One person in our group does not drink alcohol, and we were explicitly assured by the Home Means Nevada company at the starting location that every participating bar would have non-alcoholic options available. When we asked, the front desk guy grabbed the manager and he informed us we'd have to pay full price for a non alcoholic beer. He then went on an entirely unnecessary monologue about how the business makes "no money" from the wine walk and claims they do it out of the "kindness of their hearts." We completely understand the economics of a wine walk, which is exactly why we checked beforehand to ensure our non-drinking friend would be accommodated. No other bar on the walk had an issue with this. Hoping to salvage the afternoon, we asked if we could sit down for food (since the restaurant was slow). The front desk guy gestured to the menus and said "I mean sure" and told us to grab menus and seat ourselves. The menu stack happened to be under a host's phone and keys. While holding our items and wine glasses we tried to pull out menus, as he watched us struggling to grab them as our hands were full and a hosts personal items were on top of the stack, we knocked over a glass. As we scrambled to help clean up and keep the host's items from getting wet from the spill, the front desk guy sarcastically snapped, "Uh, can I get those back?" as if we were trying to steal the employee's personal belongings. As working professionals in the local community, we were highly offended by how we were treated. There is a severe lack of basic hospitality, kindness, and respect here. The tortilla chips were house-made, the brisket was quite flavorful and tender - it all came together perfectly with the sauce, crema, egg, avocado and cilantro. We both ordered the spicy margarita, which was excellent. Not too strong and with a nice kick. We arrived around 1pm and sat next to a wood burning fireplace. Talk about feeling spoiled with the whole place to ourselves! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. We knew they had just hired a new chef and he has been working hard on a new menu that will rollout very soon. Apparently, he has offered several specials over the past few weeks as an "introduction" to his culinary talents and all have been well-received. We look forward to returning when the new menu is fully integrated. The whole restaurant/bar/club is beautifully decorated and feels very upscale, but not pretentious. He listened to my likes and dislikes and crafted a unique blend of Mezcal and secret ingredients that I will not reveal. The drink was amazing. He shared his creation with me so I could recreate at home. Appetizers were good so we stayed for dinner. There was a little bit of confusion about the dinner order and two dishes came out too salty for our liking. Mishaps happen all the time but it's how an establishment deals with it that matters. They remind me of the freshest chicharrónes and give the nachos the perfect crispy texture. The Cajun queso and andouille sausage on top are incredible. I've had just about everything on the menu, and not once have I been disappointed. GET THE SALTED BUTTER PECAN ICE CREAM!! You will most likely be too stuffed to eat it there, but take some home. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. While the setting is casual, the food is upscale - including the burgers. They offer game meats, elk, kangaroo, venison, and wild boar, in addition to high end beef and a small selection of seafood. They also have a few vegetarian/vegan options. I had the Citrus Glazed Salmon with root vegetables and squash. It was very good. The salmon was fresh and and flaky and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Rock Candy Short Rib. He deemed it "acceptable" Mine was paired with a light dry Savengon Blanc. Service was good and our satisfaction was checked. I debated between a 4 or 5 star experience - I decided on 5 mostly due to the quality of the meal. Return visit? Yes.

The food is pretty good, affordable, and tasty. If a big game or sports event is scheduled to be televised, you won't be able to get near the place. So be prepared. Otherwise, the place is huge with plenty of seats. The food is always consistent, with many items from scratch. My suggestion is to give it a try. Whether by yourself or with a bunch of friends over some beers. Oh, by the way, it's got a huge bar surrounded by T.V.'s to kick back and watch your favorite event. Give it a try.
