I always take my coffee to go, but the seating looks comfy. I enjoy the hot latte or cappuccino. The pain aux raisin and "Queen Aman" (phonetic spelling) pastries are my favorite choices. The hot panini sandwiches for lunch are better than one might expect at a coffee shop. read more

This place gets loud. Every time I've ordered they have to ask again because they didn't listen the first time. I need a late, quiet place at night to read, and the upstairs is an option. But they kick customers out of the upstairs section 3-4 hours before the entire cafe closes to clean it. A whole bunch of us (all strangers) looked at each other in confusion over why we were getting kicked out so early. This has happened every time I've here, so I'm not coming back just to get kicked out of the upstairs area at 6pm. It doesn't make any sense. Plus side is that they offer soy milk in place of regular milk. Just remember to clarify _soy_ milk or the cashier might misunderstand you and get you SKIM milk and you'll be exploding in diarrhea all night long. read more

The place is amazing and perhaps even better than the other Nero Cafe which is not too far away from that place. However, the reason why I gave 4 stars is because when I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk the girl made me a cappuccino with whole milk. I'm tolerant to lactose, but for some reasons whole milk by itself (not in yogurt or in some other form) is the only dairy product my body cannot digest. Since I got the cappuccino in the morning I had a stomachache the whole day. I know it's a new place but still they need to be more attentive to what people order. read more

Super cute interior. The service is terrible. Caffe Nero takes your order while you stand in line and makes it as you wait. Then you pay. Sounds cool and easy, right? I stood in line for about ten minutes and one of the baristas took my order. By the time the crowd of tourists had dissipated it was time to pay for the drink. Didn't see anyone making anything but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The barista had totally forgotten about my drink while the 3 people behind in line all were being handed their orders. Finally someone asked if I had been helped and I said yes and pointed to the barista who was supposedly helping me. He acted like he had never spoken/or see me before. Ridiculous. I just walked out without a drink in hand. I had already waited for almost 15 minutes. Filled with TOURISTS. So if that annoys you, stay away. AND the Caffe Nero in Chinatown is not that better. When this place first opened the service was great, but now it's in the dumps. Based on the lack luster attitudes and service, it's obvious no one wants to work there. They also have no respect for dietary restrictions. I regularly come to this location because it's the most convenient for my commute but I've had multiple experiences where I have requested almond milk and gotten regular milk. Today I had to have the woman remake it because I caught her using regular milk even though I clearly specified almond milk twice just for her to respond with "oh that's what you said". It's not a loud space mind you. The other location in Chinatown a few blocks away is way better, go there instead it's worth the extra steps to get the proper order with people trained in customer service. read more

My family of 4 absolutely loved this place while vacationing in Boston. Such an easy walk from our hotel and the best vanilla latte I have had. We also enjoyed their Strawberry Fraise smoothies and breakfast sandwiches and breakfast croissants! I highly recommend if you want to fuel up before any activities you have planned for the day! I came in here exhausted on a hot and humid day after walking up steps to get out of the subway. I just had two bottles of sparkling water, no food. I've had food at one of their London locations and it was surprisingly good. Unfortunately, the brie and bacon sandwich I got there isn't even available at their US locations. The cafe has a cozy feel with couches, a fireplace and bookshelves lining almost every wall. There is also a long, communal table in the center where many people were set up with their laptops (yes, there are outlets). I've had coffee and pastries at other Caffe Neros and they were good. However, today I really wanted a creamy mocha frappe, and was incredibly disappointed. It was very watery, and did not taste at all like there was any "mocha" to it. Had a bad experience at the location on summer street. I am in line to order and move toward to the registration as the line move. People before me were asked and helped. The baristas don't wait on you one at a time, they take 3 orders at once and this young woman started making a cappuccino for someone behind me while I was waiting for my iced coffee. All she had to do was pour the coffee, but she said that they wait on 2-3 people at a time. Most inefficient. Shouldn't take that long to get an iced coffee. Plus, half and half was sour. read more

I just had a very disappointing experience. They made a watered down small americano that looked like a dark beige water. First, I was ignored for a couple of minutes while patiently waiting to speak to a barista. When I finally asked to remake the drink or make it stronger, they said they won't change it and that I would have to pay for another drink. I left my full drink on their counter and left. I like Nero's coffee but this location is the worst I've been to. As Tomasz said below you wait ages even if you're getting something pre-made. Apparently my sandwich was very pre-made--soggy yet hard bread with limp slices of tomato and the barest spread of pesto. Gross. The service is really inconsistent, I've had some rude cashiers as well as some helpful ones but they all take forever to get you anything. It's worth the two-block walk to the Chinatown location, which seems better managed. read more
