I entered the cafe on a whim instead of grabbing a bag of chips from the Walmart across the street and was not disappointed! The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and welcoming. I ordered the chicken and mushroom panini and I was in love from the first bite in. The flavors were bright and fresh and I immediately had to tell the owner how great it was. I also had a slice of banana cake which tasted like the best banana pudding you've ever had, except in cake form. The whole experience was splendid. The owner was such a gracious hostess. Ambience was very pleasant, French Cafe music playing in the background, attentive and hardworking staff, but the food let's get to the food. Cappuccino was on point, Belgian waffle was fluffy, panini was crisp and delicious, and I requested egg white only, whole wheat pita adjustment on a Steak onion and peppers pita, with cheese, fantastic, steak was done just right, as were the peppers and onions, well done overall! Colorful interior with cushioned chairs and a very cozy atmosphere. I started out with a vanilla latte. My expectations were low, but OMG I don't know what it is about this latte, it's phenomenal. "Gourmet" coffee is definitely right. I got a late breakfast: an omelet with spinach, feta cheese and turkey sausage. The omelet was fresh, flavorful, the perfect portion, and plated beautifully. Overall, I'm so pleased with this place. I finished off with taking a reform cake to go, and of course I had a couple bites in the car. Delicious, very light, I brought it to work and shared it with everyone :) The owners are incredibly kind, I spoke with both. This is the cutest cafe in jax. Luckily I love in the apartments that are above the cafe, which is how I heard about it. The owner is just the sweetest person in Jacksonville! Goes above and beyond for her guest to have a great experience. The food is delicious, and don't get me started on the pastries and cakes! Take about making someone's mouth water. This place is truly hidden. It has a cute cafe vibe to it when you first walk in and two cute tables outside. The owner is very sweet. Starting off the coffee drinks are delicious. I had the chi latte and my husband had the white chocolate latte, both amazing. If I lived in the apartments right there, I would be going there all the time for coffee. My husband ordered one of the omelets and he was very pleased with it. I tried it and it was delicious. I ordered the waffle. When it came out it was very cold, so I sent it back. It came back out and it just tasted like t had been stuck in the microwave because it was very chewy. Besides the issue with it being cold, I wouldn't order it again. The menu said fruit and syrup, but it actually had fruit, syrup, whipped cream and chocolate syrup on it. It was just a little overkill on the sweetness for me. I definitely would not have ordered it if the menu had reflected all of the toppings. I can appreciate that this is a small business. read more

I got the chicken pesto panini which was HUGE and tasty. The chicken was so fresh, clean, and well-seasoned. Good just like mama would make. We loved it here! Adorable, little cafe with fun jazz music and super sweet owner. My husband got a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich and I got the waffles with strawberries and bananas and both very tasty! We also got a mocha cookie, which had a nice flavor and great chewy texture (can you tell I want another?), a latte, and a pizzelle marshmallow sandwich to go. On Thursdays, my mom and I pick a different place to have brunch. I go on Yelp, look at reviews and go. We picked Cafe Veneto this time. We've driven by this area hundreds of times. Never knew it was here. It's small, cozy and it feels like I'm in Italy with the music that is playing in the background. It seems the lady is the only one working there because she took our order, made it and brought it out. Maybe staff come in later in the day. We got there around 1030. They offer breakfast, lunch, desserts, cold and hot drinks and smoothies. We ordered bagel with cream cheese. But it wasn't any cream cheese. This had chives and olive oil in it. OMG! So good. We got lattes and one muffin with egg, cheese and turkey. Absolutely delish! As a treat she gave us a sample of one of her home baked desserts. Also delish. I decided to go here this morning because I was out of coffee and it also had a good review. It was a very cute shop ran by a very nice lady. The egg sandwich I had was terrific, the lattè was also very good and very authentic. (Nothing like a Starbucks or dunkin lattè, it was better) the coconut cream frapè had great flavor but the ice was a little too thick for the straw.
