Came here for breakfast and it was great. The service was friendly and attentive. Parking is in a plaza with fitness 19, a grocery store, and more, so plenty to go around. The ambiance was nice. There is inside and outside seating. Decided to sit outside and brought my dog - she loved it. However, would say that for outside sitting, limit to 4 max for a table (5 ppl could be possible but you'd need to check with the restaurant). Ordered the TO Burritto and got a side of cottage cheese (there's plenty of side choices that I cannot remember - but there's a lot). The matcha latte was good. Also ordered pancakes (they are biggg, like shareable big) with a side of eggs and bacon.

Excellent service. Staff are very accommodating. Our server is friendly. I got the Noa Chilaquiles. It's filling yeah if you don't mind eating mostly tortillas. 2 eggs and half avocado, no other protein for $19 something. It's expensive. I will get something else next time. Philly steak sandwich is good. This is a better choice for the money. They charge 3.75% for non cash payment. So bring cash if you don't want to pay for that extra. Will I be coming back? Probably

Came in about 1 pm and noticed one other party finishing up their meal. Pleasant environment, comfortable seating, super nice wait staff. Ordered a veggie melt sandwich less the cheese and a side salad. My hubby ordered the same with cheese and sweet potato fries. Sandwich presentation looked good, served on focaccia, with a little too much oil and pesto. It was tasty although filling was skimpy on both sandwiches. For $17.00 would have expected more to this sandwich. Free parking in lot out front.

I heard jinkys sold to different owner and revised the menu. Totally different place and fun menu, and similar spacious seating inside &outside. Ordered the breakfast flat bread, fried chicken Benedict and the Cali melt. The breakfast flat bread was awesome and totally recommend for a group of people to order that as an appetizer to share while ordering your own meal. It has a sweet, spicy and savory favor. The bread is airy , with a nice chew to it. Easy to have as own meal but why not share, that is love. The chicken breast Benedict was hella hearty and very sizeable portion to be stuffed. The server said you might need a pillow after eating this, and yes, it's food coma good. The Cali melt had great garlic toast that you can actually taste garlic not just smell it. Substantial and tasty. The team works well with each other and very attentive to the needs of the table. Would come back. Thinking to try the funky mango burger.

The location is the old Jenkys cafe, a lot of the same menu items. Brunch was yummy with our table getting savory and sweet dishes. The frosted French toast with bananas strawberries and drizzled Nutella was yummy and just need a tiny bit of syrup. I would recommend if you want a sweet breakfast! Add the 2 egg and 2 slices of bacon and you have a meal for 2! It was a very nice place for brunch, staff was pretty quick, refilled waters often and were very nice. Dining room was cute and updated but bathrooms need a renovation.

Service was great. I really enjoyed my go to chilaquiles. They weren't too spicy. It was just right amount of kick.

This place was super delicious!! Definitely come when the weather is clear so you can sit outdoors, if was so worth it to see the butterflies and flowers. I got a French toast and might I say it is one of the best ones I've ever had! The servers were super attentive as well which was nice considering we were outside! The coffee was also pretty good! Not my taste but my gf loved it so take her words!! Overall will be coming back, what an excellent experience!!

Always looking for a good breakfast or brunch spot, this place seemed to check those boxes. The first thing I noticed was the variety of the menu. There were so many things that were unique and sounded good! When I asked about the chili selection for the omelette, I was offered a couple samples which was a really nice gesture and helped me choose. I opted for the chili omelette with El Draque chili...their spiciest one offered. It's not a burn your face off spicy; it's more of a flavorful Thai Chile style spice that hits on the flavor and the heat. Service was good, but I felt it could have been a little more attentive. I never had my water glass refilled while we were there. I was able to try a bite of my wife's breakfast chili chimichanga and it was delicious. She got the mild Bartholomew's Beef chili which was really flavorful without the spice. I liked that item a lot! I'll be back to try some of the other interesting items on the menu here!

What a great place! The food was tasty & flavorful, but what made it a great experience was Kylee! Great customer service, friendly and offered chili samples so we could choose the correct heat for us. I was excited about the outdoor seating so the dogs could come. Next time I come back I want to try the chilaquiles.

Excellent menu. Great service at fair prices. Nice ambiance indoor and outdoor. Jinki's was the old restaurant that used to be here. We'll definitely come back and try their breakfast.

As a result, Dear Hubby and I haven't been close by to Little Calf to remember to stop in for quite a while. Recently, though, after a nearby medical appointment I felt like some non-dairy ice cream. It was a Saturday in the mid-afternoon, and they weren't very crowded, which worked out great for us. They always have at least four options for frozen "ice cream" without the cows' milk dairy. Having just been through an MRI test, I decided to treat myself to a small sundae. Hadn't had one in ages! Their hot fudge is outstanding! Just the hit of chocolately goodness I was craving. I paired it with lemon sorbet. It was a wonderful combination of sweet and tart. It was warm enough to sit out on their side patio and just relax for a while. I remarked to DH that I miss all the plants that the previous business owner had kept out on the patio for atmosphere. The current iteration is clean, but on the boring side. We love their food, so I'm overlooking the lack of ambiance for now. That being said, DH and I have been discussing recently how much we miss the kinds of places that used to have great style in their decor. Theme restaurants are more rare these days than they ought to be. I'm sorry for our kids and grandkids that they don't get to experience more of those kinds of visually interesting kinds of places without having to go to a theme park. I definitely enjoyed my small sundae as a wind-down from the whole MRI experience!

Kids devoured all their ice cream, which is rare for them to do. They also serve food here, which we did not get to try but is good to know is an option. They have tables everywhere and a fountain machine and some unique teas I got to try, like their lavender tea! This was beautiful and so amazing. I can't wait to come back and grab another ice cream espresso from here and maybe try one of their sandwiches. Yum!

Since I work long hours during the week and usually am not up for jumping right up on the weekends, that is cool with me! DH will go over and pick out fresh pastries for us for breakfast/brunch. He'll usually select one savory item and one sweet treat. Often, their Japanese-style egg salad tucked inside a pastry is so perfect for me. The actual dough is like a marriage between a bagel and a croissant. It's lighter than a bagel, but it's flavorful and tender like a croissant, but not flaky. The egg salad filling is just right for my tastebuds, and it provides protein in a fancy, delicious fashion. Today there was a hint of savory garlic on the pastry, and that added a nice flavor accent. Today's sweet pastry was an open-faced tart filled with a smooth, light chocolate base, topped with creamy custard, and then sliced pears on top. Mmm. I like the choice of pears offering a hint of the autumn season ahead. The last time we had out of town guests staying with us, we took my them to Le Herisson one morning. They fell in love with the food and the sweet, simple ambiance. The next morning, my sister-in-law got up early and went back over, bringing back a box of pastries for everyone to share. That definitely tells the story of how much everyone enjoyed the food offerings. It's a special treat to have a quality bakery like this in Simi. We prefer it to another well-regarded bakery on the west end of town, which is a different style and more expensive.

This La La Land cafe location, though, is the worst one of them all. The customer service and experience is always terrible and horribly long. It's NOT that other locations aren't popular like this one, it's that the baristas here use this as their hour to chat like it's group therapy. It has always been, on multiple occasions now, a shock to witness the way the workers are completely oblivious to the customers and lack any consideration, especially on speed. Today was the breaking point for me as I gave them the benefit of the doubt, as maybe the first time was just a one-timer experience. Unfortunately, it was not. Today, my boyfriend and I came by and ordered drinks and a piece of hazelnut toast. The line wasn't too bad while waiting, but what took a long time were the drinks and worse, the food. We watched as the girls making the drinks were chatting away, one with dark brownish black curly big hair with blond streaks and glasses, talking to her other coworker. It was really frustrating as they were holding onto drinks while they were finishing stories before calling out the names for them. I eventually had to ask that exact girl if she could check on my toast, as it had been around 10 minutes. She said she'd go check, and that was great....up until she saw someone she went to college with after walking 6 feet towards the back and then got into everything that was new in her life with her. After another 5 minutes, I had to ask the black girl with a bandana that she was working with to go check on my toast; as she was now doing multiple drinks at once since the other worker decided to take a 15 minute break apparently with no notice or communication to anyone. She went to the back and came back out with my hazelnut toast that I ordered a couple minutes later, and I thanked her. I also said a quick sorry to her since I had asked that girl with the two-toned hair already and knew that this girl was busy, but she nodded and said it's totally fine. Realistically, this puts the customers in an awkward position because although she might be okay with taking on another coworkers work and job, the customers aren't always thrilled to ask multiple workers where their food is when they shouldn't have to in the first place. You know it's bad, too, when the older gentleman next to me looked at me and stated how "nice" it was that I had to ask for them to check on my food for a second time, as he had also noticed that she completely disregarded her job, too. He said he'd go ballistic if he was the manager. "Me too," I said to him. Like stated earlier, though, this isn't the first bad experience here. Coming here previously consisted of the girls also talking so much to each other that they got the drinks WRONG! One of the girl baristas mentioned that the drink was made wrong as they were putting it out on the table to grab. To make up for it, they opened the lid and squeezed a half cup of chocolate sauce on top of the iced Camp Rock matcha latte I'd ordered. With La La Land, I enjoy their matcha and their food, but with these consistent terrible experiences, it has solidified my service at Makenna Coffee right across the street. All of these issues could be avoided if the workers paid attention and did their jobs. Literally. If everyone acted like this was their job and they had to get the drinks out in under 2 minutes like Coffee Bean does, it wouldn't be such an awful experience. But because there is no sense of urgency at all with any of the workers, and the lack of attention leads them to messing up the orders, then this location really isn't deserving of any business.
