Update: I still think this place is great, but I tried the linguini primavera with alfredo and it wasn't my cup of tea. The alfredo sauce just tasted like cream, definitely needed more parmesan and salt. This is the first time I had primavera that came with olives, definitely wasn't expecting that, overpowered the cream sauce, all I could taste was olive, even after I picked them all out. I will stick to the pink and vodka sauces. I found this place on Yelp after another place fell through and I am not disappointed!! Right off I appreciated that they are offering free delivery due to COVID, within a 3 mile radius. We started with cheese bread, and the spread under the cheese is so freaking garlicky and buttery... I could probably have just eaten cheese bread and soup. I only ordered the Stracciatella Romano soup because the very nice man who took my order said it is actually really good, despite the description sounding weird. He was absolutely right, it was delicious. The pasta portions were so big all I did was taste the soup and put it in the fridge for lunch tomorrow. The pink sauce is what we got on both pasta dishes, the Guiseppe had the option of pink sauce or alfredo. I would probably try the alfredo on the Guiseppe next time, I think the pink sauce overpowered the mushrooms and tomatoes. Personal opinion,really, to each their own. =) Adding chicken to both dishes was the right move, the chicken was very well cooked and had great flavor. Both pasta dishes were very good. What a hidden gem! Cute little Italian restaurant in Bedford! (They also have location in Arlington and Keller, TX). The interior design makes me think that I was in an actual Italian restaurant. Their food was fresh and was so good. They also have many different options for everyone so it's a good choice for family dinner or a get together dinner(pasta, pizza, seafood, chicken,...) We got the Salmon Toscana, Lasagna and the sample appetizer. The lasagna was really good! So I wanted pizza but we don't really have great pizza in this area. So I looked this place up and found pretty good reviews. I called and ordered supreme pizza and wings because there was a picture of wings on their menu but they don't serve those anymore. Then I asked for it to be delivered and clearly explained where I lived which was 2.6 miles away, within their 3 mile delivery, only for him to inform me it was 4.1 miles so there would be a charge. I went to pick up the pizza and was asked if I had ever eaten there before to which I replied no and was told I'd love it so much I'd be back every week. I get home with the pizza and the crab stuffed mushrooms. The mushroom filling was mushy and a weird texture. We continue to love their pasta dishes and we love their white pizza. But a PSA: there are multiple Cafe Sicilia locations so If you call in an order make sure it's for the right one. We have always been treated very friendly by any/all of the staff there! We love the "country salad" here and usually order a double portion with chicken added. Never been disappointed. Very large portions and fresh ingredients. I've dined inside the restaurant only once, when my parents were visiting. There are usually people dining inside whenever I pick up a to-go order. We also sat outside on the sidewalk patio once (during covid-times...) and at that time we brought our own bottle of wine to have with dinner. Fantastic experience tonight at Cafe Sicilia despite my visit being cut short due to an emergency. The inside is quaint with rustic Italian decorations. It smelt amazing the moment I walked in. We were promptly seated and drinks were ordered. Our server, Ivan, was absolutely fantastic. He even recommended a secret appetizer that sounded delicious! But we went with the house favorite arancini (which was humongous) and the cheese tomato garlic bread. I think the garlic bread would have been better with smaller pieces of tomato. I got the chicken rollatini for my entree and it is absolutely incredible. My partner got the Stromboli and said it was fantastic & huge. I intend to come back very soon! I've also taken pictures of the menu since I didn't see any new ones on Yelp! My friend and I were looking for something different, and carbs. Found it! This is a cute little mom and pop shop, set up in a little strip mall. The parking can be a bit tight, but the experience was worth it. Let's start with the service. Our waiter was great. Attentive but not TOO attentive. Had a good personality and made us laugh. We both ordered strombolis and salads. The house dressing was a lovely tomato vinaigarette, that I really enjoyed. The stromboli was great. It is HUGE and packed with meat, veggies, and cheese. Everything you want in a cheat meal served alongside a bowl of marinara. The sauce is lovely and NOT sweet, which is a pet peeve of mine. Now, there was a little mix up and they put mushrooms in my friends dish. She hates mushrooms! The waiter whisked it away, gave us a eta on a replacement, and the manager came by to apologize and offered us a dessert for the trouble. They were very friendly and really wanted to make sure we had a good experience. We did, even without the cake. I insisted my friend pick the dessert, as I was treating her for her birthday. They overheard and wrote a note on our plate. She got the banana chocolate chip cake and really enjoyed it. We we're both very pleased with our experience. We weren't rushed and enjoyed catching up. We also checked out other dishes as they were coming by and plan on returning. It is BYOB and everyone there looked like they were enjoying their meals. They also do a lot of take out service. It's in a small strip mall, but once you walk inside, it's a little Italian restaurant in NYC. We got Spahetti and meatballs and Angel Hair with oil & garlic. Both were excellent. It came with "garlic" bread. While the bread was delicious, it's not your typical garlic bread. I prefer "in your face" garlic bread, this isn't that . Again, don't get me wrong, it was good, it just wasn't the kind I'm used to. I digress. The meatballs were excellent. I wish I could have eaten more! So, so good. After 23 years of being loyal and frequent customers ... we are done! On two previous visits we encountered roaches, advised management and accepted their apologies and gracious offers to encourage our return. We took a few months break before trying again because we really wanted to continue our patronage. Well, last Saturday our meal was once again (3rd time) ruined by roaches in very plain sight. However, the new manager wasn't apologetic, caring or seemingly interested in securing future business, which our wonderful waiter indicated would be her response. If roaches are crawling out from under pictures, scurrying across tables and running across the floor ... can you imagine what's happening in the kitchen? Hey, I get it, it's Texas - we have bugs. The chicken however, was seasoned well but DRY (It kind of tasted defrosted).The portion was some-what small for the price of $14.00 and that was without tip. A few weeks ago, we decided to try this place, since it was Italian and near by. Lately, we have had bad experiences with eating out at other area restaurants, but I am pleased to say that we had a nice experience with Cafe Sicilia. The employees were welcoming and helpful, when answering our questions. We ordered an appetizer, which unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of, but I did remember to take a picture right before I ate the last one. We both had Caesar salads that were fresh and just the right size before our meals. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious. The rolls were also very good and a decent size to soak up all the left over sauce in the dish, because you can't let that go to waste. My boyfriend ordered the baked ziti, which is his go to when we go to an Italian spot and he liked how it was made here. We also ordered a pizza to go, when we ordered the rest of our meal, and we asked them to start making it about mid-way through our meal, so it would be ready by the time we were done eating. We did still have to wait a bit on it. But not a big deal. However, we got home and wanted to try a slice, but the crust was underdone so we had to cook it a little more. Other than that, the pizza was really good and the ingredients tasted like they were of good quality. Next time we will be sure to order the pizza with the crust well done. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely eat here again and maybe I'll actually have room for dessert! read more
