My wife and I walked to the Long Beach Promenade to check it out. Unlike the Farmer's Market that is held in the same area, recorded music blared from a DJ located at the center of the market, drawing you in. The 20 or so stalls were a mix of food vendors (some freshly prepared, mostly prepackaged) and folks selling crafts, jewelry and apparel. I didn't recognize any vendors from ones that I've seen at previous farmer's markets in the past. It's basically one block, so doesn't take long to peruse every vendor. Vendors were friendly, eager to inform/teach. Didn't end up buying anything this time, but good to know about this, since within walking distance.

And the chicken wings from Shlap Muan were amazing (we got Cambodian Dirt, Jalapeno MSG, Pekang, Water Buffalo, and Spicy Elephant). They are located just before you cross the bridge by 177 Ave on Vermont headed north before you get to the 91. They serve: Buche Suadero Cabeza Pollo Asada Chorizo Pastor Tripa Thwh were all good. The pollo was very good, considering most pollo tacos are dry, their's were not. All were seasoned well and you could tell the difference with seasoning in each, they did not taste the same, I will be back. I can't end without talking about their accompaniments, the avocado salsa is creamy, semi-spicy and very smooth with balance. The roasted salsa brings a char smoky and spicy flavor, the smoke segues nicely with the other flavors and enhances whichever taco you choose to add it to. The salsa verde is slightly citric from the tomatillos and gives the acid side to the flavor profile. I enjoyed these tacos and the se ice was spot on good. Update on the way

The portions are solid and the flavors always hit. The only downside is the fries used to be better, I really miss the seasoning they had before. They are still fine and we keep ordering them, but I do wish they had a bit more flavor like they used to. Another small bummer is that there tends to be a noticeable homeless presence outside near the Starbucks, which has become pretty normal for the area. That said, they generally do not seem dangerous, which I do appreciate. Overall, this remains one of our go to spots. The food is still great, the service has always been good, and it continues to be a place we are happy to return to.

Everything was going normally until I got to the sauce options at the end. The employee asked if I wanted barbecue sauce or hot sauce. I didn't hear her clearly at first and said "mild," and she responded in an irritated tone that it was either barbecue sauce or hot sauce. I told her I had never seen the barbecue sauce before and asked what it looked like. She repeatedly just said "it looks like barbecue sauce" instead of simply showing it to me or explaining it. I even asked if she could show me the sauce, and she still responded dismissively and seemed annoyed that I was asking basic questions before deciding what I wanted on my food. What made the interaction worse was that there wasn't even a line or rush happening at the time. I wasn't trying to hold anything up -- I just wanted to know what I was ordering. The receipt listed the employee name as "Estuardo," although the employee helping me was a woman, so the register name may not match the actual employee. I'm leaving this review as constructive feedback because a little patience and friendliness goes a long way with customers.
