Cafe Yum is true to its name and delivers! Whenever I fly out to Portland and visit family in Beaverton, I always stop by. Came here twice in a 1 week span! The Jazzy wrap with Thai jasmine rice, black beans, avocado, and tofu are truly bursting with flavor and my go-to! The Seitan skewers were very flavorful and my pick over the BBQ tofu skewers, which were stiff and didn't taste as fresh. The menu is a bit complicated and the bowls come with lots of toppings by default. There's flexibility to customize your order with bowl/wrap and add/remove toppings. Looking forward to coming back!

Original yumm bowl add southwest chicken and extra avocado!

I absolutely love Café. Yum. The sauce is delicious. I always add the southwest chicken and extra avocado and get the next size up container so that I have room to stir. I've been known to buy the sauce and make my own at home. Sooooo good!

    Southwest Yumm! Bowl

We visited at 7 pm on a Saturday and there was barely a line so we got our order in less than five minutes. The staff was friendly, and we had no problem redeeming a mailed coupon. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavors in the bowl. I was worried that a bowl of mainly rice, beans, and vegetables may not be too exciting, but everything tasted great. We loved the tangy flavor of the southwest bowl. However, we were disappointed that there weren't any actual tortilla chips included with the tortilla cheese yumm bowl.

It was spontaneous idea to meet my friends there for lunch, good selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Mine was very good, yummy and healthy vegetarian option.

I would say they've improved. The staff is like night and day better. The food I haven't seen done incorrectly nor have hair on it in awhile. I would say the ambiance is the same but now you can actually eat inside again.

Hot 'n' Jazzy (Spicy) with Vegan Sub Avo

Ordered Take out on DoorDash. It mentions on the website that dishes will be more expensive on any of their delivery partner sites and hence recommend ordering take-out from their own. So thanks for the heads up/disclaimer. Now for the actual order: We ordered 4 dishes - all hot and jazzy bowls. One subbed with brown rice, chicken breast and vegan sub avo (This means substitute cheese and sour cream with avocado ) - this order was fine. One subbed with cauliflower rice - this order came with normal white rice. One with extra avocado - this order didn't look like it had extra avocado. This location also doesn't have organic turkey breast. And, by the looks of it, maybe not even cauliflower rice.

Been coming here since they opened way back in 2008 or 09. Sooo good! It's easy to get addicted to Yumm Sauce, and it goes on so many things. Great on Salmon and eggs to name a couple. Get a yumm bowl if its your first time. You can customize it as well. Love the Salmon burger and the Turkey Reuben as well. Great food with healthy options

Hot and Hot 'n' Jazzy (Spicy) no sour cream and add tempeh

My favorite food right now. I got the hot and jazzy with tempeh and no sour cream. Melt in yo mouth delish. Like I want to take a bath in it.

I've actually become a lunch regular here. They've gotten a lot better at what they do and have ironed out the kinks.

Their bowls are good but the yumm sauce is too much. I like whole bowl on SE Hawthorne 100 times better.

Food was good but they had small portions and it was way overpriced. I left still hungry.

Noisy (as in banging the dishes around), food was so-so. Overpriced for what you get, considering this is mostly a self-service place.

The kind of place where you expect someone to be editing a documentary on a laptop made of recycled aluminum. Late afternoon visit, so the hipster crowd had clearly skateboarded back to their respective creative labs. I had the place to myself. Prime auditing conditions. First impression? This place is built for volume. You can tell. Efficient layout. Assembly-line potential. If bowls were a factory sport, this would be a playoff team. Ordered the Home Grown. Took a quick bathroom break. Came back and -- boom -- bowl was already on the counter. FAST. And it looked elite. Then I saw it. A generous dollop of peanut butter at the top, sprinkled with hemp seeds. I almost got emotional. It felt like flying over your hometown after months away. Familiar. Safe. Right. First bite? Delicious. Smooth. Creamy. Almost like frozen yogurt or soft serve. Easy eating. Crowd-pleasing texture. And then... I looked up. Another bowl was being made. The açaí base was coming out of a soft-serve machine. As a purist, this one hurt. I want hand-scooped. Blender-blade symphony. Crafted, not dispensed. I had a small internal crisis. But here's the problem: I really enjoyed it. So now I'm torn between my values and my taste buds. Would I go back? Yes. Would I wrestle internally again? Also yes.
