boyfriend's needs. I've also since tried their penne vodka pizza that my brother ordered, and that was pure carb heaven for me! The prices are slightly higher than other similar Italian restaurants in the area, but it's good to know that I have another good Italian spot to turn to when I get a craving. Definitely recommend.

    Cheesesteak

Great place to just swing by and grab something to eat. Nice size menu with reasonable pricing, Clean space and friendly staff members. The Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak Wrap ($7.99) was a smidge bit greasy but only tiny oozes, nothing major as it was still enjoyable. Wish the fries were a bit crispier though but for the price, I can't complain all too much.

Stuffed mushrooms, crabmeat. You can taste the lemon and oregano. So good!

This restaurant is a hidden jewel at the cusp of East Windsor. The food is extremely tasty and fresh. Complimentary garlic bread was warm, buttery, and garlicky! Loved it! The stuffed mushrooms were my favorite! The Bronzino fillet was so tender! And my chicken capuano was good, but the chicken itself had NO flavor. The key is the sauce!

Chicken Maximo- looks good but tastes bad !
    Nikhil M.

Very disappointing . Food -2 * . Though the menu looks tempting , the food served lacks the quality . Everything that we ordered was way below average other than the bread. The minestrone soup was awful, the Maximo chicken felt like a first attempt at a dish by an amateur chef and the lemon shrimp - over cooked and tasteless. The service -3 *..it was difficult to get hold of the guys to serve us ! The place itself is hard to find .. A very poorly lit board and the name of the restaurant written on the board is so small that you can easily miss this. I do not believe this place deserves a second chance ...try at your own risk !

Lamb Chop with mushroom, potato and broccoli rabe
    Feny S.

Went to this place for dinner with some friends from work. The place was ok. When i first walked in, I thought it's just a typical pizza place but then I found out they have a separate section for a dine in section. I had lamb chop with broccoli rabe. It was okay, but not great. I just didn't find something special that would make me come back to the place. They're just okay.

Pathetic pizza. Sausage is WHERE!! Red onions??

Dropped it to fours stars after second visit. Pizza was not as great, and I was charged an unconscionable $1.30 for a cup of tap water.

In a space occupied by exactly four diners (including us), we were promptly asked if we had a reservation. I almost apologized for not booking six weeks in advance for this exclusive, high-demand experience. Then came our server, who seemed to believe we were all running a construction site together. Every sentence was punctuated with "boss," to the point where I started wondering if I was about to get assigned a shift schedule. I half-expected him to hand me a clipboard and ask if I approved the latest inventory order. Despite the unexpected managerial responsibilities, the food was solid, and once the initial awkwardness faded, the service landed somewhere between "acceptable" and "I guess I'll allow it." Overall, it was a good meal with a side of unintentional comedy. Would I return? Absolutely. But next time, I'll wear a hard hat and call ahead--just in case.

Let's talk service. It was nothing short of spectacular. Co-owners Vito and Jose run the dining room with such precision, warmth, and genuine care that you feel like a VIP the entire time. Their attention to detail is unreal, and watching them keep everything running flawlessly in a bustling, fast-paced environment is seriously impressive. And the food... my goodness, the food! I'd rather think it's a nice restaurant that offers pizza. They had me with the complementary marinated vegetables and bread basket. Everything was stellar. Eggplant Rollatini appetizer was just the way I like it. Chicken Parmesan was good not the best ever but very good. Nice fresh sauce. Linguine clams had a generous amount of fresh clam. The only disappointment of the night was the consistency of the carbonara. I always ask if they put cream in the carbonara, which is a sin. They said they did not, but the carbonara came out a too soupy for my taste. Maybe they added too much pasta water at the end I don't know, but that is my only ding on the night. I will definitely return.

I wanted pizza so bad so I went along with my husband's choice, even though I was apprehensive about this place regarding the pizza. Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately by the staff behind the pizza counter. When you walk in, the ordering counter is right there and you can choose to order to go or sit & dine in, as well as table service. We decided to dine in with table service. The area seemed small space wise but there were plenty of tables and it did not feel crammed. I luckily browsed reviews prior to visiting because they do not serve wine or beer but you can BYOB. We brought a bottle with us to open at the table. I do not recall being charged a corkage fee. Since I was craving pizza, hubs was also game, so we went with a large pie, with half pepperoni for hubs. We also ordered garlic knots, hoping they would be real knots instead of rolls. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was fresh. I was disappointed though because there was so much sauce on the pizza but hubs was happy since he loves extra sauce. I didn't think to ask for light sauce because there usually is not a lot of sauce on pizza up north but I learned my lesson. Hubs thought the pizza was good. The knots were rolls so I was disappointed on that aspect as well. We were in the area for a training Hubs had to attend and he had this place for lunch one day and said it was also good. The service was great and the food was okay, I would just ask for light sauce next time.

Both arrived at my table covered in oil, dripping with oil. I had to let it drip off, and then blotted the rest with napkins, but it was still totally oily. The crust was so thin that each slice fell apart into a bunch of torn pieces that I had to eat with a fork. I ordered a side salad of lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, onions, the usual. Nothing fancy - no olives or giardiniera or anything like that. I wanted oil and vinegar for dressing, and it was brought to me mixed together. I asked for separate vinegar and oil so I could dress the salad myself, and the server was gracious and brought it to me. After dressing the salad, I couldn't even eat it. What is it with pizzerias that use their greenest, heaviest, most strong tasting and bitter olive oil in a fresh salad? It overpowers the salad, and tastes awful. We don't do that in Italy. Salads need a light tasting, light golden olive oil so you can taste the components of the fresh salad and not be massacred by the heavy bitter taste of oil. I am astounded when Italian pizzerias and restaurants do this. The good news? The sauce on the pizza was fabulous. The bad news? $16.00 for this mess. And no refill offered on the soda.
