    Chicken pho
    Jennii S.

I have been coming to this café for years and I'm not sure why I've never posted a review. This place is phenomenal. The first time we went. I got the beef pho my husband got the beef Bulgogi. The pho is delicious massive portions with amazing flavor, perfectly cooked noodles and delicious tender cuts of meat. I feel like most people are coming here for the pho. I tried his Bulgogi. It was just as delicious very tender. You can definitely taste all of the flavors in it. It came with rice and some kimchi. Also cooked perfectly, and the kimchi was punchy and crunchy. Every other time that we have visited here, we have gotten the pho. I've also tried the chicken. It's just as a delicious. I know this place has won some awards for its food and I can see why. I did recently try some crab Rangoon's. They were delicious as well not too greasy just the perfect crunch and flavor I come here about twice a month and I will continue to do that because the quality and the price is perfect.

This place just feels really cheap and the quality of food tastes the same. The price is not justifiable for the quality either. There was no combination pho, which is what I usually get and should be a staple in every Vietnamese restaurant. So I just got the beef pho. The broth itself had no flavoring and the noodles were already way too soft when I got my bowl. They also serve lemons instead of limes? Very odd and when we asked for extra lime, they gave us a lemon. You order at the kiosk and pick up the food there too. Utensils and sauces are provided in a self serve station. The way the tables are arranged makes it really hard to walk through without bumping into people. I wanted to give this place another try but sadly had the same mediocre experience as last time. There are better Vietnamese spots in the area.

Ordered pho and some spicy noodles. It was packed inside but the food came out quickly. The pho was okay and had a nice flavour to it. The portion was big too. It's an okay place to get quick Asian food but wouldn't really come here for authentic food.

This is one of the best places I have been to and tried in a long time! I have never tried Pho, until yesterday and I am now craving it again! The atmosphere is cozy. It feels like a little cafe. You order at the register using the kiosk, so it was easy to manage. I loved the self-serve aspect, especially when trying something new and having the opportunity to browse the menu. The food was delicious. One of the employees will call your number, and there is a tray prepped with your food and seasoning. Hoisin sauce + Siracha are on the table for easy access also! The beef pho was truly delicious. The broth tastes wonderful and comforting, and this was the first time I had rice noodles instead of ramen noodles! I was pleasently surprised, and it might be my preference! I can't wait to come back and try more of this menu. Definitely a go to spot on my own or with friends from now on!

**Cafe Vie** is a cozy, cafeteria-style spot with some seriously tasty pho and a mix of Korean and Vietnamese eats. We tried the large beef pho, and wow, it was flavorful! The broth was rich and perfectly seasoned, and honestly, it's big enough to share--or save some for later unless you're super hungry (which is totally fine, too!). We also got the pork bao buns--they were good, but could've used a little sauce to make them even better. The pad Thai was different from the traditional version, with a sweet, tangy red sauce, but still tasty in its own way. So, if you're looking for great pho in a laid-back spot, this place is worth a visit. Only thing is, I wish they cleaned the tables a bit more, but I get it--they stay busy!

They have a an expansive menu with Korean and Vietnamese options. The interior feels sort of like a food hall/cafeteria which is kind of nice. However, the food is just ok. The chicken curry rice doesn't taste much like curry and kind of looks sort of just like a stewed chicken slurried with cornstarch to make a yellow gravy. It's somehow comforting but again, not curry. The pho broth is pretty flavorful but is extremely greasy. I've had it a few times and it is always very greasy :/ The meat is over cooked too and my broth had a BIG chunk (about the size of an adult man's thumb and palm of the thumb or chicken drumstick). We also had a half order of sweet and sour pork. It was a pretty hefty order. Came with a bunch of sauce on the side and heavily goopy/glazed as corn starch slurry. You'll find cheap eats here and it's just alright.

I recently dined at Cafe Vie for the first time in a while. It is a casual spot with self-service kiosks and spacious seating. I came on a Sunday afternoon, which was a pretty busy time. The food came out relatively quickly and the portions were generous. Food Breakdown: Donkatsu (Pork Cutlet): The cutlet was crispy and they give you a lot of rice and salad on the side. Pad Thai: Sweet, tangy, and nutty flavors. It was a little different as it was more saucier than I'm used to for pad thai. Jjajangmyeon (Black Bean Noodles): The sauce was a bit more sweeter than usual. I did like the large portion size. The casual dining setup was comfortable and convenient. It's a good spot for a variety of options and a quick pick me up.

When we are craving Pho, we come here. One of the best place for Pho and other Asian dishes. Self serve. Casual dine in or carry out order. I haven't been in for awhile. They added a kiosk for ordering and it seem to be a little faster service. They must also have new management. The flavor of the Pho broth wasn't quite the same. But still good. Price is more reasonable than other places. I come here for the convenience and it's close to home.

Best Pho in town! The Vegetable Bun is the perfect comfort food, and the pad thai never disappoints. The service is fast and the restaurant is very clean.

When after work to have some Pho. Sweet and savory and loaded with ingredients, definitely will be coming back next time I'm in town

Beef bibimbob with taro boba and fried veggie dumpling. Complimentary soup on the side.

Food was amazing, they had a wide variety of options - Korean, Vietnamese. They have a big seating area and two options to self order. Service was fast and easy - self serve.

I have to apologize - I ate my SO left over last night at 2am - this is a no judgement zone so carry on.

FYI, they don't take reservations for parties less than six The special dessert for the day was the cream cheese wontons, which were very delightful and like most Asian restaurants not very sweet, but a yummy accordingly, and they were served with a side of mango almost like a chutney.. To start we ordered the Chili Pepper Wontons (wontons are filled with a shrimp, pork, and chicken mixture and then topped with cilantro, scallion, and a chili sauce) which were not as good as I remembered and the flavor seemed off. For our entree we split the ginger basil chicken (Bite size tender thigh meat sautéed with sesame oil, ginger and fresh basil) which was good but the noodles were a bit undercooked. While we didn't have to wait for a table, almost all of them were full when we arrived. Ika is a smaller space in a strip mall off of 119 in Leewood, so there's not a ton of seating but the restaurant went further back than where we sat so there's probably more room than I could see. The kitchen/sushi bar is right up front when you walk in and takes up a good amount of room toward the front but it's aesthetically pleasing. The decor was very nice and everything was clean. They have a big chalk board near the front door, on the wall with their specials. They have quite a few. The menu is very large and our server came over about 5 minutes after we were seated. We ordered some edamame but asked for some more time to look at the menu. When the edamame came out, we placed our order. We decided to both get a side salad with ginger dressing and share two of their special rolls. We got one of the specials off the board, the Hidden Dragon. It was really good and by far my favorite out of the 2 rolls we got. My friend also really liked this roll and thought it was the better of the two. The other roll we got was the Rainbow which is a California roll topped with various types of fish. Neither of us are big fans of salmon so we asked for it to be left off. I didn't really like this roll. I normally love tuna but I prefer it cut a bit thinner and I'm used to it almost having a butter texture where it melts in your mouth. I'm not sure what was going on but all of the tuna had a very strong flavor and yes, I'll say it was fishy. I realize some people like that but I don't. Maybe it was the Hamachi (yellowtail) but it was not for me. I tried 2 pieces and that was enough. My friend liked it better than me but definitely preferred the Hidden Dragon too. I would probably give them a 3.5 if that was an option because the Hidden Dragon roll was very good. The service was efficient and quick. Not overly friendly. They never even acknowledged my friend's bday even though she was opening gifts and we sat a small birthday pop up paper cake card on the table. Not that we expected anything but maybe just a comment about her birthday. Maybe they were too rushed for anything extra. My disappointment in the tuna on the Rainbow roll is my reason for the lower rating. The rolls are $18 each so getting one I really couldn't eat is unfortunate. They also use the crab salad and not just a piece of crab in their rolls. I prefer the latter because I'm not too fond of all the extra mayo from the crab salad. I missed taking pics of our rolls! The Hidden Dragon looked fantastic and the Rainbow looked better than it tasted, lol. My friend still enjoyed her afternoon birthday lunch! I would possibly try them again to explore something else on the menu since there were so many options but I won't go out of my way to return.

The nostalgia hit me the moment I walked in, it genuinely felt like I was back in Korea, enjoying fried chicken with a cold beer in chilled glasses. From the atmosphere to the food and overall quality, everything felt authentic. We started with the onion rings ($8) with some beer and Diet Coke, followed by 10 garlic soy spicy wings ($12+) and the spicy pork rice topped with a fried egg ($16). The onion rings were perfectly fried, soooooo crispy, perfectly seasoned, and a great way to start the meal. The wings were outstanding and EXACTLY HOW TO GET THEM IN SEOUL: crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a flavorful garlic soy sauce with just the right amount of heat. The spicy pork rice was rich, savory, and packed with umami and the salad which came with it was extremely refreshing. It didn't taste overly spicy while I was eating it, but I noticed the heat afterward, lol. Overall, it was a great and satisfying meal. The service was excellent, and our server was incredibly kind. She patiently offered thoughtful recommendations, gave us plenty of time to decide, and kept the restaurant clean / managed it while we decided the order.
